A poor start to the season saw Tottenham lose heavily to both Manchester clubs but Saturday’s win at Wigan gave Harry Redknapp’s side their third win in a row to move up to sixth in the league. Sandro’s return to the first team following a knee injury saw a change in thinking from the Spurs boss as his team’s shape resembled more of a 4-2-3-1.

Pairing the Brazilian with Scott Parker in the middle, Redknapp moved Luka Modric to a starting berth on the right, giving him license to drift inside, and with Rafael Van der Vaart stationed behind Emmanuel Adebayor, Gareth Bale produced an outstanding performance wide left as he looked more like the player who won last season’s PFA Player of the Year award.

In our latest article for Members, we analyse the data from the win at the DW Stadium, as a dominant display saw Bale ranked third overall in our ICT Index ratings for Gameweek 6, behind only Robin Van Persie and Demba Ba.

      Very hard!
      A. Is he nailed on? Not really done much besides that Penalty due to no Bent/N'Zogbia, however plays for a better club with decent fixtures, although they are a defensive team it seems.
      B. Huge potential, alot of close calls so far and could have had a few goals/assist by now if he was a little luckier, 0.1 cheaper, however plays for a shit team, and good fixtures arent that good when you are Wigan.
I'd prefer Moses because I still think he has some points to offer.

Rooney starting is good news, and im glad he's fit being man u fan, but im still kinda glad i swapped him out for aguero, as aguero will be playing longer game time (possible 90 mins) than rooney imo.

however, why does rooney being fit mean he will start? if they cn put the game to bed early there will be no need for him regardless of whether he starts or comes on off the bench?

    thoughts? 🙂

there's a case for not starting rooney but i can't see it personally. ferguson has said he's fit and trained well so they can't play the keep him out of the international card. he also doesn't need rest. i don't have him and am sh*tting myself, not as much as those who sold him this week though

Roonpig will not start and neither will Hernandez. Hernandez was originally brought back slowly and suffered an injury when back. There isnt a need to start either one of them coming off of injury. Otherwise, they should have at least made the bench for Champions league. Out of the squad completely to then come straight into a home game vs Norwich with Internationals coming up followed by liverpool and man city. Fergie wouldnt take a risk like that methinks, especially with welbeck on form and berbatov due for the odd 5 goaler vs weak opponents.

i agree with all of this, i've always been a fan of rooney, and just purely out of that i would rather him be rested than not rush things to try and prove something, fergie knows this anyway. Just mind boggles me the way everyone thinks he's gonna be on a hat trick with captaincy locked on him, think its rather foolish myself 🙂

    Given, Ruddy
    Kompany, Bosingwa, Brown, Simpson, Wilkinson
    Mata, Silva, Arteta, Dyer, Moses
    Rooney, Adebayor, Dzeko

      thoughts? most people hate RMTs.

If you have a question ask it. If you arent sure about something then ask.

Dont just put your team up and then say what shall i do?

Whats the point in managing a fantasy football team if you get other people to make all the decisions. Grow a pair.

so far this weekend I have shipped theo out for nani, rooney out for aguero, to then bring rooney in for dzeko and johnson (norwich( iin for brunt...

all this for a 12 point hit in which has been indeed my worst managing gameweek of my career, i can just pray that my trades will prove me right...

    My (woeful) team:

    Given (Vorm)

Kompany - A Cole - Jose Enrique (Ward - Brown)

    Silva - Sinclair - Moses - Cabaye - Sessegnon

    RVP - Aguero - Holt

    -2 Million in Bank

    -1 Free transfer

-Wildcard available but not activating it until after international break.

-Took a 4pt hit last week so I'm slightly reluctant to do it again this week.

    Pick option 1,2,3 or 4 please 🙂

    1. A Cole out A Ferdinand in + Sessegnon out and Nani in.

    2. Silva out Nani in.

    3. Aguero out Rooney in.

    4. RVP out Rooney in.

Your help is greatly appreciated 🙂

True, but while he's been declared fit there's still uncertainty over what exactly his role will be on the weekend. Starter? Subbed off after 70? Subbed on at halftime? Too many questions for my liking.

I've got him. QPR have been surprisingly strong defensively and he's a good differential. Seems to attract the BPs also. If you're tight for funds, Gabbidon is the cheaper QPR alternative.

Steven Taylor is 4.8 last I checked, and the top scoring defender so far. Worth grabbing him if you can afford it!

Yeah its a toss up between ferdinand and steven taylor for me at this stage. Might just go with ferdinand because I never pay attenton to price changes and the extra money might save me from a bad financial situation

I've said it before, I'll tell you again ...

Don't take Aguero or Silva out this week ....

Don't take RVP out because you will want him next week.

Either do 1. (although I wouldn't have A ferdinand) or don't make any changes and save your WC

Name all the strikers currenlty playing in the premiere league better than Holt who I should consider having.

A little behind the coin so can't afford 3 big hitters up front.

However, I do have Silva, Nani and Mata (brunt, Moses) in mid.

    Go Detroit Tigers!

Its either/or with the way my team is set up. Nani will score more goals than Silva and is a bigger threat with regards to set pieces and bonus points accumulation. Also gets a load of assists.

    My team for this GW,

    Given
    Ward,Kompany,Bosingwa
    Young,Jarvis,Silva,Mata
    Agbonlahor,Zamora,Aguero

Given the news that Rooney is healthy, should I try and get him in or is my team solid the way it is? (I've already used my transfer for this week, so it would cost me a 8pt hit).

    GW7 team:
    Given (Vorm)
Bosingwa, Kompany, Enrique (Simpson, De Laet)
    Silva, Tarrabt, Dyer, Cabaye (Brunt)
    Rooney(c), Aguero(v), Adebayor

2.6 in bank. Right subs and XI?

Is it worth taking a hit to bring in Nani for Tarrabt? If so who to downgrade?

    1 – Kompany —>Brown/Woodgate
    2 – Bosingwa—>Brown/Woodgate
    3 – Enrique —>4m Def
    4 – Brunt —>Johnson (NOR) or Tiote

You have Rooney already, so I'd say there is no reason to take a point hit just to get "more" coverage. With that said, if you are set on doing it anyways, I'd go with #4.

Currently undecided on whether to play M.Petrov or Bosingwa.

Not at all sold on Chelsea's ability to keep a clean sheet, and if Bolton score Petrov's likely to be involved...

Is it worth gambling on Bossie's attacking play in the hope he'll score/assist to make up for likely conceding?
