    Has anyone had the time to scroll through the overall leaderboard in search of the first serious canditate for the win? I just scrolled through the top ten and I'd bet my house on none of them winning or even finishing in a top 1k.

      Wilson is always going to be a gamble - I'd probably upgrade him and maybe one of your defenders.

        You can't wildcard from that. It's a decent team. payet's looking better value than ayew (but not for this week). maybe wilson to tekkers, ayew to payet next week.

    Currently on a wildcard and giving some thought to the most boring decision in the squad... is Westwood still the best bet for a 4.5m midfielder? He has good stats, seems to be nailed on with assist potential. Or is Wanyama back to being a good option now he's back in the team. He does like a shot and served me well last season.

      Honestly I think this season you need a better first player off the bench than 4.5.

      Look at what Hoolahan and Albrighton have done for teams so far.

        Thanks both.

        I take the point, but I'm not a big fan of rotating attacking players, it results in too many benched points. As it stands I will likely have 5 playing defenders so will always have a good reserve or 2 there and Westwood is also not bad back up.

        As far as 3-5-2 goes, I can't justify not playing Wilson for his short term fixtures

          I actually think this sites 'points on the bench' fear is completely misplaced. Yes it's frustrating if it happens but the points being in your bench are no different to the points being not in your squad at all. You still don't get the points.

          At least if you have a strong first option there is a chance of getting this points. Plus making decisions like benching a possibly injured Diouf against Arsenal so that Hoolahan can play Bournemouth will get you more points in the long run.

          There was an article about a poker players approach to fantasy football that explains this better than me.

            You make a good point.

            I guess the decision I need to make is whether to go for someone like Hoolahan and a 4.4 defender like Cook or Westwood and Evans. Money is still an issue.

        Good advice - allows an easy switch to 352. There is little advantage this season in being excessively scrimpy with your 5th midfielder. After all, if you bought Mahrez early enough the extra cost would only have been 1m from the cheapest midfielder of all, same applies to Wilson and even more so with Ighalo. The only downside with a "genuine" 5th midfielder is the selection headache - but it's a good one to have!!

      Got the same issue myself. Thought it would start at the weekend but nothing happened for him. even gambled with the armband on him.

      Eriksen should be back by the weekend. He might get minutes on Thursday.

      Unlucky. I know people may say he had Newcastle at home but West Ham scored six goals in their two previous games and Payet had zero involvement.

    Chadli > Shaqiri for a FT or save?

    Stoke have Leicester then Bournemouth both at home next. Nice fixtures after that too.
    Chadli has CPL at home next and I'm likely to take him out after that week if I save.

            Yes, but I took Payet out for him for this week 🙁 And Pedro has Newcastle, Southampton and Villa after Arsenal. Should I still take him out? He is benched for me ATM.
