It’s time to turn up the heat on Granville. After Harry Kane obliged with a 26-point armband return, I’ve clawed back the gap on my mancunian rival, who now sits just three points ahead in our “very personal” battle.

With the flame lit on our age-old duel, the ScoutCast is revived to resemble the days gone by, with Granville wriggling uncomfortably as we spar throughout. Jonty is on hand to mediate, taking a few blows of his own, with Granville lashing out blindly.

Around the melee, we take in another round of “rough with the smooth” and digest a slew of community questions. We chat Aguero Vs Kane, consider the merits of showing Sanchez and De Bruyne the door, and scribe our Christmas Fantasy Football wishlist.

This episode was first aired via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. You can view the unedited Google Hangout in the larger player below, or treat yourself to the buffed-up audio version via this link or the smaller player.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Considering Everton have scored 10 goals against Villa and Sunderland (relegation sides), I'm captaining Lukaku. Bournemouth are right down there too (although they have been unlucky).

I do think there are many goals in this one.

Maybe not but with Bournemouths attacking output it only takes a few things to go their way to put up a number of goals... Really contemplating taking a -4 for Ritchie

Taling of "season keepers" who've people still got left from their gameweek 1 teams and how long do you think they'll last?

    I'll start off with:
    Myhill - Until Foster returns
Hennessey - Until my 2nd WC
    Kolarov - 3/4 weeks as Clichy's lurking.

My gut is playing tricks on my brain. The case for captaining Vardy would be:

    1) It's a factoid that Leicester has not been put to the test this season. They have played both Arsenal and Soton. Vardy got 12 and 13 points respectively in those games.

    2) Form is good. Form and motivation is gold. Vardy has a record to break. That means he will run his legs off for a full 90 minutes even if Leicester is down 3-0.

    3) 21 points last year

feels weird having two LEI attackers playing at OT and still feeling confident they can get the points. And I'm a United fan. United need a good kick up the backside. Having said that they will probably take the soul out of the game from minute one and hope for a 1-0.

it depends on how well you interpret stats, which data you value over other data. There's ample data available to make an informed decision. Simon March won FPL last year by simply analysing data over watching games.

There should be a balance between watching games and analysing data.

If you fancy him wait till after the Everton game. Also, as my post above alludes to, Newcastle will be

I might just ask Ben Torvaney from anayltics FC who he's captaining every week. He's got 178 points from captains after doubling without ever captaining Aguero. He's only had 3 captaincy fails and the last one was in gw6 😮

RMT is telling me KDB followed by Ozil.
Haven't seen any of those being touted for the Armband on here..

Mason has been around for donkeys. They have just loaned him out and loaned him out and loaned him out. They haven't really had a lot to do with his development and would have sold him for pennies, but he just matured from nowhere whilst at Swindon who play some lovely stuff and we definitely a team that you can express yourself in.

i know the love for lukaku, but who is really a better option?? lukaku or giroud??

both on form, same price, great coming fixtures. im slightly leaning towards giroud because arsenal is a more attaking side. thoughts please?

Arsenal's points will spread around far more than evertons. Lukaku much more of a focal point than les donkey.

Both viable options but just favour Luk with Everton showing signs of greatness lately.

I think the Kone Lukaku partnership is blossoming and is quite overlooked on these boards'

They have an incredible strength and depth to their squad also__Unlike Arse.

If you are going to keep only ONE of Vardy or Maherz for the rest of the season, who would it be and why?

Personally I fancy Mahrez as the creative force with goals and assists in his locker. Plus pens. Vardy's run can't and won't last. But will he hit a brick wall or is he on for 25 goals this season?

id keep mahrez because of the lack of good mid options at his price but not the case in strikers

Agree with this. And pens, once the streak is over.

I've been pondering this as well. I would say Mahrez but more because he has pens and you have 5 midfield slots and just 3 forwards. Would be interested to see what others think though..

Ideally, Stanislas gets a solid run in the team and can replace Mahrez occasionally for the really difficult fixtures in the long run

a guy in my ML has captained Couitnho almost everyweek (10 times, captain all big scores from Coutinho), included Coutinho -4 (Red card), he sold Aguero before the game he scored 5.

Guess how many captains points he got so far?

Here it is. Good to go?

    DDG
    Bellerin, Kolarov, Dawson
    Sanchez, KDB, Ozil, Mahrez
    Aguero, Vardy, Ighalo

    McCarthy, Nyom, Surman, Francis

    Haven't decided (C).

Kane, aguero, lukaku appears to be the dream. Vardy / igahlo so hard to argue with though. Any 3 from those 5 is a solid attack.

Hopefully it's a minor one. Foot injury, seems unrelated, just hope he isn't now losing his confidence as well with each setback.

Yea we can hope. Really would like him playing for us again.

Could just be that they're taking extra care with him after he complained.
