Aaron Ramsey is ruled out for the Gunners. West Ham remain without the injured Winston Reid, Joel Ward is back in contention for Palace, whilst Ola Toivonen returns to training for Sunderland ahead of the Wear-Tyne derby.

Arsene Wenger expects Aaron Ramsey to be out of action until after the next international break, with the midfielder having suffered a hamstring injury in the midweek win over Bayern Munich. David Ospina is also ruled out with a shoulder problem and could also be unavailable till mid-November. Gabriel is back in full training after being sidelined through illness last weekend. Mikel Arteta misses out against his former club after sustaining an ankle injury in training.

Winston Reid has failed to recover from a back problem and remains out for the weekend visit of Chelsea. Everyone else is okay, confirms Bilic, though Victor Moses will miss out due to the terms of his loan agreement.

Connor Wickham and Marouane Chamakh remain sidelined through injury for Palace’s trip to Leicester, Alan Pardew has confirmed. The Eagles boss is also without the suspended Dwight Gayle up top, though Joel Ward is back in contention in defence.

Leonardo Ulloa is ruled out of Leicester’s clash with Palace due to a minor thigh problem, though could return in time for the midweek cup clash with Hull.

Bournemouth are still uncertain over the availability of goalkeeper Artur Boruc, with Eddie Howe revealing that a late decision will be made on the Pole’s fitness, after he sustained a thigh injury at the Etihad last weekend. Andrew Surman and Marc Pugh are both available after fully recovering from their knocks, while Lee Tomlin is also expected to be okay after illness. Meanwhile Howe says “it remains to be seen” whether Harry Arter will be involved this weekend.

Earlier this morning, Tony Pulis conceded that James Morrison remains a doubt for West Brom’s trip to Norwich due to an ongoing ankle problem.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has suggested that Valon Behrami is a doubt to face the Potters, with the Swiss midfielder injuring his calf during the international break. Behrami returned to the bench last weekend but is still uncertain to feature. Fellow summer signing Jose Manuel Jurado is also ruled out as he continues to battle with a hamstring injury.

Garry Monk has confirmed that Wayne Routledge is the only doubt for Swansea’s trip to Villa Park. The winger missed out against Stoke with a calf injury and will be assessed ahead of the weekend.

Sunderland’s Ola Toivonen is back in training after missing last weekend’s defeat to West Brom with a groin injury sustained during the recent international break.

Roberto Martinez has revealed that Tom Cleverley will be assessed before a decision is made on his availability for the weekend trip to the Emirates. The midfielder made his comeback from an ankle injury for the U21’s as he continues to build up his match fitness.

Steve McClaren has delivered a positive update ahead of the weekend derby against Sunderland, confirming that everyone is fit, including Kevin Mbabu and Rolando Aarons who have both returned to training this week. Elsewhere goalkeeper Rob Elliot has admitted that he’s still undergoing rehab on a thigh injury despite returning to first-team action last weekend.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    Fun facts

William Gallas only made one tackle in the entire season when Chelsea won the league a while back, whenever that was. 😀

Christiano Ronaldo has scored 2 out of his last 89 free kicks. 😯

Ronaldo is TERRIBLE at free kicks, only gets to take them because of who he is. There is just no way he's the best option in that team.

I think he mainly takes them so he can do his little pose for 5 seconds

100000% this. It's friggin infuriating. He's never, ever been good at free kicks, he's good at long shots, and scored 3/4 long-shot-esque free kicks for United, so he made a reputation for himself.

He's sh!te at them in madrid though.
Bale, Kroos, James, Modric would all be better.

Just to think of all the great free kick takers who go completely to waste at Madrid because they let Ronaldo to take all the free kicks.

In fact, he's not even a great long shot taker. He just takes a lot of them, but his conversion is barely just above the average.

He is rubbish at what he used to do, if he went back to United they'd think that Madrid had broken him.

One of the best strikers in the world though.

His long range shooting has regressed massively over the last 2 years, same as his explosive pace and dribbling.

Now he's way more of a poaching number 9, he's like a slightly faster ruud van nistelrooy 😛

I'd bet that Van Nistelrooy was a more efficient finisher, though.

Yup, he was immense, but Ronaldo does more in terms of build up than Van Nistleroy did.

Not much, but still more than Ruud..

Hazard and Gomis are the other concerns. I'm thinking of doing Hazard -> De Bruyne (FT)

Gomis is probably the player I want to transfer to the most but I've got Pelle and Vardy. There are no other strikers catching my eye atm.

If your defence is ok, I would prioritise getting Hazard or Gomis out, but tough for a hit. I am in a similar situation, where I have 3/4 players that need removing but could still provide some points now and again.

It's extremely difficult to invite pressure onto yourself and say "give us your best shot" and then succeed in keeping them out for 90 minutes.. It takes unbelievable concentration, work rate, focus and communication.

They were excellent, they created the best chances. You can't just go toe to toe with a team like Bayern, Wenger is finally realising that. Their game management was excellent, but they always had an intent to score themselves.

Hasn't happened all season. Walcott's either played as a striker or not at all.

    Help me With this one?

    A) Get in Eriksen for Westwood and play him, benching Pelle

    B) Play Pelle and save transfer.

B, as doesn't matter who Pelle plays against there is always a chance he will score. and i only feel eriksen is at his best on set pieces.

    Who to captain?

    A- Sanchez
    B- Mahrez
    C- Vardy

    Who to bench?

    A- Ighalo
    B- Yaya
    C- Pelle

      C & A

I would usually be in the Sanchez camp but I'm worried after his slack performance mid week and Arsene comments about him being tired. I think he will start but I'd put money on him not getting 90 minutes.

Bellerin at 60. Do we think he shall rise before Sidious prior to the deadline?

Might save an FT and bring him in next week...

My midfield is identical to yours. And it's probably strong enough.

I'd go for a home attacker of those,
I don't see West Ham falling apart against a local rival though if Mou has finally stirred his players anything is possible.

My principle is generally to either choose a dirt-cheap player you'll bench all the time, or to get a player you know will perform quite consistently over time. Lanzini we know too little about

WH don't really have great fixs, probably worse than Arsenal. Home against Chelsea he could do no more than Westwood, Walcott although unlikely might play wide, if he and Giroud on form makes sense to play them both.
Plus wouldn't you have to waste a transfer later swapping Lanzini for bench fodder? He's more than I'd spend on a 5th mid.
