With a favourable run of fixtures and five wins from six games, Tottenham look likely to receive some strong Fantasy investment over the upcoming weeks. In particular, two players stand head and shoulders above the rest- Rafael Van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Van der Vaart is, arguably, the form Fantasy Premier League (FPL) player right now. The Dutchman has scored in each of his last four games, netting five times in total and returned 11 bonus points in that previous quartet of fixtures, making him top-scoring player for bonus so far this season. Adebayor’s arrival on loan from Man City has proved a shrewd piece of business by Harry Redknapp and, after six games, has 3 goals, 4 assists and 6 bonus points to his name already.

In this latest Members article, we delve into our own ICT Index and Opta stats to analyse the pair’s performances for the season so far to aid those weighing up the cost and benefits of acquiring their talent ahead of Gameweek 10…

Bos or Ward to Shawcross worth a 4 point hit?

    Vorm
    Kompany,Simpson,Bos,
    VDV,Silva,Petrov,Moses
    RVP,Suarez,Sturridge

    Ruddy,Dyer,Ward,Gabbidon

Team atm.....want rid of Bos/Ward...but def changes arent worth a hit are they?!

One change - Mata to VDV early on.
I have not been able to think things through due to work much this year...but its half term! So one early change and I dont see Bos or Ward keeping CS, and hate to say it but I can see a cleanie for Stoke on Monday

Sure you don't want Aguero? In my opinion, Bosingwa CS is more of a chance than RvP scoring.

Hi guys, I have a bit of a dilemma this week.

Who do you think I should choose out of the following (can only have two)?

    1) Bosingwa
    2) Martin Petrov
    3) Ramsey
    4) Johnson (Norwich Midfielder)

I already have Van Persie, Ramsay, Sinclair and Vorm and worried about having too many players from one match. However, Ramsey is in great form against a leaky Chelsea defence. Bosingwa could also get assists though as well as a slight chance of a clean sheet. Petrov has been poor last couple of weeks but Bolton do need the win.

Thanks guys. I have Bos and Ramsey at the moment. I am a Chelsea fan but think it will be a high scoring game at Stamford Bridge tommorow.

I also have Silva in my team but have Martin Petrov as first sub just in case Silva is rested.

He'll certainly get some more game time, he's been doing well in the reserves from what I've noticed. Guthrie was alright against Blackburn too, but I am worried about the African Nations, we're already losing Tiote and Ba, now we're on about signing Miaga so we can lose him as well.

I think Aguero will start, there's no question about that. I don't get all the rest and risk talks really. He's been rested on midweek, played only 70 last weekend, so should be making it from the off on Sat. All the fuss about him being possibly rested gone too far over the top I reckon. It's the same we hear week in, week out. I don't have Aguero myself, just wanted to point out that he's nailed on to start tomorrow, and mark my words.

      Agreed

More chance of Silva rested but dont think so, City will want to press home theie advantage over ManU, and have lots of time till the Villareal game.
I think the game vs QPR three days after Villareal will more more rotation prone.

Mancini will prob field his strongest side with United and Chelsea epxected to be held early on in the day. He will try and make sure he's going to Spaing fully focused with at least 7 pts gap in the league. And no chance Silva will be rested for me. Cheers!

The only reason he was the first to be subbed is that Drogba is, technically speaking, a more complete forward so he was left on instead of Sturridge. There's little worry in him being not played but possibly if there's a red card a week for Chelsea he could be first sub.

    Kompany, Simpson, Bosingwa (Ward, Gabbidon)

    Silva, Petrov, VDV, Dyer (Moses)

I'd be more inclined to swap Gabbidon to Wilkinson. But would get rid of Ward in the coming weeks.
I'd give Boswinga another chance and if you like downgrade him in the coming weeks.
I'm bloody sick got in Boyata as my bargain defender last weak, now he is out.

Very good team mate I wouldd be happy with that....personally I think Bosingwa>>>Shawcross is a very good move. Stoke have decent fixtures and since the opening game of the season the cs's have dried up!

I did the exact same move 🙂

Wilkinson is a decent punt but I rather the stability that shawx brings to the FF table 🙂

MF little weak but no surprise with RVP & Rooney upfront. Bosingwa -> Shawcross & use the cash to upgrade one of your MF's next week.

Play Bosingwa and Dyer and save transfer. If you want VDV instead of Mata then possibly downgrade Enrique to Stoke defender to fund it but bare in mind Liverpool at home to Swans next week.

    Hey guys. Here's my team,

    Vorm (Given)
    Enrique - R Taylor - Smalling - Bosingwa - Ward
    Silva - VDV - Mata - Brunt - Dyer
    Van P - Adebayor - Agbonlahor

    0.5 mil in the bank.

Wanna get Richards/Walters in but dunno how to work it...wanna ditch Ward too. Worth taking a 4 point hit this week???
And should I start Dyer v Bolton at home or Brunt v Liverpool??

    Cheers boys

Decent team but your defence could be revamped though.

Agree you should move Ward out ASAP. Wilkinson or Brown would be better options and I'd be more inclined to get in Wilkinson as he is 0.5 cheaper.
I'm not sure if Smalling will start each week so you're taking a risk there. At 5.4million there is better options in & around that price range - Walker (5.5), Assou-Ekotto (5) or Shawcross (5.1).
I wouldn't say it's a priory this week or even next but Boswinga could be downgraded, then that would free up some money for your midfield.

I'd start Dyer over Brunt, with Brunt been your first choice sub

Any thoughts on a Ruddy/Vorm rotation? I appreciate they are both budget but I'm desperate to save £0.9m and I currently have both Given and Warnock. Want to stop doubling on the AV defence and this way I can do both my objectives in one move. Both play for pretty bad teams though...

i tend to back my thoughts on these sites & think to hell with the shit i'll get if i'm wrong. That said i think Wolves will run City close tomoro.

Mick will expect a reaction after the 1st 80 mins v Swansea. Not saying they'll come away with anything, just not totally convinced it'll be a cricket score.

Good team, would look to transfer Ward out. Wolves will leak goals in the coming weeks. Wilkinson best bet at the moment and you would save 0.6 million.
