The EA SPORTS Player Performance Index scores are now available and the Fantasy Premier League Bonus points have now been added to the game. Here’s our breakdown of how they map out for Gameweek ten…

Chelsea 3 Arsenal 5
Van Persie 3, Santos & Walcott 2

The only share of FPL bonus this week comes amongst the Arsenal ranks, with Theo Walcott and Andre Santos tied on identical EA PPI scores having both notched at Stamford Bridge. Robin Van Persie is a clear leader however; he collected the Gameweek’s leading PPI score of 67. Chelsea’s Frank Lampard ranked third overall in this match but was denied bonus by the tied Arsenal pairing.

Everton 0 Man United 1
Hernandez 3, Evra 2, De Gea 1

Javier Hernandez’s strike proved decisive at Goodison and, not surprisingly, proved enough to earn him the highest EA PPI on show and the three bonus points. In a game devoid of any strong attacking performers, it was two United defensive players who ranked next, with Patrice Evra recording a PPI of 24 thanks to assist. David De Gea’s saves fetched him 21 PPI this week. Ji-Sung Park just missed out on bonus with a PPI of 20.

Norwich 3 Blackburn 3
Hoilett 3, Johnson 2, Samba 1

As we predicted last night, it was Junior Hoilett who emerged with the top ranked PPI score and the maximum bonus. Indeed, our forecast for this game proved spot-on, as Bradley Johnson and Blackburn’s Chris Samba picked up the remaining points. Morten Gamst Pedersen and Norwich’s Steve Morison were just a couple of PPI points behind that trio.

Tottenham 3 QPR 1
Van der Vaart 3, Bale 2, Lennon 1

Tottenham’s in-form Dutchman prevails for the maximum bonus – surprisingly recording a stronger EA PPI than two-goal hero Gareth Bale. Van der Vaart’s PPI of 63 will be broken down in our Scout review of the weekend tomorrow but, right now, it looks as though his efforts on target played a part in him nicking top spot from Bale. Aaron Lennon, with two assists from yesterday’s game, earned the remaining bonus.

Man City 2 Wolves 1
Kolarov 3, Dzeko 2, Johnson 1

The winning goal from Aleksandar Kolarov was enough to earn him the top PPI score in this match, just edging out Edin Dzeko in second spot. This again, was a tough one to predict and, while we went for Yaya Toure in our forecast last night, he was ranked fifth, with Adam Johnson recording a PPI of 23 to fetch the remaining bonus point.

Sunderland 2 Aston Villa 2
Petrov 3, Sessegnon 2, Larsson 1

It’s no real surprise to see Stylian Petrov on top of the PPI scores given his goal and assist contribution to the 2-2 draw. Stephane Sessegnon matched him with an identical return, but the Villa man came out on top in the PPI stakes with a 5 point advantage. Seb Larsson collected the remaining bonus courtesy of his assist for the late equaliser, denying Villa’s Richard Dunne by just a single PPI point.

Swansea 3 Bolton 1
Allen 3, Gower 2, Sinclair 1

Our prediction proved accurate for this one, as Joe Allen earned another three bonus points for his second consecutive goal and a busy midfield showing. Mark Gower’s creativity and industry was reflected with another strong PPI return, although it was very tight amongst the Swansea ranks. Scott Sinclair nudged in for a single bonus point with his third spot-kick of the season; there was just a single PPI point between him and Angel Rangel. Indeed, the next four players were separated by just a single PPI point, as the Swans dominated the PPI rankings.

West Brom 0 Liverpool 2
Carroll 3, Agger 2, Enrique 1

Andy Carroll came out on top in this game, just denying Dan Agger a share of the maximum bonus by a single PPI point. Indeed, with a clean sheet at the Hawthorns, Liverpool’s defensive players fared well here. Jose Enrique picked up a single bonus point, while both Martin Skrtel and Jose Reina were also highly placed in the PPI rankings. Charlie Adam also ranked well and was perhaps unfortunate not to see bonus rewards. Luis Suarez fetched a PPI of 12 – again efforts of target appear to have dented his bonus prospects.

