Having assessed the stand-out Defenders over the last four Gameweeks yesterday evening, we now turn our attentions to the centre of the park. Arsenal, Tottenham and Bournemouth’s playmakers feature in our analysis, whilst we also take a look at some in-form protagonists from Everton, Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle as the search for a Dimitri Payet replacement intensifies.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Wait until GW16 before bringing in Kun?

    Typically he is slow coming back after an international break.
    First 2 games back are against tougher opponents.
    Third game back is away from home and this season he is yet to net on the road.
    GW15 he faces a Stoke side which are on a 3 game streak CURRENTLY.

    Lukaku Kane Vardy looks good for a few more weeks anyway.

    Thoughts?

      Liverpool will start Lovren and he netted h)Saints last season.
      3rd game back is @Stoke. He braced their last season.

    OK So this KDB vs Ozil debate is killing me!

    If had to pick one

    -->Ozil
    + Super form in last 5 matches
    + Great Fixtures
    + 1.5mn cheaper
    + Major Set piece duty except penalties
    - Doesnt shoot
    - Plays for a little less attacking team

    -->KDB
    + Better probability of his chances being converted when Aguero starts
    + More chances for him to finish with Silva on pitch
    + More Shot prone than Ozil
    + More attacking team
    - Mediocre Current Form
    - Mediocre Upcoming Fixtures
    - 1.5mn more expensive
    - Some set pieces maybe be stolen by Silva, I think already Yaya and Kolorov steal some...

    Ozil = (+4) - 2 = 2

    KDB = (+4) - 4 = 0

    So Think I will go ahead with Ozil transfer tonight!

    Please kindly add other rough areas I ignored so I can make a better informed decision!

        I'm benching KDB this GW. Think he is not so hot as he was few weeks ago, while Ozil should bring us some consistency. Would like to see the rest of your team, maybe there are better ways of getting Kun but this move is reasonable.

          I'd have Wilshere ahead of Alli, fitness permitting. And Kane 100% ahead of Rooney. England needs a goalscorer.

    As the charges have been not filed by FA for almost 1 week after Vardy Obscene gesture incidence, he is off the hook right??

    Such a ruckus by English media for nothing

    What's the frontline everyone is trying to have in a couple of weeks when Aguero is fully fit?

    -Ighalo seems way to good value to drop him but less 'essential' than others
    -Vardy in the form of his life but though fixtures
    -Lukaku best fixtures but still remains a bit of a fpl troll
    -Kane also decent fixtures but not great, getting back in his last years form but a high price tag
    -Pelle has some decent fixtures apart from City but only 1 goal in 4 games now
    -Benteke finding the net again with good run of fixtures upcoming

      I'll have Aguero Kane Ighalo after this GW.

          I am currently without.

          I couldn't afford him for the long term setup I am working towards

          Myhill - Butland/4.0
          Kolarov - Moreno - Alderwierld/Dawson - Cathcart - Williams
          Sanchez - KDB - Ozil - Mahrez - 4.3
          Aguero - Kane - Ighalo

            Looks good, I'm probably doing Payet + Pelle --> Ozil + Lukaku this week

            How would you fit Aguero in this front 8?

            Sanchez KDB Ozil Mane Mahrez
            Lukaku Vardy Ighalo

            Thinking about KDB and Vardy to 5.0 and Aguero, considering Arsenal's nice run of fixtures I'd rather keep Sanchez and Ozil

              Yeah, that sounds fine. Is there a way it can be Mane over KDB? Like raising funds from defence?

                Hmm not really
                But City's fixtures aren't that great and Saints have some easy games coming up as well.

      Aguero - Vardy - Kane my planned frontline.

      Currently with Pellè but will do Pellè > Aguero in a gameweek. Not getting Lukaku

        Yeah right. More like Tamworth. I love Vardy - he's extremely fast and works his socks off for the mighty Foxes. But this is his zenith - all slowly downhill from here.

    If you owned

    Myhill (ARS) and Butland (sou)

    And you have 2 Saints Attackers (Pellè + Manè) with 0 Arsenal Attackers. Who would you play? Myhill probably right so you have something to hope for?

      I have both Arsenal and Sot attackers along with Myhill and Butland. I'm going with Butland purely based on form and he has the comparatively easier fixture.

        But if I play Butland, I'll have 2 Saints attackers facing him; doesn't add much to the maximum points I can get.

        In your case I'd probably play Butland but slightly edging towards Myhill here...

          To increase points potential, I think it's better for you to play Myhill.

    So Roy starts Jones, Carrick and Delph, despite only having played 90 mins four times this season between them.

    Stones, Dier and Shelvey meanwhile have played all season and looked good, he should pick on current form not reputation/clubs

        yeah but why not play our strongest line up against top opposition? may as well play your strongest team with a view of building some chemistry ahead of the euros.

      Shelvey really hasn't been THAT good at all. Hugely overrated and shouldn't be anywhere near an England starting team, not yet anyway...

      Barkley, Henderson, Dier, Alli are all better. Probably Delph too.

        fair enough regarding Shelvey, that was just a suggestion of a player that's actually played this season. I'd have hendo or Alli over Carrick/Delph too.

          Completely agree with that. Best starting XI when everyone is fit IMO...

          Hart; Clyne, Smalling, Stones, Shaw; Dier, Henderson, Barkley; Walcott/Sturridge, Kane, Sterling

          4-3-3
