The draw for the first round of the 2019/20 FFS Cup FFS Cup

Just 16 ties to look at as the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, goes midweek for the first time. To see exactly what the draw has thrown out, click here. As you’ll seem, there are still plenty of big names left challenging for the title…

Last week’s top-scorer Gazzamania has a tough match-up against DRP, who sits just 5 points behind him overall.

Soup or Man will be looking to continue his good form (five straight green arrows), when he takes on 100k+ ranked Back to Back Ballacks.

Another recognisable name in the fifth round is Anorak, who has his work cut out against a highly-ranked opponent olive.

After eliminating Granville, Chris81 will once again have to beat the odds to overcome top 8k ranked DaFoe22. Another Scout killer, tippman, is still in the mix and takes on Unwillingplayer.

Site favourite bill badger is a huge underdog this week, as he has been handed a tie with round three top-scorer and 12th in the world, Ann_der_roo.

Ann_der_roo is clearly the highest-ranked participant in round five, but the unfortunate title of lowest-ranked goes to Manif, who is the true underdog of the competition. Sitting at a season-best 328,067th in the world, he’ll have to continue to upset the apple cart to see off atx1303, who is ranked a good 100k+ places above him.

All fixtures are to be played over gameweek 12 (starting tonight). Good luck to all 32 fantasy managers left in the competition, and remember that a free £25 bet, courtesy of Paddy Power, is available as always to the top-scorer this round.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Gotta go to bed now and when I wake up it'll be past the deadline...
If VDV says he's sore, would that mean he may make an appearance off the bench for one point? or should i not risk it and play Barton instead.

So I do not dare to give the armband to Fabs another week, not that many in my minileague have him so he's a nice differential anyway if he should start performing.
However the last three games when I've seen Drogs I haven't been too impressed by him either, he also seems out of form.
Well of course if he had a fever this weekend that's a perfectly good excuse but still I'm not sure about him.

So, if I get confirmation on VdV starting he'll be my captain this week otherwise I'll give it to ACole with emergency set to value (=> Drogs will get it if Cole gets a rest).
    Sounds ok?

That has been my captain average for the last three weeks and two points up from last week so in that case I'll take it with just a small amount of public complaining.

      From the Beeb:

Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier is shorn of five first-team regulars, with captain Nigel Reo-Coker the latest player to suffer an injury.

Ciaran Clark or Steve Sidwell will come into midfield, but Gabriel Agbonlahor is unlikely to be rushed back after groin surgery.

I want to get rid Berbatov and Chamakh and the plan is to bring in Drogba for Berbatov and to be able to afford that do Chamakh > Ameobi. Good moves?

Drogba and Ameobi both have two nice home games but do you think Ameobi will be a regular starter in the future?

If only I hadn't benched Carroll I would be in that draw. Oh well didn't want to win it anyway, it would have looked like a fix.

I bought a Guinness in the pub last night and it was off! I tried to get it changed but the bar staff refused. In disgust I drew a big letter 'X' on the glass and demanded to see the manager. Unbelievably, even he refused to change it, telling me that I'd crossed the pint of no return!

Greetings folks. Just a quick Q on transfers that hopefully you can help with.

From 'Rules' on FPL: "If you don't use the saved transfer in the next gameweek then it will be carried over until you do."

I didn't make a transfer last week, so have 2 this week. If I make just one change this week, would I be right in thinking my spare/extra transfer would carry over to next week?? So I'd have two free transfers next time out????

    Many thanks...
