Our first members article of the international break arrives this afternoon. Assessing the players by classification across the last four Gameweeks, we look at the impact made by Southampton and City’s new centre-halves, Newcastle’s raiding right-back and Palace’s big Norwegian as Alan Pardew’s defence starts to tighten up.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Bellerin. West brom fixtures pretty poor after the next three. No way they're gonna keep three CSs in the next three either.

Arguments in favour of either tbh. Arsenal are clearly better so Bellerin will get more points. Arguably, you'll struggle to have three attacking ARS players so, on balance, Bellend.

Seeing Euro 2004 etc in the Rooney documentary has got me wondering whether I enjoyed football more before I played fantasy football.
In 2004 I was 9 and I think 2004-2010ish was the peak of my enjoyment of football, maybe it was an age thing but I do feel that my love for watching the game has become very different since starting fantasy football!
Anyone else wonder whether they would enjoy the game more if they didn't play FPL?

As a sunderland fan I wouldn't enjoy it with or without FPL. At least I get some good weeks in FPL.

Probably a little more, but 2004-2010 was when the English sides were at their peak, title challenges between the top four were interesting and all four English sides dominated in the Champions League. I loved it.

Now, European Leagues/the Champions League is more interesting for me personally, sadly.

Think it possibly only affects my enjoyment of the premier league. I enjoy internationals, but I don't trust to hope too much. I remember watching that tournament, it was really a Golden generation. When you see those players, you have to wonder how we didn't get further. We wasted our best players, with bang average coaches.

Feel this deserves a RP to a different audience, something to use as well as the members table's. Some very well done graphs to highlight teams that are doing well offensively and defensively, well worth a look.

This is the main website for all the leagues he does:

This is for the premier league alone:

    (Hennessey) Jerome, Nyom, Simpson

Been reading the Newcastle forums and a poster said they played the worst against the lesser teams (Swansea\Watford\West Ham) ...Newcastle might be one of those team who are not quite good enough to play against the footballing side and too lightweight for the more physical teams. Next few games will give a better idea...Am not really keen on both of those picks.

Food for thought on Walcott. They play Watford next and they are going to park the bus. Walcott thrives on having space behind the defenders to use his pace...That space is not going to be there. Plus Arsenal play Bayern Munich later mid week in the champions league were Giroud is ban ...There a really good chance Walcott might be benched for Watford...

You have a point altough I was expecting him to be benched for the ManU game aswell after a midweek game, which didn't happen, so from my point of view he's a first choice striker now. As for the watford game only, you're probably right, possibility of Giroud starting over him is quite big, tough i don't expect them to rotate regularly. In long terms I think Walcott will become (or already has?) no.1 striker. Thank you for advice anyways 😉

Yeah, will probably wait this gw and use only one of my 2FTs to gain 0.2m that I'm missing (something like Diouf -> Berahino or Cresswell -> Bertrand). Would you make any of those?

You can wait on the Diouf injury because he 3 good fixtures coming up 🙂 I have Reid at the back and he's been replaced by Bertrand so i would do Cresswell > Bertrand. I would wait one more week on Walcott he's not going to rise..

There's every chance that Cedric will get rotated or brought off at Half Time.

Swansea have decent fixtures, but Southampton have almost equally good fixtures if not worse.

And based on current form and stats, Southampton have been dong really well at the back, Swansea's stats have gone down massively since GW4.

So I wouldn't buy Williams until I see some improvement if I didn't have him, but since I do, I am happy holding him.

Those who have the AOA Chip, when are you planning to use it? By planning, I mean is there a certain period where the defence you have doesn't look good and you might be throwing in a possible AOA Chip then?

In next three windows I can get Lukaku and Mata in by giving up Sanchez.
          Bojan can turn to ighalo
This is what am planning. Even if I don't take an AOA I will still reach this team.

Simply when you think your 5th mid or 3rd forward will outscore your 3rd defender. AOA is only a solution for a defensive crisis. Not something with great returns..

Thing with Hoolahan is the risk of rotation. If he doesn't play the chip will be wasted. I dodged one last GW by not playing AOA bc Mahrez didn't play.

Anyone who's playing EQ fantasy on here ?

Want to talk about my (active) wildcard and who are the best picks for GW9 + GW10 😀

      From Group D

Muller and Lewandowski and for GW10 id get Robertson and either Maloney or Fletcher.

        thanks!

Muller is for sure in my team. Not convinced from Scotland but I could get one of them now on the wildcard. They're playing Gibraltar next GW and then it's essential to have Scotland cover.

Aye was thinking for the Gibraltar game in GW10. Would probably play the defender in both games but only an attacker in GW9.

            ok thanks!

I think I need some players from Georgia, Romania and Hungary from the more unknown nations this GW. Also don't know who'll start up front for Switzerland and Spain.
            It's really tricky.

I didn't know he was, I recommended him because that's one I'm looking at.

Also thought of Janmaat, but he plays for Newcastle. You might find one you prefer that's slightly more expensive, but I'd prefer Souaré and the 0.6 banked.
