After assessing the Defence and Midfield numbers over the last four matches, we turn our attentions to up front this evening. A number of double Gameweek options arrive under analysis, including Everton, City and Newcastle’s main men, whilst we also compare Arsenal and United’s strikers and doff our cap to Tottenham’s man of the moment after a series of scintillating displays.

Opinions please on this gw32 WC:

    Ddg, Elliot
    Bellerin, Dann, Clyne, Jagielka, Olsson
Ozil, Payet, Coutinho, Barkley, Bolasie(will become Wijnaldum for Gw34)
    Aguero, Lukaku, Deeney

Gw33 - 5 dgw players and Lukaku TC,
    Gw34 - 15 dgw players and BB,
    Gw35 - 10 players,
    Gw37 - 11 dgw players.

I personally would get Simpson instead of Olsson, I know he has a double but you can play him in 35, which makes the amount of players you have playing in total 34 and 35 equal. 15X2 + 10= 40 or 14X2+1 +11 = 40

Olsson plays Gw34 I guess, if not I am down to 9 then 🙁

oh my bad I forgot he had a game 35, i personally still prefer Simpson. Other options include Lascelles for Newcastle (2 home games 34)

I'd get Delaney for Dann and upgrade Olsson for someone, maybe Creswell?

Needed a West Brom defender as they play gw35. Also have plans to make Dann to Azpi in gw 35. Dann is actually there for two dgws and as a placeholder.

Coiuld be gold, or you could come to regret having no Mahrez or Kane. But going without them could be a shrewd move. Don't particularly like Olsson or Dann though, don't think they will be worth it.

Can't keep Kane due to high price or it will ruin the wildcard... And don't know who to drop among the mids for Mahrez. Source of points in Dgws are sometimes very unpredictable.

Okay, cracked it I think. I can get Sanchez in for DGW 34 and then Sturridge for my punt.

    Come down to this

    A) Simpson + Sanchez up to GW 35
    + [Creswell for GW 36 & 38]

    B) Bellerin + Mahrez up to GW 35
    + [Bellerin for GW 36 & 38]

    Cheers

    My team plan:

    33 - 4 DGW players
    34 - 11 DGW players + Alexis TC
    35 - 11 players
    37 - 15 DGW players with BB

I'm happy with the players I have with. My only concern having no Man Utd attacking players for GW 34.

Most of the people around here won't have United attack as they can't be trusted... I personally am going without...

Just one concern with BB37 I have is, rotation might kick in at that stage if the league is done and dusted.

Yeah I agree there is a risk of rotation with not too many teams with fixture congestion around that time I don't see a mass of players rested when there is nothing to rest them for.

That's the problem with wcing for 34, to take advantage of the ostensible purpose you have to ship good players you've got value tied up in and that you'll regret not having in 35

Losing value at this stage of the season shouldn't be much of a worry IMO.

Current plan………………feel free to shoot me down!

WC in GW33 - giving me 3 x DGW players
    BB in GW34 - giving me 12 x DGW players (plus Huth/Mahrez/Kane)

    DDG - Robles
    Bellerin - Huth - Rojo - Coleman - Sakho
    Firmino - Payet - Mahrez - Silva - Ozil
    Lukaku - Sturridge - Kane

Use 2FT to get 11 players out in GW35
Use 2FT to have 9 DGW players in GW37 and use TC

The only downside I can see to this team is no Aguero (his replacement is glass legs Danny but I'm willing to gamble on this)

Unless I am missing something obvious?

Bench boosting Huth Mahrez and Kane seems pretty meh to me.

I bet you've had a bench of players with better chances for points loads of times this season

too risky for me personally - much as I want to admire the sturridge punt

13 doubles minimum for a start - why even use your bench boost when only your keeper will be on a double? there have been better fixtures in single weeks when you could have used it

is Huth (6 or 2 points every week, never gets bonus, unless he scores two goals) really going to outscore ward or delaney over 2 games compared to four. You are essentially backing him to get two clean sheets IN A ROW. Given those two will get 8 points just from stepping out on the field those four matches.

