Last weekend saw a brace from Clint Dempsey grab the headlines in Fulham’s 2-0 win over Wigan as Mark Hughes’ side recovered from two straight league defeats to climb back into the top half of the table.

With a broken leg keeping Bobby Zamora sidelined for the next few months, Dempsey has been playing as an out-of-position forward for the Cottagers and the American has taken his chance to impress. In the six games Fulham have played since Zamora‘s Karl Henry-enforced injury, Dempsey has scored four goals and, taking Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Bonus Points into the equation, has racked up a total of 41 points during this period, compared with just 6 points in the first four league games of the season. Averaging almost seven points per game up front, then, Dempsey is making a mockery of the fact his price has dropped £0.3m (from £7m to £6.7m) since the season began.

        That could apply to any player though.
        
        He's had a week off to recover from an ankle knock - big difference there.
        
        But the point of him being fit isn't the issue, it's whether he'll bring in more points than the rest of the squad.
        
        As he's 1st on my bench, he'll probably score now - but previous away games have convinced me to leave him there and if Coleman or Elmo doesn't play, then he comes in.

Considering bringing in Coleman for a 4 pt hit - would probably play at expense of Adam in midfield - fancy our chances for a 2-0 win here, so hoping for a clean and maybe an assist but adam will get 2 pts and also could squeak a goal. I want coleman in for next few games anyway but should i hold out?

    Could go for distin/jags but I like the attacking option ( sadly can't afford baines) can't see Coleman being displaced just yet - osman is out for at least 6 weeks,, billy's not a winger and anichebe is just coming back from injury and is more an impact sub so it's not clear who else would play on the right

        I think its worth it, I brought him in myself this week, Everton don't really have anyone who can play there at the moment, he is one good performance away from repenting his place in many teams I think.
        
        He has the potential to be this years Bale as Everton are tight at the back now.

Not sure what to do at all. I would want Nani and VdV back in as soon as they are fit so reluctant to get rid. Malouda hasn't returned much recently but he has two nice home games coming up but if he plays today he might miss FUL or SUN. Great Big Hairy Balls.

    Yep Shawcross is a good move. Stoke are playing Sunderland there's a good chance of both teams cancelling each other out.

      Shawcross has largely been bobbar this season and would be out if there hadn't been more pressing Fabregas related matters on a few occasions. That's another thing to ponder now.

I have 3 players that are injured, nani, vdv, tevez and malouda might not start.
Only 0.2 in the bank
thinking of taking a 8 points hit for vdv >arteta and berba for Hernandez/bent.
Any advice would do

  Similar position to you (below). Berbatov prob worth keeping for these 3 gws. You be gutted if you downgrade to Hernandez and then Berbs gets the points.

Im really stuck. Got to leave in about 20 mins and before that need to make transfer(s). Either just change a defender, ideally Foley although Bosingwa is an option or could also get rid of Nani/VDV and bring in Arteta and then get a better defender.

  Don't transfer anyone out who will play.
  
  Bosingwa is out this gameweek according to the Chelsea website, FYI, but may be on the bench.
  
  I think Nani will drop and Arteta will rise over the next 9 days but that's a risk you have to take. There are no certainties in this game.
