Paddy have pinpointed Sergio Aguero (1.72) as the most likely scorer this Gameweek in the wake of his brace against Crystal Palace. Considering that West Ham United lay claim to just three clean sheets at home, Kevin De Bruyne (2.10) and Kelechi Iheanacho (2.29) also feature in their assessment, with Manuel Pellegrini’s men clearly backed for goals in East London. Once again, De Bruyne is selected as the most likely midfielder to score in the Gameweek.

That pushes Aguero’s big captain rival, Romelu Lukaku, down to second in Paddy’s reckoning – providing further food for thought for those “fortunate” enough to have that choice this morning.

Despite drawing blanks in his last three starts, Lukaku has been tipped at 1.83 for Everton’s home clash against Swansea City. The Swans have shipped six goals in their previous trio of league ties and have posted a solitary clean sheet on their travels, so the Belgian frontman does look well placed to end his comparative dry spell.

Like Lukaku, Odion Ighalo (2.10) has failed to net in his last three starts but enjoys a favourable match-up as Newcastle United make the trip to Vicarage Road. Only three teams have conceded more away goals (21) than the Magpies, prompting Paddy to also hand Troy Deeney (2.29) short odds. Given the Magpie’s injuries in defence, it’s difficult to see Watford’s vibrant front two coming out of that encounter without profit.

Wayne Rooney’s (2.29) recent scoring form – five goals in four matches in all competitions – has ensured that Paddy are backing the United skipper strongly ahead of his collision with Southampton. The Saints’ rearguard won’t be pushovers at Old Trafford, however, having kept consecutive clean sheets via Ronald Koeman’s new 3-5-2 setup.

Intriguingly, both Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez are both pitched at 2.29 for Arsenal’s home encounter against Chelsea. Sanchez’s valuation reflects his explosive potential from the bench, yet Walcott’s pricing looks off when you discover that he’s bagged just one goal in his last 10 appearances. Oddly, Paddy have given the Gunners midfield pair shorter odds than Olivier Giroud, who sits out at 2.50 for an anytime goal against the Blues.

Jamie Vardy (2.40) sneaks in before the Arsenal striker. The Foxes record-breaker is in the midst of a six-match goalless streak but next faces a Stoke City defence that was breached five times in their last couple of road clashes. We also have to presume that he’ll be handed spot-kick duties for today’s clash following Riyad Mahrez’ recent misses, furthering Vardy’s chances of breaking his barren run.

Ahead of their respective away fixtures, Christian Benteke and Harry Kane can be backed at 2.40. The former is unlikely to start at Norwich after completing 90 minutes in Liverpool’s midweek FA Cup match, while the in-form Kane will fancy his chances against an Eagles outfit that conceded eight goals over their last three Gameweeks.

Once again we’ve got a tie at the very top of Paddy’s clean sheet rankings. United’s commanding home form again finds them backed strongly for another shut-out with Southampton the Old Trafford visitors: no team has conceded fewer home goals (4) than Louis van Gaal’s men.

West Bromwich Albion sit alongside United, with Paddy backing them to record just their third clean sheet in 13 match-ups when Aston Villa roll up at The Hawthorns. Much of this has to do with Villa’s own plight rather than the Baggies’ record at the Hawthorns. Tony Pulis’ men have mustered just three shut-outs on home turf, but with only five goals in their last six, it’s clear that the failings of Remi Garde’s outfit are the key factor here.

We’ve a Merseyside duo next in our table and, when you consider that Everton (2.25) rank top for goals conceded at home (20) this term, their pricing against Swansea appears to harbour minimal appeal. Again, it’s the visitor’s form that’s the key variable: the Swans have registered just eight goals on their travels, only Newcastle have scored fewer (5) away from home.

Meanwhile, Liverpool (2.40) locks horns with Norwich City at Carrow Road and, yet again, it seems to be all about the opposition – Alex Neil’s men have mustered just four goals across their last five matches.

Given that Leicester recorded shut-outs in their last two home ties, they could attract investment at the 2.50 mark. Tottenham (also 2.50) sit alongside them and look the pick of the bunch, as they prepare to duel a Palace side that’s failed to score in its last five outings. Spurs have conceded just nine goals on their travels – a tally matched only by Man City.

There’s little to separate Manuel Pellegrini’s men and Watford (2.60 vs 2.62) with regards to their clean-sheet potential. The Hornets will do well to stifle a rejuvenated Newcastle attack that’s scored five in two matches, while the Sky Blues could make it four shut-outs in five if they can shackle Dimitri Payet’s influence on the Hammers at Upton Park.