Lose one of Huth/Mahrez/Kane - and live a little

Yes this is a GREAT potential 35 side - but you are exposed to a lot of players on the double

        • 11 Years

Agree with this - if bench boost in GW34, I think it's better to go all in from GW33, and get rid 2 out of Hut Mahrez Kane. I'm leaning towards BB in GW37 as a better option, as it is much less risky to go without Mahrez and Kane by then (see my post below)

Two Everton in defence is too much for me. Coleman doesn't score like he used to. That is an example of overpriced asset.

And I don't like teams without Aguero

Every Gw33 WC I make underwhelms me. I hate the idea of losing Kane, Mahrez, Alli, Simpson et al for GW35 and keeping them makes a GW34 Bench Boost seem pointless.

The only players I would want to bring in for Gw35 to get 11 out would be Chelsea players, but even that is tricky.

After a really good few months of FPL, I'm very uncertain what il do....

it's a tricky one granted - but my rule in fantasy is always this

      form over fixtures
plan at least three games in advance
      always cover your bases

      oh...

UNLESS IT'S A DOUBLE GAMEWEEK IN WHICH CASE GAMBLE... GAMBLE EVERYTHING

the reward is just too much to potentially miss out on...

    Good evening, all!
Been on holiday, and only this evening started toying with my WC plans. Of course tempted to WC this week to allow Lukaku triple captain, but I'd like to wait one more week before wildcarding, and also allows a better team for GW32. But then my dilemma is that I fancy GW34 triple captain with Özil or Sanchez more than available options in GW37. Hence I'm toying with the idea of wildcarding GW33, triple captain Sancehz in GW34 and BB in GW37.

    Pros:
    - Sanchez triple captain in GW34 most explosive option if not TC'ing Lukaku in GW32
    - Makes it easier to keep Mahrez and Kane for longer
    - Possible to field 11 quality DGW'ers in GW34 without getting in crap players or players with rotation threat
    - Easier to deal with GW35

    Cons:
    - No triple captaining Lukaku in GW32 (.. or Payet in GW37??)
    - Several weeks between WC and BB makes plan vulnerable to injuries

Have put up following provisional WC33 team for this plan:

    GW34:
    Mignolet
    Bellerin - Monreal - Sakho - Rojo
    San(ccc)hez - Lallana - Lanzini - Barkley
    Aguero - Lukaku

Bench; Ruddy - Simpson - Mahrez - Kane

Havne't gone through all needed transfers between gW34 an GW37, but what do you reckon, is it sound thinking?

    1. Krul Runnings
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 8 months ago

      Hmmm.

You might be onto something here. Main issue I guess is by GW37 some teams/ most teams will have nothing to play for and rotation could be huge.

Will have a think about this strategy though

      1. Pompel
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

Thanks Krul - GW37 also a risk in tems of rotation surely, so be sure to pick nailed on players. But on the flip side, it's also difficult to filed 15 nailed on quality DGW'ers in GW34 within limited budget.

    2. Belalugozi78
      • Fantasy Football Scout Member

I like the strategy and frankly I was thinking the same. Main pro is Sanchez TC as the best option I can see. In 33 and 37 there is no one who has potentially better fixtures.

But the problem is the process to collect decent players for 37 and without hits you won't have more than 11. It means your BB would have to take 4 single players

      1. Pompel
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 8 months ago

Yup, have to look closer at that. I'll keep Sanchez regardless for GW38 vs AVL. But Simpson to Kirchhoff could help, and then I could use the 4 FT's to ship Kane, Mahrez, Bellerin and Monreal.

      • 16 Years

Big issue: Arsenal have (AVL) in GW38. You'll really want 3 players for that. Carrying them through GW37 is ugly as they have (mci)
