In a new series of Members articles, we look to examine the progress of proven Fantasy talent, mining the Opta statistics and our own ICT Index to assess their progress so far and the likelihood of Fantasy profits in the future. The first player to fit the profile and come under scrutiny is Wolves’ Jamie O’Hara.

The former Spurs man has tested the patience of his Fantasy owners to the full so far this campaign- time after time he seems on the cusp of pulling out a substantial points haul, only to walk away with a blank. A miserly total of 14 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points would suggest O’Hara is going missing in games for Wolves in the opening two months of the new campaign but closer analysis of his stats shows this is far from the case.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Is there much chance of Davide Santon getting game time soon? Thinking of swapping Roger Johnson for Santon to give me cash to get rid of Moses and maybe bring in Anderson.

Pardew has said he doesn't want to change a winning/drawing formula, so Santon may have to wait just a little bit.

Damn true, but dem's his words & his results. Personally, methinks Santon will get a start when the results ain't going quite so well.

I chose to transfer Dyer out for Moses on my WC reason being that Moses is far more threatening goal wise, he has the most shots on target for a midfielder <8m. Also Moses' fixtures are far more favourable than Dyers

Hi guys, someone mentioned earlier about not being able to distinguish between posts and replies (the first reply to a post looking like another separate post rather than a reply). Then someone mentioned that there was a colour difference.

Wondering if I'm missing something? Having trouble too, I'm using firefox btw. Should I see be seeing some kind of colour difference?

    Thanks for any help

Hmmm, who´s taken the most shots on goal this season between the two? Then take the opposite I guess. I would think the Swans would maintain the lion´s share of possession, so not sure how many chances Norwich will have at scoring, I´m partially to Vorm as I have him and he is a tough beat, and definitely has athleticism on his side.

Diificult choice. Has to be Moses (very slightly) over SWP to play in your team, but like I said very tough decision...both have home fixtures against possibly the two most porous defences in the league... both are "due" (I know people on here hate that phrase!

Most of you probably don't know me since I usually post at some absurd time in the morning, but it wouls really help if you could give me any advice on my wildcard team, since I've had a shambolic start to the season.

    So here it is:

    Vorm, Krul
Jones, Enrique, Simpson, N Taylor, Walker
Nani, Silva, Murphy, Ramsey, M Petrov
    Rooney, Adebayor, Sturridge.

Don't want to ship out Rooney, Nani or Silva since buying them back would be too expensive, but the others are disposable. I'm leaving 3.4M in the bank for a potential Ade to Aggers move.

    Any help gratefully appreciated.

GK/Def looks good. I know you don't want to hear this, but I would not have BOTH Nani and Rooney over the next 3 GWs.
      Rooney to RVP IMO

I can see your point in terms of fixtures, RCA, but RVP just doesn't seem to be banging them in at the moment, and this season seems more to be about form than fixtures. Having said that then Rooney didn't do a stellar job against Norwich last week, so RVP's on my watchlist.

I like it... not sure Walker is worth 5.4 though, Spurs can be a bit shakey defensively. Better options at Stoke for less.

If Aguero is fit you'll be picking him over Ade this week yeah?

I don't think it's too much of an issue having Rooney and Nani for the next few, they'll probably still score goals- I'd agree that Rooney-RVP is probably the best move if you did want to get rid of one.

Walker may be sacrificed but will see how he performs against Montenegro (always a great guide to from, as everyone knows) and then ship him for someone else if he looks poor or picks up a knock.

Spurs have pretty good fixtures for the next five GWs though, so if he does well for England then I reckon he's a good investment.

        Answered the Rooney/RVP question above.

If not Walker then who? I see lots of people going for the Newcastle/Sunderland rotation but Sunderland are shit at the moment and their fixtures don't get my sap rising enough to invest in their defence.

        Maybe a Stoke defender?

I think attacking-wise Spurs fixtures look good. Which is annoying because I'd like to drop Ade for Sturridge but feel it may backfire. But I digress... in terms of defensive returns I think Stoke look far and away the best over the next 5 or so. Plus they've conceded 1 goal in 3 home games: against Chelsea, Liverpool and United.

Not keen on Enrique, but that's just personal no logical reason, and not sure Sturridge will get the game time when Torres is back, even though he should. Otherwise it looks a very strong well balanced team that could rake in top points often.

What are people doing with Bosingwa, I am getting annoyed with the lack of clean sheets. Ok the attacking points are a bonus. I am thinking of swapping him for Phil Jones for GW10? Madness or good move? Only thing is threat of Jones being rotated..

