How does this look gents? Bare in mind no BB available.

    Robles - Darlow
    Smalling - Clyne - Gabriel - Delaney - Simpson
Sanchez - De Bruyne - Ozil - Coutinho - Mahrez
    Aguero - Lukaku - Rashford

10 for GW35 already so no worries there.

    Kun Luk Martial

      Cech
      Clichy - Bellerin - Sakho - Simps - Clyne
      Alexis - Cout - Mahrez
      Aguero - Pelle

      Martial > Pelle
      Delaney > Clyne

So did some tweaking since yesterday, still not over the moon with my defence but have added an extra GW35 player....0.1 ITB, let me know what you think...

    Robles / Darlow
    Bellerin / Sahko / Delaney / Moreno / Simpson
    Ozil / Sanchez / Payet / Coutinho / Lanzini
    Aguero / Lukaku / Martial

  16. megabunch

Let's talk goalkeepers for a moment.....

Seems the Robles / Darlow combination is very popular for it's cheapness and the fact that it's an enabler. But do people think it will really be successful given how bad both teams defences are?

Do people think Robles/Darlow will out-do a premium keeper and cheapie pairing?

I think I am going to go with De Gea and Robles as my pairing but I am also tempted to downgrade Robles to Darlow and make the most of the extra cash in defence..

Just wondered which pairing people think has the highest likelehood of doing well when you take GW33 (Everton double), GW34 (Everton and Man U double) and GW35 - blank for all except Darlow.

    A) Robles / Darlow and get a better defender and Darlow for GW35 blank.
    B) De Gea and Robles and buy a cheaper defender. No goalkeeper at allfor GW35

Would love to hear your thoughts on which goalkeeper setup you are going with....

Robles/Darlow as Robles has 3 doubles and 2 home fixtures!

Robles/ Darlow is cheap. They have 2 doubles on the week when I will be playing BB so they cover everything in that respect plur Robles covers the later DGW. But I am under no illusions that they are both part of poor defences and they could be easily outscored by SGW players. They do get 2 bites at the cherry though and you never know.

going for cheapest option and better defenders as gk can always get save points

eg Robles and smalling or ddg and jagielka. Robles should make more saves and smalling might get some bps. if jags concedes no bps likely. oh I don't know !

      1. Ziegler1988

Having a low TV the Robles / Darlow combo was pretty much a must for me, I would find it very difficult to get a decent team otherwise

On a wildcard, I started with Robles and Hart, but then I double checked eve's fixtures, double, double, blank, BOU, double, NOR.

I'm more than happy to play Robles in 5 of the next 6 gameweeks, so why pay big bucks for another keeper, esp DDG who doesn't even play when Robles blanks! Darlow is dirt cheap, nailed on, has a double in 34 when I'll BB and plays the week robles blanks. Not to mention the good I can do with the extra cash on the rest of my team!

      Robles Darlow definitely for me

I went DDG/Darlow last week. Spent most of the season getting crap returns from my goalkeepers so going to stick with the team with the most cleanies

Screw it going with my initial Instincts and 11DGW in 34 with Trip Captain
    &
    14/15DGW in 37
Makes GW33 WC selection so much easier and less worried about transfers as most are made just need to transfer in 3 players instead of 4

Scoutcast missed the main point about Barkley.
Main reason his recent stats have been so poor was due to Barry being suspended, forcing Barkley into a deeper role
