are the risks of playing aoa this week actually high? I do t see any of ozil, mahrez, kdb, Ramsey, arny, kaku, Kane or ighalo being rotated. Worth playing the aoa? Or else who would you bench? First time having a good 5th mid and it's too hard to pick.

  Hmm. That is a nice team. Personally I wouldn't bother with Wally I think you have enough Arsenal cover. Ozill seems to be the Arsenal captain of choice as he seems assured of points.
  
  If you really fancy the punt you could go all out on the Arsenal midfield with KDB to Wally but I wouldn't recommend it.

        I would be playing Bellerin this week for sure.
        
        I do like Hennessey he is a lot of goalkeeper for the money. I seem to be playing him most weeks but Butland is a good option as well.
        
        How much money do you need to free up in order to do the desired Rambo>Walcot transfer?

        I can't justify it in any way. You could downgrade Evans as I don't think the West Brom defence is that great but the Palace/Watford defenders leave you just short by my calculation and they are the cheap ones I would consider.
        
        I wouldn't touch your midfield and front line this week. You would need tpo downgrade Kane or Kun imo with Vardy or Ighalo both freeing up cash. I suspect you will not want to do this.
        
        So I would forget Wallcott, I don't think he is worth it.

  I'd take vardy out for Kane. I think Kane will score from now until the end of the season than Vardy. Once Ighalo goes through 2 games without scoring, switch him for Aguero.

Thinking of doing DDG ------> Rudd (3.9) as an Aguero enabler

This would leave me with a 7.8 GK combo that both play! Will play Hen most weeks and occasionally Rud

  I'd switch DDG to Myhill if you're in need of cash. I'd then downgrade in one other area such as KDB to Silva to facilitate your Aguero move.

      As a united fan, I'd advise against it. LVG is under pressure and will look to play more attacking football rather than the possession philosophy. I doubt we'll see many clean sheets from united in the short term.
      
      I think you should jump in for a man city defender. Best bet would be someone like Sagna.

        Chelsea match showed a very different united team. I think LVG will realise that the fans need attacking football in the way they are used to otherwise he'll lose them and ultimately his job.
        
        Kompany is out for a month but City, and especially mangala/otamendi, will take great confidence in the fact that they kept a clean sheet without Kompany against a team that has been lethal in front of goal.
        
        Lots of positives for City's defence there.

  I had that exact same midfield. I removed Barkley for Arnie. Since I already had lukaku, I just wanted to spread my options. I like how hughes uses arnie as well so even if it's bandwagony, you're still choosing him based on logic. Barkley is also a hit or miss type of player as well.

Has anyone had a worse run of captaincy picks than this in the last 9 weeks?
4-2-26-2-2-4-12-4-4

Amazingly, despite that abject record of almost complete failure, I've only drifted out from 20k to 53k and back up to 39k in that time. If I could have nailed the captaincy just a little more often (and actually hit "confirm" after putting the armband on Mahrez the week he scored 15) I probably could have made it into the top 10k by now. 🙁

        My aim is always OR. That's probably one of the reasons I've been looking for a zing and keep landing on a zang. I thought I couldn't get ahead if I did the template moves, but in all but one instance it has backfired badly and I would have been far better off just picking the top player in the captain's poll.

      Ozil won't be rested, he's literally irreplaceable in that team right now. Wenger mentioned rotation for the weekend so that'll be Koscielny and Monreal starting in place of Gibbs and Mertesacker. Chambers will likely drop out if Flamini is fit and there's a chance Campbell comes in for Ox.
      They're top of the league, no messing about so Ozil gets his rest in the FA Cup the following weekend.

      GW 11 I was 77k despite those cap scores i dropped in ranking only the last two have i got up to inside the top 100k. Was 46k at Gw 8 so its taken me 10-11 to get back to that rank. Tough crowd this season the points are so close im playing safe and consolidating until the dwgs arrive

  I've actually been quite fortunate with my captain picks over the last few weeks, keeping it on Lukaku 4 out of 5 weeks (Kane being my other pick last gameweek) so scored 16, 18, 12, 26, 26.
  
  Don't try and be too clever, pick sensibly based on form and fixtures - I'm tempted by Walcott this week but feel like owning him is differential enough so will go with Lukaku again as it should be an open game with Spurs and he's in good form

    Cheers Boss. I have been picking on form and fixtures I think - just not the template picks. Kane, for example, had been on a great little run ahead of his blanks and few other had him at that time so I naturally thought let's put the armband on him for good fixtures... Of course he takes that moment to drop off in form for a few weeks. By the time that becomes clear I've wasted two captaincies. 🙁

  After this week's Ramsey captain fail, I have resolved to just go with the concensus pick. It might not be the most exciting strategy, but it will win in the long run. I'll take fewer hits, and my team has 15 usable players, I have a decent team value, 2 free transfers, and have all my chips. Those are my differentials over the current top 10k (a club that I just left).
  You will out analyze, out-plan and out manage most of those currently ahead of you. No need to roll the dice with the captain.

  For one week only, my tickers suggest you load up on Arsenal and Tottenham attacking assets and look at Man City, Swansea and Palace for defenders. Building a team for one week isn't the best use of a wildcard though if you're looking for a good overall rank or to win a mini-league.
