Didn't VDV get an assist today as well? I thought he did. I'm probably wrong though.

not really, wouldn't have Rooney at the moment, is out of form and playing alot deeper to help the midfield. Also Graham isn't the best bet, in form but against tough opponents he will struggle so is a waste of a valuable striker position, unless you plan on only playing 2 up front. A swansea and Norwich keeper may also not be the best long term option, likewise with potential rotation risk Jones but he should still be in the team for a few more weeks yet so is safe for now.

Apart from that it is a reasonably well rounded side with a great midfield.

Looks like I'll take a punt and do Young -> Drenthe. My only concern is whether Drenthe will be guaranteed starts every match, as as you can see, my midfield would be rather weak: VDV, Silva, Drenthe, Moses, Dyer.

I know the chorus has been sung every week that Silva and Aguero 'may be rested' for league games when playing a champ league game or coming up to one, but every time this has not been the case, they have played.

Just for the sake of reassurance, they will play against QPR won't they? I know the answer is more than likely yes and more or less answering my own question here, more often than not there will always be rotation by mancini, but surely his two big guns are going to play regardless? Just wanted to get some other people views on this ever present topic and bring this doubt to a near enough end.

    Thoughts welcome 🙂

Cheers lads, i don't have both Silva & Aguero, just ive finally got Silva in (yes it only took me 10 gameweeks ha) and would hate for it to be his hazy period of being subbed/not earning enough minutes etc, but i dont think that will ever happen, the guy is genius, and well on his way to be player of the season imo, he's just a different class altogether & he'll definitely play.

i like to look at him as the 'father' of the team in a way, as in relation to if he gets subbed off depending on the scoreline, i feel like if his lads aren't winning or doing well, he'll stay on the pitch until the job is done, THEN get subbed (theoretically from mancini's point of view), even if that means staying on for the full 90 mins.

Yeah i'm glad i've got him in, no doubts what so ever really, case closed? 🙂

In a bit of a dilemma for this coming week. The front half of my team looks OK (although 10 of my 15 players are away!) but Kompany's sending off leave my back looking shakey. Don't really want to sell him, so what would you do with this lot:

Bosingwa-Wilkinson-N.Taylor-Simpson-Kompany (Vorm and Krul are my keepers)

Long-term Simpson's fixtures are crap, but he's got arguably the best fixture this week!

I'm considering; once he gets his shots in order, I think he will score against anyone. My biggest concern is sturridge to be honest; thought would keep him all season, but if he doesn't keep up his goals/min ratio, it doesn't look like he'll get the proper minutes to make it worthwhile. Thinkin of doing sturdier to bendtner and terrace to lamps for gw12, but that will leave me with no Manu coverage other than the potential for cleverly and perhaps a defender, but certainly no captain options. Hmmm.

I have been planning on playing my wild card after this weekend during the international break but have been faced with the problem that my team is quite reasonable and I probably don't need to play it. I would like to change a few of my cheaper players but am otherwise satisfied with my big hitters, what do I do?

So both my keepers have tough fixtures this week. Vorm (liv) and Kenny (MCI).

Do i play Vorm (arguably weaker opposition but Swans terrible away from home) or Kenny (at home plus should get loads of save points but against City)? City could easily put 6 or 7 in rendering Kenny's save points useless.

Looking at your team I would say that he is not a concern at the moment. You have two other bench midfields, Dyer who is going to be a pretty regular 2 points-per-game player, and Ferguson who is a consistent 0 points per game. You also have a D that gets zero play time at the moment. Petrov has a shot at points in most games, so I wouldn't stress on him. I would upgrade Dyer or Ferguson(preferably) to a player that isn't bench fodder.

What I would do is downgrade bosingwa and upgrade Ferguson to a 6.0-6.5 player... Walters, Sess, Ramsey... ect.

Hi all. In my first season of playing fantasy football so I'm struggling at times. It has consumed my life I must say haha. Presently I'm torn as to whether to play my WC during the international break or save it for later.

Here's my team as it stands:

    Vorm Al-Habsi
    Enrique Ward Bos Naylor Raylor
    Silva VDV Nani Eagles Moses
    RVP Adebayor Sturridge

With WC I'd probably make 9 or 10 changes. If I decide to play it then I'm looking at Adebayor -> Suarez this week for the next 1 or 2 weeks, if not then I'd go for a more long-term solution (e.g. Cleverley, Jones, Ramsey, Sess, Drenthe, Walters, Wilko). So basically with my team is it worth playing it, which transfers really need to be made and when would be the best time play the WC if not during the international break? Cheers.

I think it would be absurd to WC that team. Get Ward out of there

Cheers for the reply. Yeah he's been on the list of transfers out for quite some time. When do you reckon is a good time to play the WC? Just when you have a load of injuries/suspensions or on double GWs?

I would say at a point where your team is just plain falling behind in terms of fixtures ahead, injuries, double game weeks later in season. Your call ultimately but it would be a waste now

I have played for 3 or 4 seasons and already used my WC but i woldnt' recommend you using urs

take a look at ur team>>>anyone who doesn't play regular or has an injury needs to be subbed out

      i dont see 9 or 10 changes

RVP, ADE, Strurridge, Silva, VDV, NANI, ENrique, are all def keepers in my opinion

other players can be slowly transferred out
walters, ramsey, stoke & united coverage are essential

I am in the same boat and in fact allot of managers will be. Your team is solid in my opinion and you have VDV, RVP and Silver who are absolute must haves at the moment so no problems there. I will wait and see till this weekends games before making my final decision but for now I wouldn't WC. Give Ade and Sturridge one more chance if they fail WC them out with some of the others

9 or 10 changes from that team?? They would surely be "luxury" to your needs. Tinkerings. No need to use the WC. You have a good distribution of money and a very strong attacking core. Some of the cheaper players may not be the optimal ones, but that's no reason to wildcard

Ok thanks for the advice guys, I'll hold onto it; very glad I asked! Yeah most of the changes would've been fairly minor in terms of points differences thinking about it. I'm not far behind in my mini-leagues (RVP you beauty) so you're right that it's not essential. In that case I'm thinking of saving my FT this week so I have 2 for the international break, good plan? Bos and Ward definitely need shipping out but they have good fixtures this week.

Guys, a few months ago someone posted a video on here of 15 solid minutes of pure footballing fails. I have since not been able to find the said video, but would love to be able to watch it again, it had me crying with laughter.

If anyone knows of this video and could provide a link or let me know how to find it I would be greatly indebted.

Team link below, only have the 1 freebie and my defence is a mess this week, Kompany suspended and 3 others having shocking away games. Thinking maybe Kompany > Jones?

He guys. Out of Town all of this past weekend:

How did Nani and Sturridge look?

Bad. Sturridge especially. Nani didn't do a ton in his cameo but United were playing very conservatively, putting an emphasis on not conceding so he didn't have a lot to do.

Was Sturridge so bad that he should be considered to be dropped altogether? I sitll think he's Chelsea's best actual goalscorer.

Also, sounds like Van Persie could have had 6.

I think it was just a bad day, I wouldn't drop him out of hand. But he was very wasteful.
