Ryan Shawcross and Xherdan Shaqiri are ruled out of Stoke’s clash with Watford. Everton’s Bryan Oviedo remains a doubt, Watford top scorer Odion Ighalo is set for a late assessment, whilst Andre Ayew is sidelined for Swansea’s home match against Villa.

Bryan Oviedo remains a doubt for Everton’s clash with Arsenal, with Roberto Martinez admitting that the Costa Rican has “lost a considerable amount of weight” from a recent chest infection. Gareth Barry serves the first of a two-match suspension for the Toffees after being sent off against Chelsea last weekend, whilst Kevin Mirallas sits out the second of his own two-match ban.

Mathieu Flamini has been ruled out of Arsenal’s trip to Everton with the knock that forced him off against Barcelona in midweek.

Villa’s Carlos Sanchez has stepped up his recovery from a hamstring problem and “should” be available for the trip to Swansea. Remi Garde is hopeful that both Jack Grealish and Adama Traore could return in time to face Chelsea in Gameweek 32.

Sunderland’s new signing Emmanuel Eboue has picked up a hamstring problem and joins Duncan Watmore on the sidelines ahead of the Tyne-Wear derby. Jermain Defoe has been suffering from a calf complaint but will return to full training today.

Ryan Shawcross has been ruled out of Stoke’s trip to Watford due to a back problem. Xherdan Shaqiri is also missing after picking up a thigh complaint, though Mark Hughes reckons both will be back in contention after the international break. Erik Pieters has failed to train all week and remains doubtful, though Phil Bardsley is back in contention after recovering from a calf problem.

Alan Pardew is optimistic that Mile Jedinak will recover from a back problem in time to face Leicester. Connor Wickham remains sidelined with a thigh problem.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe will make a late decision on Harry Arter’s fitness as the midfielder continues to nurse an Achilles complaint. Junior Stanislas remains on the sidelines for the trip to Tottenham.

James Morrison remains sidelined for West Brom, Tony Pulis has confirmed. The Baggies boss also conceded that they have “one or two knocks” ahead of Norwich’s visit tomorrow.

James Collins and James Tomkins are still unavailable for West Ham’s trip to Stamford Bridge, though Winston Reid is back in contention after being forced off with cramp last weekend. The on-loan Victor Moses cannot play against his parent club.

Quique Sanchez Flores will make a late check on the availability of Odion Ighalo, who was subbed off with a muscle problem last weekend. Miguel Britos remains a doubt with a calf complaint, whilst Joel Ekstrand is unlikely to be available for the visit of Stoke.

Ander Herrera missed United’s cup clash with Liverpool last night with a minor groin problem.

Eric Dier and Ben Davies are both doubts for Tottenham’s clash with Bournemouth. The latter was forced off against Dortmund following a collision with keeper Hugo Lloris, whilst Dier picked up a knock towards the end of the 2-1 home loss.

Andy King is doubtful for Leicester’s clash with Palace due to the illness that caused him to miss out against Newcastle on Monday.

Andre Ayew misses Swansea’s home encounter against Villa due to an ankle problem, though Jefferson Montero is available after recovering from illness.

Nathan Redmond is ruled out of Norwich’s clash against West Brom due to the ankle injury sustained against City last Saturday lunchtime.

So those WCing in GW33, are you punting or are you going to catch price rises to mint some money?

Personally, I feel if we are set on a WC in 33 then its better to play the fixtures and punt where possible. With only 8 GWs remaining (plus the extra few matches,) we need all the points we can get so I feel it is better to punt now and then worry about the WC later. Maximizing the team to get 0.0 ITB has NEVER worked out for me at any point in my FPL career so in any case I feel I won't be getting a WC team which leaves no room for at least a 0.2 swing in prices.

Also, what if one of the designated players gets injured right in GW33 and we need a few money ITB to get the next player in our waiting list.

    So, punting or making money?

I'm just gonna do some punts I think. Most likely on Chelsea players for the Villa game or West Ham players for the Palace match

In that boat today, with Kompany. Get Bellerin with DGW34 in mind, or short-term punt on Williams and commit to the wildcard in GW33...?

Current results “prediction” for each match next GW (based on each team’s number of team goals spread market mid-point).

    Everton 1.5 Arsenal 1.45
    Palace 1.1 Leicester 1.3
    Chelsea 1.85 West Ham 0.95
    Watford 1.2 Stoke 1
    West Brom 1.35 Norwich 1
    Swansea 1.7 Villa 0.8
    Newcastle 1.4 Sunderland 1.05
    Southampton 1.2 Liverpool 1.15
    Man C 1.7 Man U 0.95
    Spurs 2 Bournemouth 0.9

For example, if Everton v Arsenal was played at the same time in parallel universes, say, 100 times, the spread-betting website reckons that Everton would score 150 goals (i.e. a 1.5 average) and Arsenal 145 (i.e. a 1.45 average).

