    This week, the top 10k did worse than the rest of the game, with players such as Kane and Benteke, owned mostly by dead teams and 'casuals' scoring well.

    Average points deducted from hits: -0.9
    Top 10k average points deducted from hits: -0.6

    Average captains played: 98.5%
    Top 10k average captains played: 100%

    Average players subbed in: 0.8%
    Top 10k average players subbed in: 0.3%

    Average vice captains used: 9.0%

    It is clear that captains scored low across the board this week, contributing to the low scores which have been registered by most. It is interesting to note that the top 10k scored less points from captains than the rest of the game.

    These stats give mixed messages. The average points would suggest that the top 10k are no more knowledgeable than the average player, although little stats such as captaincy percentage played, players subbed in and VCs used suggests the top 10k are marginally more knowledgeable than the average player.

    My take on this is that whilst the top 10k might be marginally more experienced, or put a little more effort into the game, most of them won't be there in a few weeks/months time. There is still hope for us players who fail to boast a 4 or even 5 figure rank.

      Right guys... Opinions on this...

      I was one of the foolish few who sold Kolarov for Bellerin this week in the belief he was gonna miss another couple.

      Now I am very keen to finally ditch Azpilicueta to get him straight back. Seems a no brainer in terms of the approaching Norwich game, but there it was not just his temporary injury that made be transfer him out initially, it was his rotation risk.

      What do we know about Clichy availability? And what do we think about my plan?

        I think Clichy is out of the picture for a little while longer.

        Now that Kompany is back, the City defence looks more appealing; they haven't conceded a goal with him on the pitch this season.

        I'd be tempted by VVD though, between him and Kolarov.

        At least Azpi is nailed on.

        The only City defenders that look nailed on are Kompany and Otamendi, but Kompany is so injury prone and Otamendi is too expensive.

      For what its worth, his team isn't perfect - he has Costa up front and no City/United attacking cover (not that it hindered him today mind you).

        I brought in Eriksen this week. He could have easily got a goal (hit the post) and created a host of other chances. Great option IMO and managerless Villa next.

      Jones - looking like 3 BAPs for today, but is well known for being injury prone and he didn't go forward at set pieces at all today so perhaps the goal threat is limited

      Darmian - avoid

      Rojo - could be worth a shout, LvG praised him today, may well now be ahead of Blind but slight risk

      Smalling - the priciest but the best option IMO. The only nailed on starter, usually the man for BAPs and provides attacking threat. Could easily have had a goal and/or assist today

      Herrera - avoid IMO. Looks a good option, but you'll never be 100% sure he's starting

      Mata - I have gone off him, subbed off early again and was poor, Herrera took a lot of set pieces of him and Lingard did well when he came on

      Martial - the only realistic option in our attack atm. still did ok out wide but he'll be limited out there. I still don't think he's worth it despite our fixtures for the simple reason that we just don't shoot a lot. Playing centrally he's an option but it's hard to justify him over Lukaku, Vardy, Pelle or Bony

        Martial gets into some great positions though, has come very close recently and in fairness the only 3 games he didn't register attacking returns were the last against Arsenal, Everton and City who are all strong defensively.

        I think I might hold onto him as the fixtures look great, he scored midweek in the CL and if United score he's more than likely to be involved.
