Sometimes, even those Fantasy managers who factor in form above all else are forced to revise their approach by the machinations of the Premier League fixture computer.

One of those sometimes is now.

Everton’s run of opponents, right up until the end of the year, is nothing short of extraordinary.

Beginning with the weekend’s Goodison Park meeting with struggling Sunderland, Roberto Martinez’s men avoid all of last season’s top eight clubs between Gameweek 11-19.

Sunday’s encounter is the first of five home matches in a run that has Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Stoke drop in on Merseyside. Around the home comforts, the Toffees travel to face West Ham, Bournemouth, Norwich and Newcastle – a less than daunting menu of away trips.

Suddenly, Fantasy managers are scanning Martinez’ squad and attempting to decipher the key targets and the optimum time to draft them in.

In this latest article for members, we’ll attempt to tackle this subject head on. Firstly, by analysing Everton’s current form in detail, before assessing their major performers and weighing up the merits of investment ahead Saturdays Gameweek 11 deadline.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I agree his stats have been good the past few weeks but he has still been struggling to put the ball in the net. Boric gifted him goals v Bournemouth. Arsenal, West Ham, Chelsea and West Brom in the next 5. Gw16 if he maintains his stats seems better to me.

They put 5 past Chelsea last year who are now rubbish this year, NLD is always high scoring, WBA game is away (WBA have conceded 9 in 5 home games this season).

Also spurs casually put 4 past City.

In next 6 corresponding fixtures from last season he played all but the Arsenal game and scored 5 goals and 1 assist.

Home games in the next 6

            Villa - Rubbish
            Wham - Leaky defence
Chelsea - Probably put 5 against them like last season
Newcastle - Conceded 3 away to Blunderland last week

How can you say these are tough fixtures?

I'm sure these numbers were good for STK, lei, EVE, sun, CPL at the start of the season also where he got nothing? Bournemouth he got 3 which may give him confidence to push on with good form and Villa is a great match to do so. I just feel it's 5weeks too early

Agree. Kane sucks. He got lucky last season because nobody knew about him and was riding form. Of course he'll score goals here and there because he's on pens and doesn't ever get substituted, but he's not a good player.

No, I really don't think he's good. Did you see his 3 goals last week. 1 penalty, 1 offside, and 1 gift tap in because BOU are horrible. Has Kane done anything else this season? No. He's bad.

I don't rate him much in actual footballing terms but this is fantasy football. On pens, attacking side, never gets dropped. I won't keep him beyond Aguero's return.

You love showing these stats, and I can't see them, but I figure it shows Kane shoots a lot. Shoots and misses, more accurately. I'm not saying Kane won't score 12 goals this season, but there are plenty of other cheaper strikers who will do the same, if not better. Kane has no track record, except for last year when nobody knew about him. And he's completely sucked this year.

    KDB

Madness to bench Vardy, you seem new to this game, just don't do it.

Bench is McCarthy - Zouma - Williams - Westwood. ITB like 5 mil approx (can't be bothered logging in to look while at work)

Well then I would have to bench Mahrez, and the way I see it, west brom will park the bus eliminating vardy's pace, but mahrez is on free kicks and pens, and is in just as good form really (he just scored mid week). Mahrez will have more room to maneuver and if the score ends 0-0, at least I get the CS. And more BAPS.

I know you are looking more long term than the coming GW, but Bournemouth have conceded the most goals in the league from set pieces. Van Dijk is a beast and I think Bournemouth will struggle to contain him at corners and free kicks this weekend.

Bertrand might pop up with the odd assist over the season, but van Dijk is more likely to pop up with a few goals and that is why I would go for him.

Such unbelievably tempted to spend 24pts on hits this gameweek, this season has been such a frustrating one!

Spent 42pts on loans in UFPL which paid off massively, can lightning strike twice?

Transfers done with a hit taken. Sterling & Martial > Barkley & BB (S&M to BB)

    Gives me

    Myhill
    Kolarov, Bellerin, Dier
    Sanchez, KDB, Payet, Barkley
    Pelle, Vardy, Bony

    (McCarthy, Mahrez, Moreno, Francis)

    Dullard front 8?

Hopefully will get me back in top 20k with right captain choice. 2 weeks of red wasn't fun.

Genuine question. Lots of love for Mane or KDB captain it appears but not much love from what I've seen for Pelle or Bony. Any reasoning behind this? Would have thought the strikers would be a favourable option this week

    1. Dr Dream

Look at Mane's numbers compared to Pelle...and he scores more pts for a goal.....http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/4689/

kdb just seems a tad more reliable than bony.

Pelle is a good option imo. Bony also decent but I just think he's been poor in his City career so wouldn't gamble.

Hmm I've had it on Pelle all week, in a 50/50 call from 2 players off the same team I always tend to back the striker. Genuinely struggling with the armband this week

I've not really moved it off Kdb but it depends on the Sterling and Silva situation. Pelle is my VC.

Didn't look at his best against Bayern or Everton, and Swansea away isn't an easy fixture - we lost there last year.

If you mean as an FPL prospect, then many people prefer Lukaku / Pelle in that price range who have much better fixtures currently.

Yeah all good points. I went Lukaku myself but I still see Arsenal scoring many more goals than Everton. Fixtures are not that bad at all.

I'd have done the same, well, I'm still deliberating about it.

Everton less likely to share goals around too it seems - with Arsenal seems like anyone of Sanchez, Ozil, Giroud, Cazorla could score.

Sanchez and Guroud most likely of those though but yes I agree. I'm thinking gw14 when Leicestershire fixtures turn bad. Good Vardy replacement although people will be rushing to get Aguero back around this time.

"Sadio Mane (7.9) boasts three goals and one assist in four starts, scoring against the likes of Swansea City, Chelsea and Liverpool. During that period, Arsenal’s Sanchez (17) was the only midfielder who managed more attempts (16) than the Senegalese winger, who also ranked second for shots inside the box (11). That impressive shot frequency looks set to continue, considering that no team conceded more big chances (22) than visitors Bournemouth in the last four Gameweeks."

I unfortunately don't own Mane, but I'd consider him as an option for captain this week.
There are so many players hitting form right now that I'm keeping my front 8 the same for now.

Nice punt. I have Pelle too so I'm leaving Mane alone.

          Happy with:

Ozil Sanchez De Bruyne (C) Payet

      Front 8:

Sanchez KDB Mane Mahrez (Walcott inj)
      Bony Ighalo Lukaku

I have 2 west brom defenders, should I transfer walcott for a hit and replace Mahrez for this week and bet on a cleansheet for WBA? Transfer ideas would be Sterling/Tadic