Have Dier, Dawson, Kompany so trouble in defense. Do you think Dier or Dawson will play so I can get away with doing Silva to Siggy or that too much luxury when 3 doubtful defenders? Could get Williams for Kompany (likely cs against Villa)

How about Newcastle's back 4? Even with three starting defenders missing, and with only a few days' training, Rafa pulled his defense together to keep high-scoring Leicester to 1 goal at the King Power Stadium. This week they're at home to Sunderland.

Well of course you're not looking forward to the DGW. Not if you have Kane, Vardy, Mahrez and Alli.

Travelling in NZ so only briefly read up on all the news. Good to see the DGWs announced.

Currently have only 5 DGW 34 players*, a WC BB & TC.

      DDG* Lloris
      Fuchs Daniels Williams Moreno* Janmaat*
      Mahrez Alli Stanislas Siggy Ozil*
      Kane Vardy Aguero*

      1) It's a no brainer for me to WC in 33 for a BB 34 right?
      2) Have 1 FT 2.0m ITB...save FT for international break?

      thoughts on above appreciated. Cheers!!!

        With 1 FT I'd WC.
Saving isn't as strong with a WC looming. Daniels for a defender with a better fixture?

          WC this week or 33?

Thinking saving FT this week as I can field a strong 11 and then have 2FT for the international break for a couple of punts before WC 33.

If you WC36 you could get 9 DGWers for GW34 with Mahrez and Kane - GW35 team would be very good too.

Which of A/B do you prefer?
      A. Kompany ➡ WBA/Williams (alternative is playing Bellerin (eve) or Azpi (WHU)
      B. Arnie ➡ Ozil (benching Alli)
      C. Either (got 2 FTs, will have 2 for the int break)

      Will WC in 33

Not doing a punt with Vardy.
FT 32 earmarked Siggy ➡ Traoe until further
Got good cover for WBA/Williams in gw 32 (can bench)

I don't think Butland will keep clean sheet against Watford so i'm thinking of doing Hennessy to Fabianski.

Should i do it or save the FT ? going to wildcard in GW 33 as well.

On the fence about bringing in PVA or Janmaat. PVA probably wont get a CS, but has better goal threat. I do feel Newcastle will shut the shop and Janmaat could get a CS.

I've got a similar issue - I have Saylor at the back curently because of Kompany's injury. Am between doing the FT (I've only got 1 and would like to roll it BUT I don't trust them!) and hoping for the "Rafa effect".

Very little between the two tbh - Sunderland have won the last few derbies but, obviously, this could mean Newcastle are "due". And there could be a significant tightening by Newcastle.

        Both have kind fixtures, too.

I'd be marginally more keen on PvA because the next fixture is WBA at home whereas Newcastle are away at Norwich, who can (as we saw vs. City) play it tight at the back.

Benching Arnie this GWK and thinking of captaining Siggy - either of those too mad?

Front 7 with Arnie on Bench:

I have £4.2m ITB and 2 free transfers, but can't think of anything to do...

I'm sat just outside the top 3k, any advice would be much appreciated!!

      Hennessey
      Williams -- Alderweireld -- Fuchs
      Siggy -- Arnautovic -- Mahrez -- Alli
      Aguero -- Vardy -- Kane

      Butland -- Payet -- Cathcart -- Koscielny

i really dont like gw33 wc cause my team will look so ugly without those lei and spurs players

thining that 9 dgwers+ triple C combinated with good gw 35 and 36 could get possibly more pts than wc team

also i have 5 ,,core'' players already ( Aguero,Firmino,Payet,Ozil and Kompany)

would like to have Lukaku,DDG and ARS defender and that's about it

i am not excited about other dgw options

as for dgw 37 fixures looks much better on papper

shame that i am scared and might will be forced to pull wc in 33 like everyone else 🙁

Gw37 has more risky on rotation, otherwise I would've waited until then.

Yep, so you are more likely to have players rotated in GW37 from the dregs left from a GW33 WC team than you are from a specifically selected side from a GW36 WC (when you should have a good idea of the teams that are more/less likely to rotate).

This can be mitigated though tbf. We can pick players who won't be rotated easily even in GW37. Injuries/suspensions are another matter though. Those could ruin our plans a bit

Kompany is injured and probably won't be back for 34.

Nothing wrong with WCing in 33 and keeping 3 TOT/LEI players. I'll be keeping Mahrez, Alli and Fuchs myself.

This wildcard thing is so incredibly difficult. My team is set perfectly for GW35 - triple Spurs, triple Leic, triple Arsenal if I get Bellerin this week. Don't want to ruin it but I have only 5 DGW34 players as it stands and no spare cash without selling Alexis!

if you have 5 now, that means you can probably get about 9 for the double without hits, right? And you already have Sanchez who could be a fantastic option for the TC.

        You definitely have options here

Yeah if I get Bellerin I have 5, to replace Kompany. Think I will and keep my options open rather than getting Williams for a punt.
