Ditch. For 5.5/6 mill, he is becoming poor value in your team. Have you tried picking just one exp defender that goes with form and fixtures? I currently have Enrique. However, his spell comes to an end next gwk and then I'll be looking for another caviar defender. 😕

Chelsea will not be keeping clean sheets any time soon in my opinion. Maybe against Wolves...

I know a left back who plays for the leagues top team and has attacking threat in abundance (even score at the weekend)...........

Second XI - a whole team I'd select if it wasn't for rotation

    Lindegaard
    Kolarov Luiz Vidic
    A Johnson Nasri Meireles Cleverley
    Balotelli Hernandez Welbeck

Im starting to think he may be more nailed on than you think. He was injured for the first part of the season and Welbeck was in great form. Now things have changed, Welbeck is out of form and Hernandez is no longer injured. I think a Hernandez and Rooney partnership is beckoning

Rooney is destined to be a mid-fielder owing to the lack of quality mid-fielders in the team.

They were firing so well a few short GWs ago. Mid was rampant, beat Chelsea's, goals aplenty. I think it's more to do with losing Cleverley and Young, and Nani going off form. That would stop any team.

I gathered it was a pretty traumatic week for a lot of people, me included, got a season low score, had Kompany, Bos and a triple 2pointer on my frontline, falling from 500k to 700k. But I guess yes at least I have lots of up arrows to look forward to... well, we better!

Yes I guess it must have been a disapointing week for some particularly if you didn't have VDV/RVP/Mata.

I thought most had transferred VDV in and kept hold of RVP. Obviously didn't happen. 🙁

I joined that club too this week- thought I'd had a bit of a stinker (Bos and Kompany are doing their best to bring me round to your way of thinking!) but somehow I climbed from 100,799 to 68,553 this week on a score of 46, with Wilkinson/bonus still to come.

Leeds fans starting to dominate-that's what I like to see, Jonny! Pity we couldn't beat Cardiff.

I made a schoolboy human technical error last week: I forgot to press the "confirm" button and ended up with Silva streak as cap'n. Cost me 9 points it seems.

Defenders: not many cs again such that it is becoming a lottery. I'm getting rid of Enrique in week 12: need another exp defender to fit the bill. Options?

You could take your ubercheap theory to the next level and get Tony Hibbert in! Or splash out on Jagielka- Everton have great home fixtures coming up. Or you could get BAE in, also reasonable fixtures. Stoke is another option of course, and they have the bonus of actually keeping clean sheets! Or Kompany will be back by then if you want to stretch your budget a bit more.

Yeah, shame we couldn't get a win at the weekend. By all accounts their keeper was a bit of a hero.

That ain't too bad then- onyl cost you a couple of points pre-bonus.

Hibbert isn't great, but Everton have some decent fixtures against goal-shy teams. He also seems to be quite attacking in home fixtures, even if the end result isn't always there he could end up with some assists (disclaimer: his past record isn't exactly amazing in this regard)

Ditch Adebayor seriously. Watched him today hoping he'd save my GW and he was about as switched on as Sturridge. Missed a good chance and this continues his reluctant mood from last GW. Has slipped since good start, typical Ade. I think your move is ok, but obv if you don't have RVP you should get him over Rooney, and Aguero is preferable despite rotation risk.

    Morning Jafa!

I see we're having pretty similar gameweeks (and seasons so far). Will be a battle to the death I'm sure...

    Question for you:

From GW12 onwards, which GK/Def combo would you go for with 10.0m to spend. Swaying towards Vorm and Enrique. Rest of my backline is (turns head in shame):

    Ruddy, XXX
    Simpson, Wilkinson, Woodgate, Brown, XXX

      Mornin' J -dubs!

Ah...yes discussing this with Jonny above. I'm looking at bootin Enrique out in gwk 12 as his fix decline. Thinking the Jones boy - options?

GKs: I'm sticking with Vorm/Kenny. Both rotate perfectly and have decent chance of home cleenies (not this week though )

W'gate is a liability and I just don't like Ruddy. Could XXX be Barnett who seems to be assisting/scoring?

Yeah I'm a bit stumped this week - any obvious moves here ya reckon?

        Given
        Dunne, Simpson, Wilkinson
        Silva, VDV, Sinclair, Ramsey
        RVP, Aguero, Adebayor

        Subs: Ruddy, Moses, Woodgate, Brown
        Bank 0.4m

Don't really want to ditch any of the playing front 7, although Adebayor seems a bit off form. Think my issues are in defence/gk. Given and Dunne after NOR this week have to go - too much money for awful fixtures. Would give me 10.9m for a GK/Def combo, although would ideally like to hold back 0.9m for Aguero -> Rooney in GW13. Any ideas?

You've got no Man U cover for these fixtures, that's the first thing I noticed.

The two I don't like are Ramsay and Dunne. For Ramsay, cheap NOR mids are scoring the same pts and with VIL keeping so few cleenies, Dunne is poor value.

How can you work Nani into your team?

