The time comes when every Fantasy Football manager has to react quickly to douse some fires in their squad. The problem is, my team is currently a blazing inferno, without a disco in sight.

At least that’s Granville’s opinion. Buoyed from seeing his canny capture of Anthony Martial deliver a brace at St Mary’s, my cocky co-host is quick to dish out a whipping to my ailing lineup.

We discuss the merits of United’s new teenage sensation as part of another round of community questions, served up once again by Jonty. The three of us also ponder the Chelsea revival, David Silva’s fragile ankles and just how our Fantasy Football managerial styles translate to the dog world: a crunch question that’s been brewing unanswered for many episodes.

      Currently on Aguero but just brought Ighalo in for Tekkers. Went for a bit of a differential as I think many in my ML's will have brought Martial in who I don't own. Seriously contemplating sticking the armband on the Watford man.

        True but its an admittance of desperation telling your players to just 'ave a shot. Especially when they're doing it with 3/4 players ahead of them on the pitch, notice how few (as a proportion) of the shots were from the strikers:

                I think your team is not that urgent that you must make that transfer, so I think saving the FT will provide you more flexibility next GW. Some people might play Gomez and hope he starts, but I think BR is more interested and desperate on how to win the game. Swansea defence is not that bad overall, they are a balance team who knows how to defend if they want. Especially away to Soton, don't think they will go gung ho.

    I'm already on -4pt and got a big dilemma..
    Silva and Benteke are out for the next GW!

    I don't think i'll be shipping both because -12pt would be too much.
    But who to ship 1st and for who?

    I'm thinking Benteke, since the fixtures aren't favourable either.
    And with Bodgers still at the helm, no use of having any LFC players atm.

    Who's the best option to replace Benteke?
    My other stikers are Kun and Wilson.

          That is true but a shot is essentially the end of an attacking play. Something that Hazard might not be getting on the end of. In the past Chelsea relied on Hazard to do the finishing.

            From what I saw in the last match (Chelsea vs Arsenal) , Chelsea were playing very narrow with Pedro's sole purpose in the match was to run the ball from the right flank to Hazard and then shoot from a Hazard lay up

            He looked so direct against Arsenal though. He looked like a new man, drifting in and around the box, and dictating attacking play. I think he may be back.

    A lot of people here have been criticizing the use of a strong front 8 but why do the same people advocate a playing back 5 then?

      I am only interested in first XI and 3 playing backup including GK, not a fans of rotation. Even I have a 5th playing defender, he is the bench fodder.

          3 main defenders, 3rd defender will rotate only with 4th when the fixture is bad. I tried to rotate this season, but no luck. For example, Azpi + Kolarov + Dawson are 3 main defenders, Francis will come in for Dawson when WBA opponent is a tough one.

              It was just an example, my team is Kolarov + Darmian + Gomez, Ward is 4th defender. I prefer not to play Richards. If Gomez opponent is a tough one, then Ward will replace him to look for attacking point, since both CS are unlikely. But now Gomez not nailed, Ward injured, so I have to use an FT to get a 3rd defender who is Evans to replace Gomez. That is the way I play.

      A playing back 5 is very different to a strong back 5. Much the same as a playing front 8 vs a strong front 8

            Not the same , one plays 60% of his defenders , 3/5 and 7/8 or 86 % of his attackers

    Play Butland (got a feeling of first cleanie for Stoke) or the legendary Myhill?
    Start Gomez or Souare?
    If Silva starts, that means dropping Ayew to the bench or go AOA?
    I've got a headache.

      Not a bad week to use AoA tbh, but I'm still waiting for better and hoping Gomez/Darmian starts.
      I think I would play Myhill, even when he is due to concede....and Gomez.

    If you use your All Out Attack chips and one of your mids doesnt play. Will your team bring a defender in when the autosubs are done? And do you get your chip back if that happens or not?
