In spite of a five-match Gameweek, there’s still plenty to pore over in our first members’ article of the week. We cast an eye over City’s troubles on the road, Bournemouth’s upturn in output, Marko Arnautovic’s home comforts and the contrasting fortunes of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy up front in recent matches.

      And 2 or 3 Everton.

Will they have 3 DGW or a DGW and a TGW?

        Ah right cheers Palace,

        So 3 x Arsenal (incl Ozil & Bellerin), 3 x Liverpool (incl Fimino & def/GK), 2/3 x Everton (incl Lukaku & def/GK), Aguero (plus maybe Silva/KdB/Yaya).

Not much too fill after that.....

Those teams are struggling at the moment.

Would only want Bellerin, Özil and Firminho from the two teams.

Going to leave this here. Any additions/deletions to this?

    Pros of 33WC

    - Go with FFS
    - Less rotation
    - Cant punt without worry in GW 31,32,33
    - Possible TC for triple GW in Lukaku in 37
    - Lesser chances of rotation

    Pros of 37 WC

    - Can already get 10 out for 34. Current planning goes to waste
    - Differential final chance to get boost in rankings
    - Better TC options in 34 with Kun, Arsenal and United fixtures
    - Will get 3 optimum Everton players if its an Everton Triple GW (basically will have one Lukaku less)
    - Possible team combo
3 WHM (SWA, MUN) - Will almost certainly have 4th/5th spot to play for. Don't see much rotation
3 MUN (nor whm) - Could have 5th to play for
    3 EVER - Probably DGW
3 SUN - Could be fighting for their lives. Hello Defoe + Khazri + PVA
4 from LIV and WAT (Clyne/Mignolet, Firmino, Ighalo - less prone to rotation)

That why I'm doing WC in GW36!

      Pros of 37 WC

Can hold Leicester/Tottenham/Southampton assets for plum GW35 fixtures.

          WC 33

          Keep 2 Leic
          Keep Kane

          • 12 Years
          9 years, 8 months ago

true, but in WC36 you can get quality in 33 and 35 and full on quantity when both Spurs and Leicester face a tricky final 3.

Also, would appreciate your thoughts on the plan. The 5 i get in will change but this is initial thinking.

    And this.

Current Squad with DGWers marked in Caps

    butland mccarthy
    BELLERIN williams targett fuchs
    OZIL FIRMINO SILVA mahrez alli
    AGUERO kane vardy

Have 5FTs and 1M to play with. I went reverse and added the players i want/could have

Gives me this for 34. Sort off.

    De Gea
    Bellerin Clyne Fuchs (Williams Targett)
    Ozil Silva Sanchez Firmino (Alli)
    Aguero Martial Rashford

Gives me a 35 team of

    Butland
Bellerin Clyne Fuchs (Williams Targett) (all five defenders playing in 35)
    Ozil Sanchez Silva Firmino Alli
    Aguero (Martial Rashford)

With 1FT to convert Martial to Kane.

Means i can now go all in with a GW36 WC.

This is is a first draft plan. Seem reasonable folks?
With a current draft of DGWers that i would definitely want in my WC - Firmino, Ozil, Bellerin and Aguero and one doubtful one that i am carrying - Silva, seems like a waste to use a WC in 33.

Dawson playing for a DGW34 place over the next two (NOR, sun) for me?

If WBA/Dawson can't get CS in those, no way I'll keep him for the DGW34 (with mci & tot eitherside)

In fact reckon WBA might be off limits...

    GW33 WC
    ddg/elliot
    clyne/monreal/bellerin/rojo/nyom
    firmino/milner/KDB/payet/ozil
    lukaku/aguero/deeney

    So GW 35 ddg blanks
    rojo/nyom blank
    payet blanks
    lukaku/deeney blank

2 players will need to be switched out.
    1 FT and a -4 hit?

Any changes to make this better?

Just drafted a WC33 team. Your thoughts are the most welcome.

    Cech - Gomes
    Nyom - Dawson - Smalling - Borthwick - Clyne
    Ozil - Firmino - Mata - Mahrez - Payet
    Lukaku - Sturridge - Kun

    Then for GW35, I wouldn't mind benching Payet - Ozil & Mata
Then will have enough time to ship Kun - Ozil and Mahrez (if need be), to get Willain/Hazard and Rooney/Martial for GW37.

Hopefully with the nightmare fixture list over, Arsenal just glide to the realtive safety of 3rd place now and leave City to fight off the contenders without Kompany in their side. Leicester, Spurs, Arsenal, West Ham would be great craic in the Champions League.

I would expect Arsenal to put their heads down and make it reasonably comfortably in the end. Zero distractions (with the reasonable assumption of not turning around Barca tonight!) and plenty of options at their disposal in the forward positions. Should have enough.

TOT pretty tight defensively so think Ozil (WAT) or Payet (CPL) are the better 1 week punts.

Firmino pretty nailed on in my GW33 WC though

          Possibly even Pedro/Oscar/Traore (avl)

          1 question?

Are you keeping Mahrez on WC? Or likely to replace him for someone like Milner with 2DGWs coming up?

Mahrez & possibly Kane are the only 2 non DGWers I'm considering keeping.

Ozil over Payet for me, but maybe Traore/Willian over either.

I think Ozil > Payet also

Best defender to bring in this week? 6.3m budget

Azpi, Williams or one of the PulisBall contingent. Is Dawson back?

Not sure. I already have that liability JEvans, so desperately hoping he makes it back and not sure about a double up.

Williams this week leaves me with plenty of flexibility next week I guess.

            Looks like:

            A) Williams (AVL), Wolly (SWA) & Ozil (WAT)

            vs

            B) Ivanovic (WHU, avl) & Payet (CPL) or CHE mid (avl)

            Thoughts?

    Okay so far I've got:

    Smalling - Bellerin
    Ozil - Firmino - Payet - Mahrez
    Aguero - Lukaku

    might auto complete the rest.....

I'm seriously considering getting Sturridge instead of Aguero, because of fund issue mainly.

      Fabianski - Schmeical
Funis Mori - Daniels - Cook
      Antonio
      Rondo

      is what auto complete recommends...

Are we all getting too dgw biased, bringing in lots of players we never would have played above the players we own now?

Can we risk that the dgws are ruining our chances in the remaining GWs of the run in?