Yeah I need some Man U cover for sure. Saying that, they don't seem on form right now, so I may have to hope they keep fairly quiet until after GW12. Pretty sure I'm not dropping VDV or Silva, and I actually think Ramsey is great value (attacking midfielder behind RVP for a top team with great fixtures). That leaves Sinclair (not opposed to ditching due to next 2 fixtures) and Moses (who is basically dead to me).

To get Nani in for either I'd have to generate circa 3.5m, which could only be done by dropping a striker and taking a hit. Neither of which I'm a fan of.

            Best move this week?

Meant to add, that my current plan is to save the transfer and play Wilkinson (bol) this week. Not the worst fixture and 2 freebies after the internationals could come in handy!

Bear in mind that Utd have just gone: liv, CTY, eve. If they turn on the taps again, the likes of Nani and Rooney will be required. At the back of my mind, I'm worried what will happen if I don't cap'n Rooney this week.

A move for you this week?

              Options:

Dunne for Jones as your exp defender
Sinclair for BJ/Milkman to start freeing up cash.

Probably the first option provided you are satisfied Jones will hold his place with Vidic back.

                I did look at that - unfortunately I'm 0.1m short 🙁

Man U problem I have is that the only ones I'd want are Jones, Rooney and Nani, and the latter 2 require hits and major reshuffles to get in during the next 2 weeks.

Considering Silva/Aguero -> Nani/Rooney in GW13. Dropping Silva willl be very tough though.

                Whatcha reckon?

                  Current 3 week transfer plan:

                  GW11 - no transfer
                  GW12 - Dunne & Given -> Howard & Olsson
                  GW13 - Aguero -> Rooney

                  Decent?

                  Keep Silva!

I like your idea of having two freebies though. This is why I think it is better to have 2 uber mids and 3 exp mids. You can rotate Nani/Mata/Silva/VDV in and out pending fix.

Yeah change Woodgate so that gives you 3 players to change. It might be worth having 1 defender over 5m just to add solidarity. If you go for Ruddy you probably need a keeper that is also at least 5m and you are happy to play nearly every game, Ruddy will get cleanies only on the very rare occasion

To be fair on Woodgate he might actually start playing once again, maybe wait a week and see if he starts, if not ship him out. I imagine you only have 1 free transfer, possibly 2? I would get a Swansea defender though for your other slot, they are fairly solid at home.

Yeah only 1 free transfer this week, and Swansea have liv, MAN for the next 2, so probably not worth getting N Taylor in till after that. Current thinking is to save the transfer and play Wilkinson (bol) this week. Any better moves you reckon?

    To whom it may concern,

I have a dillema. I want to get in RVP this week.
I could ditch Gabby to get RVP but it means i would need to downgrade someone
This someone could be Nani. But seeing as i have 2.1 in the bank i would need to downgrade this someone first.
I calculated the complex mathematics and this new person would have to be 6.9 or less
I was wondering if you could have a look at my team (which is linked) and suggest some possible solutions to my dilemma.
    This would be much appreciated

    Kind Regards,
    SH

Where are we going to get our attacking points in the next 5 GWs?

CHE, MCI and LIV have tough fixtures so not transfer targets. ARS, TOT and MUN have good ones, in that order. We'd also do well to remember class players gave shown form > fixtures though.

ARS: Obviously RVP. Gervinho or Walcott perhaps? Both turned up and I sense the start of a run of form as the team gels and they play beatable opposition.

TOT: Adebayor is fading and unenthusiastic. As shown v QPR goals are coming from elsewhere instead. VDV is a must. Bale with two goals might have put down a marker for a good run. Lennon, possibly.

MUN: Rooney is out of form and there are concerns about playing deep. Surely this is time to gamble on Hernandez picking up the goal baton? The alternatives, Nani, Welbeck, Young are out of form or injured. Expect him to get starts?

Because I have him I've been on his case for4 GWs now. His recent scores are 4, 6, 8, 2, 2, the last two against bla and QPR, two of the weakest defences. Hasn't scored since 16 Sep. If he changes his attitude and turns himself around it's a good run coming up, but this is Adebayor we're talking about, he has attitude problems :/

You forgot Ramsey. He is a must for me behind RVP, he plays just behind the striker and had a great chance of getting assists and goals, for his price he is gold.

Your on the money with Hernandez in my opinion, this lad will be up front for a number of weeks, with Rooney just in behind

Cleverly is also a good shout, might be prudent so see who starts in the CL game but United could be much better with Cleverly in CM

Good spot Ramsey should be there and probably ahead of Gervinho/Walcott. His time has come. I am well impressed with Cleverly but am unsure based on his very limited gametime if he gets enough assists or goals. He may be a dreaded assister of the assister like Modric. I will wait and see but he is very exciting.

Exactly the same here, looking for big differentials. I'd love Ramsey but have VDV, Nani, Silva already. Worth squeezeing him in over M Petrov to make a dream mid? RVP I guess will massively increase ownership if this run goes well bit he's still surprisingly little owned at over 10%, he's still a diff actually!

