In spite of a five-match Gameweek, there’s still plenty to pore over in our first members’ article of the week. We cast an eye over City’s troubles on the road, Bournemouth’s upturn in output, Marko Arnautovic’s home comforts and the contrasting fortunes of Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy up front in recent matches.

    West Ham (A)/Crystal Palace (H)/Sunderland (A)/ Norwich (H)

    vs

    Man Utd (H)/Stoke (A)/West Brom (H)/Chelsea (A)

That's the crux of it for early Wild carders.

The biggest decision of WC will be whether to keep Mahrez or swap to Milner.

Milner: bou / EVE, NEW, swa, WAT/ CHE, wba

Mahrez: WHM, SWA, mun, EVE, che

Milner 2 extra games might pip this one. On PKs as well.

        Milner for sure.
Mahrez playing less attacking role (whole leicester team is). Off PK for now, and harder plus less fixtures.

Milner on PK, more games, has been rested (red card ban).

        Last 6:

        3, 11, 6, 3, 1, 14 = 44

        -1, 13, 8, 5, 2, 11 = 38

        closer than you think.

Also LIV have 2 doubles and no blank and nice fixtures through to 38. Eve 3 doubles and just 1 blank and good fixtures to 38. Think more cover on these would be good too.

Hey guys, does anyone else think TC in gw34, WC in 36, BB in 37 is the best way to go?

Don't have to lose LEI and TOT players for their good fixtures and can TC Arsenal player in gw 34 with good fixtures instead of using BB.

Don't let 24 pts influence the big calls. You get to make a transfer that he can't copy every single week, and there's always the armband.

Keep running your own race and just maximising points.

    2 week punts for gw 33...have 2ft

    Lloris
Wolscheid (wat) simpson (cry) williams (AVL)
    Alli mahrez sanchez arnautovic
    Kane kun vardy

    Courtois payet clyne daniels

    - don't like my def over next 2 gws
    - all attackers have toughish fixtures

A: daniels >> Dawson...next gw will bring in ozil and Belle for WAT
B: other options? Bring in siggy? Lukaku (ARS, utd) tho

Anyone keeping Mahrez and Kane through the doubles ? I just can't think of a third striker + fifth mid combo that I'd rather have than these two, even though they don't have doubles.

Feel like all of our recent good work climbing the ranks will be undone if these two score well during GW 33-35 and we sell them prematurely. Ownership is between 70-100 % right now, and I don't see that dropping below 50% come GW 34.

I'm happy with 13DGWers + Kane and Mahrez

Everyone will own Lukaku and Robles.

It's just a matter of getting Barkley or not.

I don't think it's that much of a game changer tbh.. We are all going to get lukaku and maybe Robles because of price. The only decision this might influence is Barkley, who I'm anyway unsure of because of all the midfield options.

Maybe another effect is how many Utd players you can get for GW34 because you won't have to bench lukaku in gw35. Anyway, it's not as crucial as you are making it sound, Ryan.. or am i missing something

You are missing something. The blank in GW35 and making sure we have 11 players. It will be a whole lot easier fielding a full team if we can include our 3 Everton players. I'd like to not have to have 5 defenders playing in GW35 if I can help it.

Fair enough - but as things stand I think most of us have the ideo of benching Utd def + Lukaku + Payet in GW35 and playing 4-4-2.

Everton having a game in 35 would make navigating this easier for sure

I would like to have Antonio and Ighalo to save costs. Not so viable then. But if my Everton players can play then suddenly I can get Antonio, Ighalo, Payet plus 2 Everton attackers. The entire look of my attack can change.

Agreed, I hadn't considered ighalo/deeney and Antonio as options - and I most likely won't have them in my team for gw34. But yeah I should keep an open mind about this - thanks Ryan

A lukaku triple game week would make triple captain a no brainer. Depending on when the palace game is, he still may the best triple captain option for a double gameweek. Gw 36 would make him a credible triple captain.

Ah, this is an interesting case. It looks like Lukakus fixtures if there's a dgw36 are better than dgw37 and TC might be an option. Thanks for pointing this out TSE !

A question about price changes with regards to wildcarding. Trying to make it understandable.. Assuming a lot are gonna wildcard in GW33, how will this affect prices? Will it be best to start wildcarding right when GW32 fixtures have started and get players in ASAP/know in advance which players you want? And of you throw a player out while wildcarding and you want him back after price rise, you have yo pay a higher price?
Any simple answers/links that explains this greatly appreciated!

Transfers with an active wildcard do not impact price changes.

It's always best to activate the very first day so you can try to gain on price changes for players you think will go up but you don't want in the end.

Sell price will always be less than purchase price if said price has gone up since you bought (you get half of all rises).

      1. If huge numbers wildcard it could dampen price movements
      2. Activating early is sensible

Draft Team for GW 34: TP

    Elliot (courtouis)
    Janmaat Jagielka Bellerin (Huth) (Daniels)
    Milner Firminho Silva Özil Payet
    Aguero Lukaku( TC ) (Ighalo)

TC Lukaku rather then Kun.....feel he might be rested with CL games comming up.

Draft Team for GW 37: BB

    Mignolet Elliot
    Cresswell Jagielka Janmaat Daniels Huth
    Antonio Payet(c) Milner Firminho Winjaldhom
    Aguero Lukaku Ighalo

This DGW arrangement actually makes the whole thing relatively simple. Especially to those who still have a WC, BB and TC chips available.

Tinkering about quickly, I was able to come up with a (sorf of) realistic team which is able to
    1) play 15 DGW players in GW34;
    2) play a full 11 in Gw35;
    3) play 11 DGW in GW37 with no hits;
    4) have no players from 'unwanted' teams (ie Palace, Sunderland, Norwich, etc)

    Cech - Robles*
    Smalling* - Bellerin - Sakho - Sagna - Evans
Firmino - Coutinho - Yaya - Ozil -Wijnaldium
    Kun - Lukaku* - Martial*

*indicates on the bench on GW35

    And with planned transfer of
    GW34 - save FT
    GW35 - Kun to Costa
GW 36 - Yaya to Barkley
GW 37 - Ozil Bellerin to Payet Creswell

    You'll have this on GW37
    Robles
    Smalling - Sakho - Creswell
    Firmino - Coutinho - Barkley - Payet
    Costa - Lukaku - Martial

Especially if Everton TGW is in GW37, you'll have 3 of their assets.

By all means this is just for tinkering purposes and most probably theres plenty of players who are not nailed on/injured/too crap to consider anymore. Been out of date since the beginning of my backpack trip around Europe.

And no thats not my team or some satan spawn kind of way for a cheeky RMT. I think theres few other players who might outscore the DGWs (im looking at you 3 from our current league leaders 😉

Alexis is pulling a Hazard currently so not sure about that. And this is not my team.

If you want to fit in Alexis you can always go Coutinho - Alexis and downgrade elsewhere. Martial to Rashford maybe, or Smalling to Sagna

Personally yes. Im not letting go of Kun that early in my actual team.

This is just an extreme example of doing that.

I'll be looking to ship Kun on GW37

Cresswell and Payet are good additions in 37 but I would not lose Ozil and Bellerin for them. Gw 38 ARS home to AVL..Also ditching Aguero on 35 does not seem sensible. Your plan from gw35 onwards seems abit too quantity focused..

Just over half the top 10K have their Wildcard and Triple Captain available. Just over 40 per cent can bench boost.
