With clean sheets proving hard to come by for many teams, Goal Threat from the back is an ever-crucial facet when eyeing up Fantasy defensive options.

In this latest article for Members, we focus on defenders who have played four or more league games this season, selecting the top ten performers and, when applicable, compare their stats to last term’s in order to ascertain whether there’s been an improvement or a drop in their offensive threat…

      I dont like it
Given isnt going to keep a cleanie, if he does Nasri wont do anything
Baines isnt, if he does, Mata does nothing
If Anton does, Hoilett wont have done anything
Naylor probably wont as they arent a good team away
      Brunt is meh
Nasri a poor mans Silva, but he is still a decent pick
I like the rest though, as in Nani, Suarez, Mata and yeah...

    My thoughts:

    a) Young -> Ramsey
    b) Young -> Ramsey & Adabayor -> Saurez (-4)

I'm going to want Saurez in next GW anyhow and Adabayor most likely wont play. Also with Aguero an injury doubt I currently only have Rooney as a fit striker.

This also leaves me money to go Ramiries -> VdV/Mata etc

He's infuriatingly inconsistent for FPL. He could get you 15 points this GW, or 0. But his scores generally are all over the place, with the big scores normally coming in a game you wouldnt expect. He's a right git for FPL.

      Just my opinion though.

Tough choice this - keep Adebayor (might start, but then he is against The Best Defence In The Premier League 2011/12) or get in Suarez for a 4 point hit (my first hit of the season)

Adebayor - new, bla, QPR, ful, AVL
Suarez - MUN, NOR, wba, SWA, che

Not much in it fixture wise, but would probably get Adebayor back for Suarez after GW11 as Liverpool have a nasty enough run of fixtures for a few weeks.

Definitely a toughie. I'd be inclined to keep Ade, he may yet start and even if he doesn't I can see him getting something in most of the other games whereas I don't really fancy Suarez against Utd or Che, and the Swansea game could be quite tough too. It's a really marginal call though.

Very marginal, I would swap them back after Liverpool's SWA fixture meaning I would have

MUN, NOR, wba, SWA, AVL, wba, BOL, sto, SUN, CHE

for the immediate future (Adebayor taking over at AVL). Also I'm a little unconvinced that Spurs have found the right formula as yet, they have looked pretty competent and I know Adebayor will be their main striker but I dont think they have quite hit upon the right balance. Hopefully they wont do that this weekend!

Looks pretty genuine to me as it's reflected on his own website:
        http://www.emmanueladebayor.com/

Unless this a load of tosh as well - and if it is rubbish, don't people have anything better to do than waste time making stuff up like this?

Alright, worked out what happened this account http://twitter.com/#!/E_Adebayor is verified as being is, the last tweet said he moved to the one I quoted however that's not verified so I'm not sure of the validity of any of this.

It's also on Adebayor's official site, so the message must be genuine:

Please feel free to rip this team to shreds, assuming I go ahead and do: Aguero > Suarez…

    Krul (Vorm)
    Ward Bosingwa Kompany
    VDV Taarabt Young Silva(V)
    Best Suarez RVP(C)

    Subs: Dyer Simpson DeLaet

I may still switch the (C) to Silva yet as see RVP a differential just by owning him.

      Ward - shaky
      VDV - injury prone
Taarabt - likely to just have another walkabout (on and off the pitch)

My plan is to switch Walcott and Balotelli for Ramsey and Suarez over the next 2 weeks. Should I do the Walcott to Ramsey transfer now, or both next week? Would you rather have Walcott or Ramsey for this GW?

I need some opinion. I am gonna swap S. Petrov out, but still figuring between Murphy, Ramsey or M. Petrov. The other Petrov seems like quite economic, ramsey can cover my lack in arsenal though i won't have any available fund left in the bank if i go for ramsey.

    current team
    vorm (given)
Saylor enrique bosingwa (de laet, barnett)
silva, nani, larsson, meireles (s petrov)
    rooney suarez sturridge

      Me, possibly

If Ade's looking like being fit this week I'll keep him and transfer Mata for $G next gameweek

All assuming Mata doesn't go mental this weekend, in which case Sturride out for Suarez

All assuming Sturridge doesn't go mental this week, in which case Ade out for Suarez

All assuming Ade doesn't go mental this weekened in which case I'm stumped

Agreed! And if you look at the next couple of games probably gonna score more. However both is not a bad choice, Sturridge looks good this season.

ManU hasnt looked that good at the back, and even with Vidic back he may not be on top form so likely goals at both ends I figure.

Hey guys, is this a strong enough starting line-up for this weekend?

    Vorm
    Ward, Bosingwa, Kompany
Moses, Dyer, Mata, Young (VC), Silva (C)
    Agbonlahor, Adebayor

Subs: Krul, Simpson, Aguero, De Laet

Adebayor potentially may not play, meaning that Simpson would be subbed in. I could do Aguero -> RVP for a freebie, but I feel a bit empty not having Aguero or Rooney in my team. Any suggestions guys?

Looks fine to me. You'll be OK this week and then you have a lot more options with 2 frees next.
Lots of people would do Aguero -> RVP for their freebie, but I'm not buying Ars at all. Not until they start showing some form.

Have I got my subs right this week? Really need them to be in the right order, as Aguero & Adebayor probably won't play...

    Vorm
    Kompany - Bosingwa - Simpson
    Nani - Silva(c) - Ramsey - Cabaye
    Aguero - Adebayor - Suarez

    Given - Dyer - NTaylor - Brown