I'm much more confident that the CS will come for Chelsea than Liverpool. Weary of AVB rotation creeping in, but having him and K as your main two surrounded by rotaters seems sound.

Not convinced by Jones myself. Particularly by GW 10.

Bosingwa in my opinion started teh season well as well know, but has since faded, and it is true, chelsea usually do conceed at least one probably every game no matter who the opposition is, also with bos's recent blunders (eg penalty for rooney etc), he is since likely to be rotated with luiz as he already is doing, and most often under 60 minutes as AVB likes his 58 minute subs for some weird annoying reason for all us FPL managers.

i got rid two weeks ago and jsut in time too as his scoring is gonna go downhill from now on i reckon, time eto sell and make a profit i say. I also have jones mate, and what a buy! bargain basement, he will still be playing next few games i reckon, pretty safe there 🙂

Surely Jones is not worth it when Utd have everyone back fit = rotation city. Defenders need to be long term picks, reliable and consistent as to get their bread and butter points (CSs), they need to be 65min men minimum.

Jones is decent value in the short term, but overly expensive IMO in the long term. Man Utd don't look great for clean sheets, eveb after GW11.

Completely agree, my rank aint too bad just building it up now getting closer to the top, think im on like 375 or so.

Vidic has dropped proper loads in points he is someone to keep in mind, always solid at the back and basically provides ManU with cleanies, as well as shot stopper de Gea ;). Thinking Jones might move to RB with his attacking//crazy mind.

Ohh nice one, ended up with about 65 points in the end, 3 for Gabby, 2 for Jones, 1 for Adebayor. Was pretty sweet. Moved from like 10th to 4th in one league

Haha, its insane aint it, we have a manager of he month bet each month, £5 per person, nothin really in essence, and then £10 to over all winner from everyone, ive come 2nd, and 3rd in last two season i think, gutted, but this season im hoping to storm over them, even tho i am lagging, but there's like 10-20 points seperating us all so should claw that up easy.

haha yeah, etchy is going down alright, i hate captain choices, seems to be forwards i tend to pick each week anyway, a mid on an off luck sometimes, but never defenders lol.

Sounds like you will be fine Mark, just keep going at it and something always happens, as long as you keep a couple good differentials anything can happen! Could be raking the money in ha.

Its the one hate i have but gotta keep with someone in form, Rooney didn't do it for me last week but im hoping he will have more passion to score against Liverpool due to the fact he was at Everton. But i still dont know, gonna be undecided until the day before as usual.

Im probably gonna WC it up large over that international break and make sure i have all the top teams good and covered with all those juicy fixtures coming up. They best not let me down, i need to get to the top where i belong ha!

Haha yeah thats what its all about, grafting along and churning out those differentials, should be fine :-).

Got a feeling rooney will do damage against liverpool, just afraid of it being an even paced game, got jones and enrique in my team, but one has either got to keep a cleanie, and if not, either one of those two defenders could have attacking threat for assists maybe even a goal.

Yeh good idea to WC to conjure up those nice fixtures coming up, again tho its scary as this season has kinda been unpredictable, but all are starting to show their true form and colours now, especially the bigger teams, hope mata comes good for me, he;s a season long keeper for me, along with young.

my team is worth bang on 102.0m now, a lad in 4th position in my league is worth 103.4! and his team is like...kak! lol.

yeah i'll be watchin the montenegro game i think in town when i go out with the lads.

just saw ure doing a masters in mathematics! u mad, mad person! you should be great with all the FPL stats then lol, my degree was in psychology and health sciences, gave masters a thought but always on the cards for the future maybe. 🙂

Yea hoping those differentials work, part of the reason why I have Adam in my team, always rate him as a player and can surprise with some high scores now and then.

Think Rooney will show up in the Liverpool match, just gonna go with him in the end probably, hopefully destroy pool... don't think it will be a CS for either tbh, i have Jones just playing him and hoping really. It's all i ever do with defenders ha.
Do you think Enrique will be worth getting after this week?? Or getting im when i WC?

Wow, personally i dont rate Mata at the moment hope he shows some form for you, and when he does i'm probably gonna sneak him in before he goes way up in price and then he will start doing well 😉 Nani, Rooney, Silva are all keepers for me.

Mine's worth 102.1 so :P. Hope we demolish Montenegro... we need to show how good our side is atm, especially with all the younger players coming through.
Maths is doing my head in but i strangely like it, just for that reason, its a good challenge. That's why i hope to do well at a game like this ha!

Ithink adam is a great shout, there will be a few games ya know where he scores very big and it will all be about him.

