    Hmm..

    Simpson or Mahrez this week?

Not sure if I can bench Bellerin after getting so many attacking returns (and ownership!) in the last few weeks..

He's not gonna get a goal/assist every week. Bench him.

Yeah, Mahrez has gotta start.. Ye are right.

Still undecided on banking on Bellerin's attack or Simpson's defence.. But thanks for the thoughts all!

I'm really struggling to fit Payet into my team.

While brushing my teeth this morning I had a thought that I could have Payet+Firmino (already have Coutinho), instead of KDB + Milner.

That does sound better in isolation but it means a -4 in GW35 to get rid of Payet to then bring him back in GW37. Not even sure who I'd want to bring in for him.

Just thinking of that actually....helps to think out loud 🙂

Maybe I could offload Smalling for someone instead and bench Lanzini/Payet/Lukaku.

Still means a -4 though as I'd need to offload Delaney and Smalling. And no, Delaney stays 😉

I wouldn't consider this terrible after the blank:

            Leicester (h)
            Norwich (a) / West Ham (a)
            Bournemouth (h)

Leicester is a tough, tough game.

Norwich and West Ham will both be cup finals away from home (in terms of relegation fight and CL fight respectively)

Bournemouth (H) looks like a nice fixture, but for 6.5ish million, I think you'd be overspending on a United defender after the DGW34 just for the sake of GW38 against a team that might even score....

Not terrible, but when you include the blank 35, they're definitely poor.

                I'd look at it as...

We've been decent enough at home. The reverse fixture with Leicester was very tight and that was back when they were scoring a lot.

A defender with a double without having to make another transfer. Albeit not a fantastic one, I'd still hope for something from Norwich at least.

                Then Bournemouth.

And with KDB+Milner the blank doesn't matter as I can bench Smalling. Plus I'm 4 points better off!

It's tough to explain exactly why I don't think Payet is an option for me....the plan is on a spreadsheet and in my brain basically 🙂

Just trying to think out loud on here. Not sure if Payet is worth a -4 or 10 men in GW35 which is what it ultimately comes down too.

That's even if Firmino is fit!

As someone with both Lanzini and Payet, I think he may be one of the very few players worth a hit at this stage.. his form is undeniable and his ownership is growing.. The blank in 35 is a headache and a half though.

I'm in a similar position with
                        Coleman
                        Lukaku
                        Klose
                        Lanzini
                        Payet
                        Ruddy

and only 1FT to use.. meaning I'll probably be doing something like Coleman + Lukaku -> Gabriel + Sturridge for a hit.

                        Here's the next problem then....

If this is my team in GW35

                        Darlow
                        Bellerin - Gabriel - Sakho
                        Sanchez - Firmino - Coutinho
                        Aguero - Mitrovic

                        Blanks = Robles - Smalling - Delaney - Lanzini - Payet

Who do I even hit for? 🙂 Smalling+Delaney to Azpilicueta+Kirchoff?

Go with 10?! Argh! Payet is a real headache for me when for others he's a must have.

                        I'd 100% lose Delaney + Smalling anyways.
West Ham have a good GW37 offensively and I really wouldn't expect much rotation for those two mids of yours..

Not sure who you'd get in, Kirchhoff is a good shout, Klose is another (with a decent DGW37).. you could then get another premium defender (Fuchs in championship-winning party form? Alderweireld? Ivanovic/Azpi?) in for Smalling..

Lots to happen before that comes into play though 😀 I'll be jealous of Smalling in DGW34..

          Keep Everton assets
          Keep pool assets
          Keep Wham assets
You need to think about Chelsea/Sunderland then from there
          Azpi/Defoe/Costa/Pva could be targets Andy.

Why is it a waste? 🙂

I'll have 8 players playing in GW37 and 2 free transfers over GW36+37 to make that 10, including Payet coming in.

                  Ok gottcha,
It's the Milner/Bola move that's blocking him really based on funds I take it,
Maybe your right this way but there's a -4 in there too I take it so it's swings and roundabouts,
You could find a way just to go Sanchez/Kdb/Cout/Payet/Lanzini and if you still want to punt on Bola this week use Cout/Payet as the placeholder,(ie Bola > Pool mid) Cout preferably as this allows you to see if Firminho (8.1) is back and just play 3 mids in 35, benching both Wham guys in prep for 37.

I'm nowhere near being able to afford - Sanchez/Kdb/Cout/Payet/Lanzini unfortuantely.

It would have to be KDB to step out for Payet then I could upgrade Milner to Firmino.

Bolasie isn't really the issue, although he is taking up a transfer I suppose.

If I'm honest Andy, your prob trying to squeeze too much into that midfield,
I'd lose Kdb before Payet, you could just go double pool mid now or again bola this week then Firminho in next,
Cut your cloth to suit Andy.

Payet should be the first name on the team. He has to be there one way or another. Much prefer him to KDB personally. Maybe a hit in 35 won't be too bad ...

Payet owned by 31%, KDB by 5%

Two ways of looking at that. KDB won't hurt as much not owning him. KDB will potentially get me up the rankings quicker...

I'm one of the brave (read: stupid) souls who is going with Lanzini over Payet.

Genuinely think they have the same potential output between now and the end of the season and if so, then Payet isn't worth the extra £3.1m to get him.

