Gameweek 8 saw two more players topple off the Suspension Tightrope as we head into the second international break of the season. Sunderland centre-back Sebastian Coates was the first guilty party after earning his fifth yellow of 2015/16 in the second half of yesterday’s home draw against West Ham.

Coates will now miss the Black Cats’ trip to West Brom next time out as the Wearsiders prepare for life without Dick Advocaat after the Dutchman resigned earlier today.

This afternoon, Coates was joined by Tottenham’s Eric Dier, who has now been booked in five of the first eight league matches in his new central midfield role. The 10%-owned defender, who had been drafted in by over 25,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers prior to today’s caution, will now miss the Gameweek 9 home encounter with Liverpool.

Despite losing those two to suspension, the Tightrope now boasts ten faces – three more than last weekend.

Ciaran Clark, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jack Colback, Billy Jones and Dele Alli all remain on four yellows and are joined by five new entries this time round. City pair Eliaquim Mangala and Fernandinho incurred the referee’s wrath in yesterday’s 6-1 romp over Newcastle at the Etihad, whilst West Ham’s Mark Noble is another fresh recruit after collecting a yellow card in the 2-2 stalemate at Sunderland.

Oriol Romeu is also added to the mix. The midfielder picked up his fourth caution in as many league starts for Southampton against former club Chelsea yesterday – he’s managed that feat in just 371 minutes of top-flight action. Earlier today, United full-back Matteo Darmian found his way into the referee’s notebook in the 3-0 loss to Arsenal.

The weekend brought further woe for the Black Cats, with Jeremain Lens set to miss the Gameweek 9 trip to the Hawthorns. The Dutchman – whose goal in yesterday’s draw means he played a part in five of the Wearsiders’ eight goals under Advocaat – was dismissed after receiving cautions for fouls on Carl Jenkinson and Winston Reid either side of the half-time break against the Hammers.

In terms of newly available players, Chelsea’s Diego Costa, Watford’s Valon Behrami and Everton wide man Kevin Mirallas are all in the frame in Gameweek 9 after they served the last of three-match bans for violent conduct this weekend.

    Myhill (McCarthy)
    Kolarov, Darmian, Dawson (Richards, Targett)
    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Mahrez (Sinclair)
    Aguero, Vardy, Sakho

Had a 100+ haul this week , have some ITP ,

Should I trade Sakho to Pelle or Lukaku ???

    Thanks

2 goals and 3 assists in 5 matches for Eriksen

Like Silva, he never fully gets the returns his play deserves, although it is more acceptable around 8m I guess rather than 10m

I'm completely stuck here. Any thoughts much appreciated.

A: Azpi, Mahrez to Souare, Mane
B: Mahrez, Martial to Vardy, Mane
C: Westwood, Martial to Mane, Ighalo

    Confused? I am.

You've been decent in previous seasons. Aim to finish on 3 or 2 digits. Looking strong. I've been in your position only once. One advice would be avoid hits until necessary.

I've only seen highlights of Dele Alli bar one Europa match, but he really looks some player for 19 years old. Heard a lot of hype about him last season when the deal was first announced but never expected him to hit the ground running like this

Pedro will be lucky to even start (Willian has been their best player, can't see him not starting). KDB seems to be playing right behind Kun on the pitch, and looks like he will get more goals than Silva.

If you're going to do it then hit the button tonight before the price changes and get the players who are rising the most rapidly.

I don't find the international break makes much difference in terms of getting TV though - people still only have 1 FT per week regardless of the time until the next GW, so there will be roughly the same number of transfers, just spread out more. In the middle of the break the transfers slow to a crawl. The only thing that might make a small difference is that more people probably try to save two transfers for an international break.

Thanks, that's good advice. There should be a bunch of rises early this week then it'll calm down.

How embarrassing for Anderlecht today 😯 Three missed penalties in one game.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqYEQ7JYTnA
    7' Praet D. (Penalty missed)
    14' Okaka S. (Penalty missed)
    89'Tielemans Y. (Penalty missed)

Come the 94th minute, they were up 1-0, 'til they conceded an owngoal (Kara) & ended up drawing in the final seconds of the match. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AVrDf6GUzA

    Anderlecht 1-1 KV Mechelen.

Do you guy's remember any other embarrassing moments in football like this?

Incredible, that's up there with the time Walters missed a penalty and scored two own goals against Chelsea.

(AVL) next, could be the early bird special if he delivers considering his run-in soon after, IMO. A

I ditched him. his returns have been very lucky and with Sanchez on such good form it's too hard to ignore him. The way Chelsea are playing I don't think it matters what fixtures they have.

why is scott dann getting so much hype? did he play really well this week or smthg? does he have a lot of attacking potential?

2 decent fixtures next, 2 bad, followed by 2 good.