Yeah thats what i tend to do with defenders, jsut hope, all people can do with defenders in general, its just further down needs more certainty liek ya mids/forwards. Rooney wil turn out for the game good i reckon, wish i hadnt sold him for aguero, but both are equal goalscorers, the stats show that anyway.

i definately think enrique is worth including in your WC team, in anyone's team for that matter, was always potent for newcastle, and still yet to see the best of him, i wouldnt be surprised, when he gets off properly, to be the hangeland of last season for fulham, he's jsut ogt it in im to push up that wing, a definate buy.

yeh i hope mata turns well for me too mate, i have similar to you, just nasri intead of silva, young instead of nani, and aguero where roondog should be lol.

102.1 is great, seems to even be the lower priced teams than ours that are pulling ahead at the moment.

yeah agree, england need to show some might, im sure we will do, dont trust capello as much as i used to but things will pan out i reckon.

haha yeah maths is always a benefit, especially in something like this.

anyway, gonna call it a night laddy, eeyes are shutting now and gotta be up fairly early. Take it easy dude and i'll see you back here tomoz or some time soon 🙂

Something's gotta give and I'm going without Suarez GW9-11. Reasons:

    - don't trust Pool
    - should Pool score a hatful, I don't trust Suarez to always be involved (see the Bolton game and the back end of last season)
    - after GW11, only QPR home looks a good fixture
    - price. I'm settled with Roo and Aguero plus I believe Ade or Sturridge offer better value for money and coverage of more potent teams
    - prone to a bite and therefore a red card
    - as a non WCer the re-jigging involved is probably not worth it

Just for this week - No. Stoke are tough enough at the back at home. Depends somewhat on the rest of your midfield for this week also. Am assuming you dont want to play Adam against Man U

Hmm not too much due to the threat that he has with getting cards... but he did nearly score vs Everton... he could pull something out of the bag cause he isnt that bad of a player.
My midfield is Silva, Nani, Adam, Ramsey, Dyer.
Put Dyer on the bench, and just having Adam in as a differential, just for my team its a punt.

If you are thinking punt, then Dyer vs Norwich is as likely to reap pts as Adam against Man U. The -4 hit to get him out is almost a midfield goal. Dont do it I say.

    Here's my thoughts on Wildcard timing options ;

GW3/4 (International break) Those who played it then must be quite happy ; team value would have definitely increased due to Dzeko/ Young/ Rooney/ Nasri/ Boswingwa price increases....but where are you in overall rank?

GW7/8 (International break) Jury still out!! The players who did really well in GW7 (eg Lampard, Agbongles, Carroll, AJohnson, Gutierrez, etc.) will you really want them in your squad next week and will they even rise 0.2 for the profit? Probably not...

GW11/12 (next international break) This is where it's at ...baby. Huge swing of fixtures for the top teams.

    Vidic/ Nani/ Rooney + 2 MC + 2 Chel + 2 Ars.....

Yeah you can get pretty close on today's money... but not all of them. Dropping Vidic to Kompany gets you a bit closer. If Ramsey and Arteta are your 2 Arsenal players and Sturridge and Bos are your Chelsea coverage, you're almost there.

I may just weather these 3 GWs and hold on to my Manc assets and get Sturridge in, sacrificing Arsenal, Pool and Tottenham coverage.

Could be a long 3 weeks, but slow and steady wins the day!

After GW 11 does look a very good time, that's when I planned to use at the start of the season, but the closer it gets the more I'm thinking I may try and hold off. Using in tandem with the second WC hopefully with some double GWs thrown in to the mix could be very rewarding...

I wildcarded GW4 and didn't even bother with the price rises, I just couldn't be bothered, it is still only 101.3 I think but my rank has improved lots since then, think I was about 650k back then and I'm not 105k. 🙂

    My team:

    Vorm (Krul)
    Bosingwa Kompany Enrique (Simpson, Briggs)
    Brunt Taarabt Nani Silva(C) (N.Dyer)
    Aguero Adebayor Drogba

Thinking of doing Drogba->Sturridge to free up/make some cash, plus i think Sturridge's gametime will be more assured vs Everton after his display against Bolton.

Any other issues with that team?
Brunt and Taarabt both at home with good fixtures...

Sensible choice for a free transfer. I would go for it myself.
Then you can use your money next week to update that midfield... especially Taarabt, even when he has good fixtures he just isn't built for the PL at the moment, get shot of him there are players out there getting more points then him.

I guess if you are keeping him for the season his price doesn't really matter. I thought he was likely to fall during this difficult fixture period. I'm sure whatever he drops now, will be made up again November-January where he has a good run of fixtures as long as he stays fit and producing.