I may be wrong, but that's my gamble.

I'm going Lanzini either way. Getting Payet would mean a West Ham double up.

I don't think Lanzini is a straight replacement for Payet really, but he's still a good option and as you say, for 3.1m less maybe worth it

I've managed to pick a squad of 15 that has:

          2 DGW players for GW33
          13 DGW players for GW34
10 players with a fixture in GW35 but 2 FTs by this point to make that up to 11.

Then, if I play my cards right) I could still end up with 10 DGW players for GW37 with no hit.

Good teams to focus on for this week: Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool. All have a fixture in GW35.You could consider keeping Kane and/or Mahrez (a lot are) and they also have decent fixtures in GW35.

          Good luck.

              Hart, Robles
              Bellerin, Gabriel, Rojo, Sakho, Morgan
              Sanchez, KDB, Coutinho, Lingard, Lanzini
              Aguero, Kane, Lukaku

              GW 34 - save transfer
GW35 - use one free to do Rojo -> Saints defender (playing the mighty Villa)
              GW36 - 2FTs: Aguero -> Costa/Sturridge and bring a United defender back in (Smalling?)
              GW37 - Bellerin -> Azpilicueta
GW38 - Costa -> Welbeck (playing the mighty Villa) 😛

Obvious risks with United defender but on the whole I'm relatively pleased.

    Good morning!

Getting all carried away with WC'ing for GW34, although my OR s*cks and still will after GW34!

Coming to the conclusion I'll limit myself to two Liverpool players. Reason is the possible need space to bring Sturridge in before DGW37 for triple captaining (not taking the risk for DGW34). Anyone else thinking the same?

    Two questions:

    1. How big is rotation risk in GW34 for:
    A) Rojo (50%?)
    B) Darmian (25%?)
    C) Mensah (90%?)
(0% means he'll play both, 100% means he won't play at all)

    2. Keep Kane or get Martial?

      1) The only defender worth getting from Man U is Smalling, or De Gea. Every one else is a serious rotation risk.

      2) I got rid of Kane for Martial this week. A risk, but the fixtures and the possibility of Martial going on a run is worth it.

      Looks good.

      - I'm not a huge fan of two weak keepers, but I see the appeal in the value it gives to the rest of your team 🙂
      - I think Lanzini is more likely to play both games than Rashford and arguably has a better points potential.
      - Mitrovic is my third forward if I decide to sell Kane. He is on good form at the moment and seems a great punt.

That is the main issue when getting Hart over DDG. Easier to do DDG + Darlow 😀

Well i am looking at MCI defense, but nothing seems appealing ... Clichy can get a rest for one game after CL, Mangala is the only bet, but a rotation worry at 5.3 on wc? No thanks.

What big downgrades are you making which you're hoping don't cost you too many points. My 3 ones are:

    Payet > Lanzini
    Bellerin > Gabriel
Martial > Rashford (out in GW35)

    Leaves me with:

    DDG/Darlow
    Smalling/Jags/Gabriel/Delaney/Simpson
    Alexis/KDB/Ozil/Coutinho/Lanzini
    Kun/Lukaku/Rashford

Could be genius, could be a disaster. When Rashford nets his inevitable brace in GW34 I'm sure I'll be feeling pretty smooth!

he's a good option for benching boosting sides that week, I'll give you that.

Is he nailed on though? 2 games in quick succession, not long back from injury....I wouldn't be so sure! 😉

              Doos seems to think so..

And I'd argue that after so long out of the team, he needs way less of a rest than anyone else 😉

in my own personal opinion, I think Lanzini is destined for great things. Payet has stolen the spotlight (alá Ozil) but Lanzini plays like a more lethal version of Cazorla for someone so young.. Bilic agreed with me over dinner last night.

Liking your defense and GK combo! Hart + Robles makes GW33-35 really smooth
Would downgrade Clyne and upgrade Özil to Sanchez.

People who are going to WC 36 and BB 37, I thought I'm the one...

Are you planning to have 15 dgw players ?

Cool to have 3x players from below teams as they have nice GW38 fixtures
    MU (BOU)
    Everton (NOR)
    West Ham (sto)
    Liverpool (wba)

Problem is we may miss some City and Arsenal cover for 38 with their good fixtures as well.

More I look at it, the more I definitely expect Gibbs to play one of the doubles in 34

I really dont think he will take Monreals place.

I don't think he will. Monreal has been first choice and nailed on since the start of the season.

Still think Bellerin & Gabiel will play 180 minutes.

Gibbs can play in midfield, mind you

Hi, I'm set for 15 x DGW BB in GW34 but wondering which are my weak links that I could still put right. Who's least nailed-on for 2 games?

    DDG, Cech
Bellerin, Clyne, Sakho, Rojo, Funes Mori
    Ozil, KDB, Firmino, Shelvey, Lennon
    Aguero, Lukaku, Mitrovic

    What would you change?

    thanks 🙂

    Robles Mignolet
    Bellerin Gabriel Simpson Mangala Sahko
    Sanchez KdB Payet Lanzini Coutinho
    Aguero Martial Lukaku

Does it need Man United def?
I like the idea if Man City def. Mangala or Hart ?
    Is Dann worth a punt?
