The EA Sports Player Performance Index scores are now available, with the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points now added to the game. Once again, there are a few rather surprising benefactors. Here’s how they breakdown…

        qpr are playing pretty badly though. 9 man chelsea were all over them. I don't want VDV to be that guy I didn't invest in and regret it.
        I need to either do a straight swap to get SWP/dyer out, or take an 8 points and invest bigtime

          Silly comparison, Notidaho.

          QPR could and should have beaten Newcastle, who held Spurs 2-2 and equalized against Villa after going down to 10 men. By your logic that makes Villa rubbish then?

          Plus they scored and looked arguably the better team when it was 11 v 11 against Chelsea. The sendings off came as a result of Chelsea panicking under QPR pressure.

          When Chelsea went down to 9 men we went into defensive mode and Warnock sacrificed Taarabt for Smith who does more defensively than Adel.

          You could argue that we should have pressed forward against 9 men but this was a local derby against a title contender and Champions League team and we had not won at home yet all season. We adopted the attitude that what we have we will hold.

          Luke Young, Barton and Helgusson all had chances to add to the lead in the 2nd half too, which people conveniently forget.

          Lots of people rushing to bring in Spurs players this week may want to read the posts all last week from people rushing to bring in Chelsea players and counting their 'Chelsea players' points on Friday night.

            But those were all home games where you've been particularily strong this season, away you've been less so.

            While it would be foolish to say 'QPR against Spurs at home, they'll get destroyed' I think there's a decent chance, considering QPR's away form and Spurs home form, that they will outplay and score QPR.

            As a fantasy football manager that's all you're trying to do - increase the chances of scoring high.

              We have 2 away wins this season so arguably our better results have come away from home. Chelsea came into this game scoring for fun and yet were shut out.

              Look, I'm not saying that Spurs won't win, but nothing is a gimme. This weekend would make me a bit wary of wading in with transfers for players who have good games on paper.

      the players you own/ have own have increased in NET price 2.8 since you've owned them. You can probably sell them all for about 101 as you only get half the profit when you sell but incur the full price drop if they fall *breathes*

        Weren't his stats 4 shots 3 on target 2 goals? With 1 or 2 key passes? Stuff like that is rewarded heavily under the new system.

        It may fall down to Balo having shots off target and his yellow card keeping him out.

      Gameweek 12 he'll be replacing Suarez for me. While he's not as good as he thinks he is also not as bad as most on here believe. He'll be a consistant goal scorer and central to Sunderlands position in the table this season.

      If you have RVP I'd probably say Walters. He's nailed on and on pens. Ramsey will be a rotation risk as soon as the CL is under way next week. (If it's important for you to know, I have got Ramsey and not Walters in my team)

    Rooney - Can we all look at this objectively and without Man U or England hats on please. Recently he's been off form. There can be no denying his start to the season, it was outstanding. However if we think back to about a year ago didnt rooney go a few months without a Premier League goal? You cant doubt his talents, I have him pencilled in my WC team but I want to see more from him in the next couple of weeks. Away to Everton and then some tasty fixtures, I need convincing he'll be a good pick for the WC. DOes anyone else share these thoughts or are most blinded by his two hattricks early in the season and him being English?

      i shipped him out when he got that injury and don't regret it. everton is a good game to observe how the team reacts. after that i may invest with their run of games.

      presently i'm considering dropping nani for vdv cos he's been off too

        Good move imo. After the sending off I thought something was up, not too bothered as most teams above me have rooney captained. I'll be watching him closely in the Everton game.

        Vdv willl rocket in value so nows the time to get him imo. I dont know about Nani he could come good soon as you said uniteds fixtuires do get pretty good pretty soon

        The only problem with the young mexican is that i wouldnt feel comfortable captaining him. great for goals but not a guarenteed starter especially with Welbeck around

          The problem with 'form' is that it's only form until it changes...RvP looked 'out of form' vs. Newcastle and Swansea, only got 1 assist in 3 goals at B'Burn...then scores twice vs. Bolton.
          I think you've just got to pick the best players, play the fixtures and let 'form' look after itself.

        I like the VdV move too, Notidaho, but Marco makes a good point about Nani.

        I am also wary about people bringing in VdV purely for 'this weeks game'. Not saying that's what you will be doing, but see my notes above about last week.

        Lets face it, loads of people thought Chelsea were going to muller QPR and Liverpool would smash Norwich so they bought into Chelsea and Liverpool players lock, stock and barrel. Neither result happened and in Chelsea's case they lost the game, got virtually everyone booked and no one on their team scored more than 2 fantasy points.

        What worries me about Nani to VdV is that the same thing could happen to Spurs (who are prohibitive favourites) and Nani meanwhile goes medieval on Everton.

        You never know whats going to happen, which, as we were in some cases painfully reminded this weekend, is the reason why they play the games.

        VdV is due to rise tonight so and realistically he is the only one I can get rid of to go to VdV. Decisions decisions!

          If you Double up on Mancity Def then richards is a great option however, having had him until last GW I would say "buyer beware" he is often dropped just when you need him the most. the reliability of Kompany and Hart are preferable - Aguero & Silva are what ManC goals are for.

    Saved by VDV (in for SWP at last moment) and Cabaye this week.

    Don't know what to think about Luis Suarez at the moment. Far too profligate in front of goal - Steven Fletcher has a higher goals per shot ratio - and Liverpool looking stagnant. He's defo off my captain list for a while that's for sure.

    Hey guys, thinking about Nani to VdV, like many on this site but due to my team structure, I would know how to get in any United players in time for the Sunderland game and beyond. I do have Adebayor as Spurs What are most people thinking in regards to getting in VdV against not having any United players:

      It's primarily because Dalgish had a good start as manager while Hodgson struggled along. I think most Liverpool fans this season would consider the start poor and Carroll a waste of money, but even with the poor start they're still in 6th place and not plummeting down the table which is all important.

      All results are relative to the situation in which they're acquired after all.

    Afternoon All,

    Two horror weeks for me , saved my transfer last week, so I have two free. For the first time ever I dont have a clue where to go, feeling like making some major changes. However, on the face of it I think my teams not that bad, just need to get ferguson sorted out at some point and also DeLaet. I have 0.9 in the bank and would really like some advice on what to do. Would like VDV but am thinking my teams too generic and am considering maybe taking a a punt elsewhere. Basicaly, open to any sugesstions. Thanks.

      Youre in the same boat as me in a way, hard to shuffle effectively. Remember tho that VDV waont get 10 points every week. Maybe try and oust Nani/Ferguson/DeLaet to get VDV in. Don't have non playing subs. I have DeLaet, but luvkily havent neded him yet!!!
