Many of the community’s double Gameweek plans were being hastily rewritten as a result of the red-hot form shown by the likes of Harry Kane and Riyad Mahrez. Our hot topic posters chart their u-turns and second thoughts over the potential use of Fantasy Premier League chips and wildcards, while our community articles section turns its attention to the most consistent and explosive captaincy options. Rafa Benitez’s revolution at Newcastle comes under the spotlight in our Members tables and we also reveal who are leading the way in our community leagues.

The Community Articles

Captaincy candidates for the impending double Gameweeks came under the watchful eye of TM245 this week. His analysis of the best midfield and forward candidates for the triple captaincy chip is a must read as the community makes its plans for the upcoming extended fixture list. The FPL veterans, being tracked by Kavali, will be among those keeping a watchful eye on the best options over the next few Gameweeks as they continue their long march to respectability.

Meanwhile, the World T20 Fantasy game entered its third phase this week and Moin was on hand to offer his advice.

Don’t forget, if you’ve got some analysis, scout reports or features brewing, be sure to visit our community section to submit your article.

The Hottest Topics

Double gameweek planning continues to dominate discussion but, ponders Andy85wsm, is the chance to play 15 players with two fixtures in Gameweek 34 clouding our judgement?

Ditching in-form single Gameweek 34 players such as Kane could prove potential blunders, according to Lightbody’s discussion on double Gameweeks. The Kane captainers featured in our Gameweek 31 rough with the smooth will certainly be having second thoughts about jettisoning the Spurs man after he brought them a 32-point FPL haul. Southampton’s in-form striker Graziano Pelle is another single Gameweeker that is upsetting the community’s double Gameweek plans, according to Irish Madridsta.

There were plenty more torn-up double Gameweek plans when we asked whether Fantasy managers were having second thoughts about going all out with 15 players in Gameweek 34. In addition, the news that Everton and Crystal Palace have a double Gameweek 33 also forced a few hasty rewrites.

RoysCallerAnne has endured the roughest of seasons but is hoping the double Gameweeks can bring him some much-needed joy. Instead of opting for popular Gameweek 34 picks such as Sergio Aguero, he is on a mission to create a potential rankings-boosting differential squad.
Later in the week NickofOz served up Newcastle’s Alexsandar Mitrovic as a potential target for those looking for a double Gameweek punt.

Our more creative community members have also been busy constructing online tools to help Fantasy managers get their thoughts together and select the best players. Jossy’s double Gameweek gadget can be found here, while Twisted Saltergater is another to put his online skills to good use.

Whether looking for a good punt for Gameweek 32 or a double Gameweek player on a wildcard Evs warns against picking players from teams with nothing to play for and are more interested in making summer holiday plans.

Members Tables

For those looking to keep a close eye on Rafa Benitez’s chances of retaining Premier League status for Newcastle SixtySeven has created a table tracking their key players. This has an open filter allowing for comparisons between pre- and post-Benitez era Magpies.

Before investing in a striker for the up coming double Gameweeks Members are urged to look at Balders’ latest table, looking at those who are at risk of losing out in FPL’s bonus point system.

If you’re a member and are yet to get to grips with the custom statistics tables, you can view this movie for an explanation of how they work. Also, remember to tag them so that people can find the tables with ease.

In addition, with blanks and double Gameweeks now here it is wise to sort by matches rather than Gameweeks to give a fairer gauge of form.

The Community Tournaments

Jarvish’s Frequent Posters Cup reaches the last 16 stage in Gameweek 32 with iCon, Ayew Serious and Pompeyfan among those to emerge victorious from the previous round in Gameweek 31.

In the Top 10k Any Season league, Ralf Buckenmaier has regained the lead and also reached 99th in the overall FPL rankings, while Nial Akata continues to lead the January to May League. Both these competitions are organised by Red Lightning.

The top five in the FFScout moderators and contributors league stayed the same after Gameweek 1, which means Andy remains at the summit, keeping second placed Evs at bay once again.

In TorresMagic’s Last Man Standing the safety score was 79, which saw 46 players depart and 128 remain.

If you are running a community tournament and would like the latest scores included in future Community Round Ups please email me a brief summary of the current leaders and a link to your league, spread sheet or head to head competition, at jonty@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Ok, so this might sound like a 'stupid' question but if people are wild-carding this week in order to play a chip in 33 won't your team for 32 be a bit messed up , I.E to much Liverpool in 32 ?

    Thanks !

Considering double LEI for (SOT sun WHM SWA). Can definitely see ~3 CS in there.

    Too much?

Spread the risk with Newcastle defender who obviously have an extra game in hand.

Opinions welcomed please.

Cabaye and Barkley haven't scored decent fpl points in ages.

How about considering Antonio and Wijnaldum?

Ayoze or Mitrovic for GW 34?

Is it worth taking a gamble on Cabaye for GW 33 with a transfer hit(-4 points)?

    Any words would be appreciated.Thanks!