Wigan 0 Fulham 2
Dempsey 3, Dembele 2, Sidwell 1

Clint Dempsey did enough to squeeze past Moussa Dembele for the maximum bonus in this game, as the Fulham pairing dominated the PPI rankings. As we predicted last night, Steve Sidwell came in for the single bonus point, although he trailed Dembele by 8 PPI points, sneaking past Mark Schwarzer in fourth by just 2 PPI points.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I've got taylor, s taylor, simpson, Kompany and Bosingwa.

Tempted to get Phil Jones in this week for Bos, bench Kompany and then get a stoke cheaper in. That should cover me for the next few weeks.

Simpson to wilkinson should work out well. Then you only have Ruddy to sort out

    Guys need advice pretty sharpish!

    1. Young > VDV, Ade > 8m striker

    2. Young > Mata, Ade > Balotelli

    3. Young > Nani, Ade > 8m striker

    4. Young > Larsson/Sinclair/Cabaye, Ade > Aguero

Youngs out for 3 weeks and Ade just isn't doing it for me, so which one seems the best option? All require 4 point hit though.

    Team

    Vorm, Ruddy

    Kompany, Enrique, Simpson, Wilkinson, Naylor

    Silva, VDV, Nani, Dyer, Tiote

    RVP, Rooney, Sturridge

Team's going alright but having some tough decisions to make.

Do i take out Nani if he is being benched?
Take out Rooney if he keeps playing as a midfielder?
    Is Sturridge worth keeping?
Is it worth taking out Kompany for Jones who has good fixtures coming up or leaving him on the bench for one week?

IMO Rooney will not stay in midfield for long, he is not a great midfield player and gets very frustrated in that position...i feel the weekend was horses for courses against everton, in an attempt to keep things tight at the back...understandable after their defeat and a good way to build back confidence immediately.

I would also keep Sturridge, he will start on the right of a three-pronged attack more often than not as Anelka is his only competition for that position. He will consistently score points.

Kompany/Jones toss of a coin affair for me that one...both will play regularly, although Kompany is perhaps more nailed on to start...it really boils down to who you feel will keep clean sheets more often

    Nani > ?
    Adebayor > RVP

This leaves me with 6.3 mill for a midfielder...If HBA starts this evening then its more than likely that he will come into my team.

Any chance of a bit of advice on other midfield candidates for 6.3

Really considering getting Robin Van Persie in.

Have to make the move today, it would be:
    A. Cole -> McAuley (WBA)
    Adebayor -> RVP

    Pros:
    RVP in killer form
RVP play at home vs West Brom next GW and has nice fixtures in general
RVP will rise several times during the next weeks

    Cons:

I had a decent score this week but should have been much better as cpt adebayor. I had both vdv and rvp in my team too. Last time I'll try to be clever and predict points. Shows that it's essential to back form!!

Doesn't always work out to walk off the herd does it?

But really without the benefit of hindsight would you ever have backed an Arsenal player away at Chelsea? It would have been a silly move on paper imo. VDV on the other hand was a good shout, just bad luck there though.

Yeah, I just thought ade was due one. Can't believe how high vdv's ppi score was. He's got to be a good cpt shout next time they have a really nice fixture. Still broke into the top 10k in the world so got to be happy with that πŸ™‚

52pts with raylor to play, not bad πŸ™‚ I fancy a Rooney hattrick next week against sunderland, easy captain.

Really? Not worried about him being deployed in a deeper role again?

With Cleverley back, Rooney will play higher up the pitch. We should see the Rooney from the start of the season again. It's no coincidence he got sh*t when Cleverley got injured πŸ˜‰

VDV 24 goal attempts for the season.

...and 20 were on target. 😯

        Unworldly. πŸ˜•

I reckon Bosingwa > Jones could be the one this week. Would ideally like to free up some funds so I can upgrade one of Petrov/Hoolihan to Drenthe as well, really I'm looking to get both of them out.
