The time comes when every Fantasy Football manager has to react quickly to douse some fires in their squad. The problem is, my team is currently a blazing inferno, without a disco in sight.

At least that’s Granville’s opinion. Buoyed from seeing his canny capture of Anthony Martial deliver a brace at St Mary’s, my cocky co-host is quick to dish out a whipping to my ailing lineup.

We discuss the merits of United’s new teenage sensation as part of another round of community questions, served up once again by Jonty. The three of us also ponder the Chelsea revival, David Silva’s fragile ankles and just how our Fantasy Football managerial styles translate to the dog world: a crunch question that’s been brewing unanswered for many episodes.

    So I'm thinking my Benteke replacement will be short term cover before they then become Pelle or Martial in GW11. On that basis, which of these looks best?

    A) Ighalo (CPL, bou, ARS, sto)
    B) Bojan (BOU, avl, swa, WAT)
    C) Gomis (sot, TOT, STO, avl)
    D) Rondon (EVE, cpl, SUN, nor)

    A) and B gives the option of Mane -> Haz next week
    D) gives the option of Mane -> Pedro next week

    Hello all, any UFPL players here? Triggerlips posed a question regarding loans earlier.

    Thinking of doing Costa-->Lukaku in UFPL costing 6 points for a 3 week loan. Reasons are, firstly, obviously Costa is out for those 3 GWs and secondly, Lukaku plays the last game day in 2 of those meaning I'll have an easy replacement should Kun, Wilson, Vardy or Gomis fail.

    Worth the 6 points? I'm currently 215th in the world in UFPL so really need the best decision.

      as i said on your last post: costa is only missing 2 gameweeks.

      Lukaku is a risk at the best of times, and plays pool next week, so I don't think its worth it. you'll probably get more mileage from rondon or berahino

    At this stage, I'm thinking of fielding my team like this:-

    Shaqiri (BOU) Ozil (lei) Yaya Toure (tot) Payet (NOR)

    Wilson (stk) Aguero (tot) Ighalo (CRY)

    Bench: Ruddy (whu) Mahrez (ARS) Richards (liv) Morgan (ARS)

    I think I'll go Payet (C) and Ighalo (VC)

    Is benching Mahrez too risky?
    If it is, who should I bench for him to play?

        I was thinking of that but Leicester have a leaky defence. Do you not think that the likes of Coquelin, Gabirel/Mertesacker and Koscielny will mark Mahrez tightly and shut him out of the game?

      1) He's 19 years old.
      2) He's new at the club and to English football
      3) He's 19 years old.

      That said, I reckon about 80% chance he'll start. Feeling fairly confident handing him the armband.

      However I can see the argument with Aguero over Martial, simply because he is absolutely integral to the team, on pens and guaranteed to start.

      Transferred him in last night and am regretting it. Martial playing means lvg is willing to put rooney, his beloved striker, in midfield after promising him the forward position, while a midfielder like herrera needs to be benched. On top of this lvg keeps downplaying the situation. He intended to ease him in and still might decide to do so. Im not sure of him starting every game.

          I think there was a spell last season where he played up front with Sturridge out. He turned 20 in December but can't remember if it was before that. I'd imagine he had a pretty high captaincy rate then.

        I have also been thinking about the Gomis > Martial with a free transfer . So many counter opinions on here that it all comes down to gut. I think I'll stick.