Thinking of dropping Kompany for Jones for the next few weeks to be honest, I fancy United to keep more cleanies over the next 4-5
Will have to play Wilkinson away to Bolton, after that Kompany has:
NEW liv NOR che ARS (would expect them to keep 2 cleanies)
    Whereas Jones has:
SUN (this week instead of Wilkinson) and then swa NEW avl WOL qpr, could easily keep 4/5/6 cleanies even, especially with Vidic back.
    Thoughts?

He comes on here and lies to you and others about his team, his ranking, how many hits he has taken, whether he's played or benched certain players etc. The guy is full of shit - why he does it I'm not sure, but maybe he'd like to explain to you himself why he blatantly lies about these things. I have just been looking up various player profiles, looked at Gary Cahill for no other reason than to see if his price was controlled by different rules to all the others, and I have a sneaky feeling that the photo they have in there is in fact Tim Cahill.

    Hello guys!

I'm thinking wildcarding after next deadline, but there are some things messing my mind right now - can you fix the problem in my head...?

    Good :
    - I can get rid of given, de laet, petrov, moses, suarez
    - I can get in some stoke, everton, sunderland, tottenham players

Bad or at least something to think of:
    - I'm doing atm quite ok
    - Can't play much that money game, because I have value in Silva, Vdv, Roo, Rvp + I bet there won't be too many double risers
    - I use my wc and then couple weeks after we'll have gamepostponements and everything changes at that moment

If you bothered to read this far maybe one more thought for you to clear my mind 🙂
Is it really wise to swap sinclair to walters/sess/drenthe, man has only two bad gw's and has hoovered point more than I could have asked for!
Same goes for R.taylor, 3 benching weeks and then paradise opens again, I bought him when he was 4.5.

    Cheers!

I would still go with the WC after GW11, can't afford to have Swansea and Newcastle players in your team for the next few gameweeks. I have a similar problem as my team is in ok condition but you just have to take another look at fixtures coming up to change your mind

I don't think I'm qualified to fix the problem in your head, there are very few who can.

I'll try to help with your FPL team though!

-Given can go, poor fixtures means his high price can't really be justified until around GW20
-De Laet can be swapped for another 4m def easily
-Petrov could still score a few point over the next few weeks Sess in particular is looking strong in that price bracket.
-Stoke defensive cover is a must IMO
-Not a huge fan of Everton FPL-wise, not enough goals, although they are good for clean sheets
-Leave Sinclair in if he's doing well

Would help if you linked your team. As a rule of thumb (not sure if everyone one here will agree) I wouldn't use your WC unless there are 5 changes that you really have to make.

        thanks guys

Have to say that I don't have five changes that I MUST do, but there is easily five changes to do that will make my team better!

Maybe I'll just use that wc and lay back and wait for another chance in january - and pray that no suprises come in gw12, so I can save my transfer in gw13.

I'm happy, although I actually dropped 40k after playing wc and my team value only increased by 0.2m in that week.

I was able to get rid of Senderos/Hotlips(remember him?)/nzoggers/Wallycot/Baines/BK/Given/Ruddy. Went for cheap GK combo and brought in Mata/Silva which has now paid dividends.

Big difference of course has been the two "Vlieende Hollanders".

So who thinks Nani will improve from now on FPL-wise? We all knew returns would be tough for the last 3 gameweeks but VDV (and arguably Mata) have stepped forward in his absence and are looking like great players to have. Add one (or both?) of these two to your team along with the inevitable RVP and Silva and is there any rooms for Nani (or even Rooney for that matter)?

I doubt Rooney will play as deep for the whole season but it is certainly a risk and there's always a threat of rotation for Nani, where as the above mentioned seem safe for the moment!

    Thoughts?

Agree with what you are saying. On the flip side, Utd's fixtures improve dramatically from now on, so there will be games when they hammer teams, and Nani is usually involved. Ideal midfiled at the moment imo would be Silva, VDV, Nani, Mata, although that will most likely mean you can't have 3 big guns up top.

I worry about Valencia though, he offers stronger defensive abilities and is still a class act going forward. Nani may go to the left if Young is out of form and Nani isn't as effective there. In saying that Nani may still play on the right and start being awesome again. I would wait and see on the Sunderland game before making a decision

I think MU will defo start trashing teams, but I'd rather have Rooney than Nani, who I've had for a few weeks now and done nothing. Quite disappointing when you consider how well he did last season.

Not sure I understand your post! You've have Nani for a few weeks who has done nothing and you want to shift him in favour of bringing Rooney in up front? Or you'd rather have Rooney over Nani, but are still thinking of shifting Rooney even though you think Utd will start trashin teams?

Do they prioritise awarding bonuses based on wins or individual performances?

I nearly vomited when DVD missed that 'sitter" in the first 2 minutes. He could have scored 3 goals in that first 5 minutes and if Adebawhore was any better the could have had an assist as well.

If it wasn't for Kenny at least 2 others shots from DVD could have sailed into the net. Could have been a monster week of 50 pts.

And the cherry on top was that 2nd in my league has Bale.

        😡
