Continuing our series of “Monitor” articles for Members, we turn our attention to Liverpool’s Dirk Kuyt. Following on from last week’s analysis of Jamie O’Hara and Matt Etherington, the idea is to analyse those proven Fantasy talents who have, for one reason or another, failed to produce the goods this time round and, looking at our own ICT Index and the Opta stats, determine whether an upturn may be just around the corner.

Following a stuttering start to the season, the last two weekends have seen Kuyt complete both games for Liverpool. A 2-0 derby win at Everton saw him replace Jordan Henderson on the wing in a 4-4-2, then, perhaps significantly, the return of Steven Gerrard against Man United afforded Kuyt a chance wide right up top, with Andy Carroll remaining on the bench for the entire match.

It remains to be seen just how much of a role he’ll have as the season unfolds but, given his 13 goals and 8 assists last time round, Kuyt can clearly produce, particularly if he gets the nod ahead of Carroll and is given a chance to produce alongside Suarez. Here’s how his season has fared so far:

Will Ward play as a striker if Ebanks-Blake doesn't start?

Any recommendations for a cheap defender. Have Simpson and Gabbidon on the bench, will keep Simpson for a few more weeks (worried Santon will take his place). But Getting rid of Gabbidon. So I have only 4.1 to spend - I'm thinking Wilkinson, Boyata or more than likely Neil Taylor. Is it worth wasting a transfer on this?

What does people think of this one - Norwich 2-0 victory against Liverpool at 50/1 on SkyBet?? http://bit.ly/pzIx9K

I can imagine an early goal to Norwich could make it a decent option especially at 50/1, or am I living in dream world?!

Cheers all.Well, the thing is with Sturridge I can get a 5.0 defender max.Whereas with AJ,I can get a defender upto 6.7 but since I already have Lescott as my heavy priced DF,I think Enrique or ShawX are the best options.I don't want to double up on City with Kompany since I'm switching Lescott to Kompany with the WC in GW 12 anyway.

Good team. Maybe to many Manchester based players as it's hard to know who will score high points for either team this week. But it would be maybe to short term transferring any of these Manchester based players out as they have decent fixtures after the derby. Danny Murphy is rated 50/50 so if you are sticking with him make sure you are happy with how your bench is set up for a replacement.

Play acting yes, but the letter of the law states you cant raise your hand to an opponent. I don't know I think it was over exageratted but I still think Dembele should have been dismissed.

It is not any different. I think the player should get punished also. If he didnt fall though would Dembele have been sent off? I feel the red card was just but the player shouldnt have milked it.

For me, it's tough to see that what Dembélé did warranted red. Yes, he raised his hands, but barely to shoulder level let alone face height. If that's a red then every time there's a slight melee / push&shove there should be plenty of reds. Poor decision. A yellow for Dembélé, but not red (although if he doesn't raise his hands in the first place then it prevents the situation).

The real gripe is with that cheat Núñez. Ban him and teach the fellow cheats a lesson...

In a moment of madnes i just took a 4 point hit and did

Dzeko, Rooney + Barton > Saurez, Adebayor, VDV

Will i regret it? How am i gonna get Rooney back in a few weeks.

I still have Van Persie up front and a little cash in the bank so i can always get Rooney back that way i guess. Was a bit top heavy anyway with both so feels like i have a better spread no.

Doesn't make sense to me in terms of risk vs reward. Decent chance he'll get a few more points than nani in the next 3 gw's, don't think the dif will be massive. Negatives are you'll use 2 of your next 4 freebies on it and Kuyt could be benched at any point, KK likes his midfield to be fluid & change formation throughout a match and Hendo gives width when needed or can play narrow to make three in the centre.

Hi guys - my team is:
        Vorm
        RJ, Enrique, Raylor, Bosingwa
        Petrov, Silva, Arteta,
        Rooney, RVP(v), Suarez(c)
        Subs,Moses, Dyer, Brown, Kenny.
I am thinking of saving my transfer as my team feels strong - I need to change Kenny, but Vorm has two good games, so I might hold off. I was thinking of changing Arteta to Ramsey, but might give him one more week. Any advise/comments on captain/vice and order or team/subs? Thanks

        Kompany Simpson Bosingwa

        VDV Silva M. Petrov Arteta

        Rooney Bendtner Saurez (c)

Feeling quite optimistic this week for a change 🙂 Need to get Simpson / Arteta out i think as Simpson is now a rotation risk, and Arteta is playing deeper than id like, but otherwise i'm feeling good! How we all feeling for this GW? Captains?

Zamora as captain? He's averaged a staggering 8.75 points per home game this season, and is up against an Everton team that's not been great on their travels. Madness or Genius? I can tell from the poll, it's gonna be a good differential if it comes off.

He's a good enough differential as it is, no point risking a (c) on him. Just play it sensible... this site breeds recklessness.

Is it a risk tho?! Other than Van Persie, who I don't have, I don't see a banker for (c) this weekend.

        What is a better option:

        1. Mata -> Gerrard for free

        2. Best & Arteta -> Suarez & Gutierez for -4

        3. Best & Rooney -> Suarez & Ade for -4

People of FFS land! A quick teaser for you. Nothing as mad as pick my captain or which one of these crazy punts should I take this week.

Simply, out of these three, which one should I play and which two should I bench? My other 10 players are sorted, but that 11th man spot is up for grabs. Currently edging towards playing Bosingwa.

        The three lucky lads are

        Bosingwa
        Dyer
and the two point wonder from Wigan, Victor Moses.

        Vote now!

biggest no brainer of the day. Play Bosingwa. All three of those are away, but bosingwa plays for a top, top side and is always a threat at goal. Dyer is away, but second choice.

As you say with Moselliorov-Blake he will get you 2pts...that is guarenteed.
