Petr Cech is sidelined for up to four weeks with a calf complaint ahead of the north London derby. Dele Alli could be in line to return to the Spurs XI, with Mousa Dembele set to be assessed. Southampton have concerns up front for the visit of Sunderland, whilst West Brom’s Chris Brunt is ruled out for six months with knee ligament damage.

Petr Cech has been ruled out for “three-to-four weeks†with a calf complaint sustained in midweek, Arsene Wenger confirmed earlier this morning. The Gunners boss admitted that Laurent Koscielny will miss the upcoming matches against Spurs and Hull with “a small injuryâ€.

Mauricio Pochettino revealed that both Dele Alli and Mousa Dembele will be assessed ahead of the north London derby. The Spurs boss is hopeful that the Belgian will be involved after missing out against West Ham in midweek, whilst he also reckons that Alli stands a good chance of starting after the youngster was utilised as a sub on Wednesday night due to an ankle problem.

Lee Cattermole has been ruled out of Sunderland’s trip to St Mary’s with the concussion that forced him off against Palace on Tuesday. Jeremain Lens remains sidelined with a hernia problem, though Big Sam is hopeful that John O’Shea could recover from a calf complaint in time. The Black Cats boss admitted that he’s managing Jan Kirchhoff’s fitness after replacing the new boy in midweek due to fatigue, though the former Bayern man is expected to be available for tomorrow.

Norwich midfielder Alex Tettey is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing ankle surgery. Gary O’Neil and Robbie Brady are both available after recovering from a midweek collision that left the latter with a cut head and Brady needing a visit to the dentist after losing two teeth. Steven Naismith is back after overcoming a knock, whilst Andre Wisdom will return to training next week.

Bryan Oviedo is a doubt for Everton’s clash with West Ham after being forced off with a knock in midweek. Roberto Martinez has also revealed that Leighton Baines is set to see a specialist as he is still being hampered by the ankle problem that saw him miss much of the season – the left-back is expected to be available for the weekend, though. Mo Besic and Darron Gibson are likely to be available, whilst Tom Cleverley will continue to be monitored after missing out against Villa due to illness.

Charlie Austin is set to be sidelined for three-to-four weeks with the hamstring injury sustained at Bournemouth. The Saints are also without Shane Long for the visit of Sunderland, though the striker is expected to be available for the following weekend’s clash against Stoke. Victor Wanyama serves the fourth of a five-match suspension this weekend.

Ryan Shawcross is again expected to miss out for Stoke this weekend. Mark Hughes revealed that his skipper is seeing a specialist in Germany and, should he skip the trip to Chelsea, is optimistic that the defender could be back for Gameweek 30. Phil Bardsley has been ruled out with a calf complaint, whilst Geoff Cameron is “really sore†after returning to action from an ankle problem over the last week.

Harry Arter and Josh King are both “very doubtful†for Bournemouth’s trip to Newcastle, according to Eddie Howe. The duo were forced off with injuries in midweek and will be subject to late assessments.

West Brom were dealt a blow yesterday after Chris Brunt was ruled out of action for up to six months with knee ligament damage.

For those chasing their ML's, how far behind are you from your rival? At what point, do you think the lead becomes insurmountable? I'm 106 behind my rival, who's a 'casual' (pardon me for using the term) and putting all my eggs in the GW 30/Double Gameweek basket

I'm second with more than 100 behind my top 300 ranked rival. He's won it as he's good too so won't slip up. Also has key chips and wc left. Second is what I want to cling on to though as there are cash prizes for all top three places.

That's the frustrating part this season. Being 100 behind to someone who's a pro doesn't hurt as much as compared to being that many points behind a casual!

Yep, I want him to do well. He's usually top five in our minileague and this is his best season yet. He knows his way around dgwks and has made some canny differential picks - particular among Stoke defenders this season. He could easily finish top 100.

I'm 123 behind him, and like a lot of the other high fliers all their chips are burnt. I still have mine, but no I think it's to big a gap and hidden in amongst them are a lot of good players with their chips intact too.
I'm +100 in my ML and confidant of hanging on to that.
I think a 3 figure rank is possible and would be delighted with that.

Realistically 100pts is too much with 10 GW left. If you've got chips and WC but rival doesn't it becomes a possibility.

cut it down to 70 over last two weeks, which is average of 7 per week to gain, have TC and BB so if they work out ok I could maybe half the lead.
guy in second is problem he has same chips as me 69 point lead and we have 9 starting players the same

Pared down an 80 point lead to a 45 pt one - ML leader is pretty casual (keeps forgetting to look at team, especially in midweek) and has played his wildcard already. No idea about upcoming blanks. Praying Arsenal beat Hull so he has a pile of blanks in GW30.

Hoping my DGW planning and greater degree of knowledge about the game will be the difference.

Arsenal still showing on GW30 is huge. Players in my ML holding 3 with no idea they could disappear at the last min. Will cause a lot of wildcards to be played giving me an advantage (so i keep telling myself). No reason to think hull wont win though.

Oh jees I know - I strongly suspect Arsenal will lose and he'll be none the wiser about how close he was to a huge fail.

You definitely aren't mate. Harder for you if he has them in tact, just hope he doesn't use them well. Some casuals don't use their second wildcard so there is hope!

Top in all cash leagues but only by around an average of 25-30 points.

I'm second in one league to a mate who, to be honest, is a proper "casual" and has been extremely lucky this season. He's killed me with Costa and Firmino in the last six weeks.

However I'm only around 18 behind him and he has no Aguero and hasn't planned for GW30, so I'll hopefully overtake him sharpish.

Bought Dier instead of Toby when both were still 5.0 because Dier was playing as mid so I thought more goal threat + CS more than Toby.

And selling Vardy when he was having knock only to score again after 3-4 GWs later. Buy him again eventually. Fund wasted.

    2 quick questions;

    A) Cresswell & Lingard > Williams & Silva

    B) Cresswell & Costa > Williams & Aguero

I'm swaying towards B, with PSG coming up I can see Costa being rested.

Secondly, if I keep Lingard do I start him or Alli? I already have Kane, but Arsenal's defensive injuries are tempting me to start both.

Not nearly as much as everybody assumes.

Big chances are a function of a loss of concentration, not the opposing team's excellence, or otherwise.
