Fantasy Football Scout – Paddy Power Cup – Entry Still Open

Just a final reminder that we launched the first Fantasy Football Scout cup competition – the Paddy Power Cup, earlier this week. Gameweek 12 is the qualifying round for the tournament with the top scoring 1020 managers (our previous 4 winners automatically qualify) progressing to the first round proper.

Entry is free, there are prizes for the top three placing’s and you can enter via our form right here. You should receive email confirmation of your entry once submitted, but you can also check that your entry has been successful via this list. If you have any issues with your entry, please email akers@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Good luck to those who enter. We will post full details of the qualifiers once the gameweek ends on Tuesday, with the first round draw following later next week.

  Kompany and Brown are great picks this week. Can't see Enrique getting a CS, but he may grab an assist. No need to make any transfers, although Bosingwa -> P Jones or Wilkinson (fairly nailed on IMO and will help if you could do with the extra $) are both decent trades. You can then bench Enrique this week.

    a) there aren't many defenders I want in that would replace Wilko, Woody and Brown this week (McAuley and P Jones the only possible ones), and
    
    b) it gives more flexibility for next week in case Rooney finds some form or I get a few injuries.
    
    Only taken 1 points hit this year - think I'd had about 8 by this stage last season!

        I was going to suggest, ChoppaToni too if you want spend .8 extra.
        
        Yes WBA don't rotate well at all with SWN, LIV, NEW SUN defs: it's something like a 4:1 rotation. It's slightly negated by playing Enrique most of the time so at least I'll have one home defender and one "caviar" defender on the go.

  depends on how bad you want chelsea cover, but i think you could do better than sturridge for your 3rd striker.
  
  chelsea's fixtures aren't the best over the next 8-9 GWs, and sturridge's "ultimatum" about playing in the center (and thus complicating AVB's plans to play torres there) won't do him any selection favors, especially with malouda back fit.
  
  you could look to bendtner, klasnic, etc., thus freeing up space to do something about ruddy or one of your 6.0 neighborhood midfielders.

any further transfers will cost 4 points - not entirely thrilled with suarez/sturridge but don't think there are any options who'll pay back the transfer fee.

Any last minute suggestions? I appreciate the Verminator is a risk, but I am chasing in my leagues. I don't mind doubling up on the spurs mids up until the DGW and Jan WC.

    Haha I guess so. I made the mistake of thinking the Scout picks was supposed to be a serious attempt to help those less knowledgable have an insight into the best prospects for the week, as opposed to a sort of "Mystic Meg" it might happen one day if your luck is in sort of approach.

Got the task of sorting the mess that is my defence.

shawcross, walker, enrique, simpson, boyata.

Got 2 free transfers this week. Not planning on doing anything next week to roll over again. Plan is Enrique out for Brown. Worth sorting Boyata out this week for a decent sub, as i will be left with Simpson and B.Johnson on my pine? Or change him next week with the option of changing 1 of my front 8 if need be?

    The reason im looking at shipping Enrique is i just don't think they will pick that many clean sheets in the next few. If need be, will maybe get Agger at a latter date if Liverpool coverage is needed.

  Are you sure you want to get rid of Jose? Why not stick him on the bench for a bit and do Walker to Brown seeing as you have 3 Tott already. Then maybe Boyota to McAuley who has 3/4 home games too.
