Sunday’s single league fixture finds Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur do battle in the West Midlands. The Villains enter this match-up in the wake of four successive defeats, while Spurs will strive to record their first victory in three outings.

Villa are the league’s most impotent unit across the previous four Gameweeks, ranking bottom for attempts (27), shots inside the box (15), big chances (one) and shots on target (eight). They have been similarly abject at the other end of the pitch, shipping six more goals (15) and five more big chances (15) than the rest of the field. Tottenham will also draw heart from the fact that Villa chart second for goals conceded in home ties (23).

Despite placing top for attempts (75), top for shots on target (31), joint-top for big chances (11) and second for shots inside the box (38) over the last four Gameweeks, Spurs were curtailed by an underwhelming shot-conversion rate (8%). Nonetheless, investors in their attacking quartet will be encouraged that Tottenham rank joint-third for goals scored (24) and top for shots on target (75) in road clashes.

      Depends if you could have done with the extra 2.5 - 3m....they're both good options but Alli being so much cheaper makes him by far the better pick.

    I hope Spurs win the league. Nothing against Leicester but I've always liked Spurs, right back to their great 80s teams.

    It's funny how this is probably the toughest FPL season in recent years, and my (C) decisions have been very poor, yet I'm having my best season ever

    Here's hoping it continues, just wanted to beat my PB from last year, under the 12k mark

          I just thought KUN's 4 game stats were very inflated due to having played Villa, Kane was already matching him and City away form dreadful. I did get some cold feet seeing all the Aguero posts pre-deadline!

          Both were good choices and Kun could have outscored Kane on a different day

          I just think it's better to go with the "safer" option and avoid elements of doubt like Norwich's relegation battle and City's away form

          ML rivals split 50/50 between the two so might see a jump to 3rd with some luck
