The EA Sports PPI figures are available and the Fantasy Premier League have updated the game with the bonus points – nice and early. With one game remaining in the gameweek, here’s a simple breakdown of how the points map out…

Everton 2 Wolves 1
Jagielka 3, Baines 2, Hunt 1

Phil Jagielka claims the maximum then – a surprise perhaps, given that Leighton Baines chipped in with an assist and the crucial winner from the spot. The Press Association data may well have recorded some impressive defensive statistics for the centre-back – we’ll look into that further with our Scout article over at the FPL later. As expected, Stephen Hunt sneaked in for the single bonus point here – he saw off Everton’s John Heitinga by just one PPI point.

Stoke 2 QPR 3
Helguson 3, Young 2, Mackie 1

QPR dominate the rankings, with Heidar Helguson recording the highest PPI score of the gameweek with 52. Luke Young’s fine goal has him capture the two bonus, with Jamie Mackie earning the single bonus for his assist – nudging ahead of Stoke’s Ryan Shawcross by just a single PPI point.

Norwich 1 Arsenal 2
Van Persie 3, Gervinho 2, Santos 1

Robin Van Persie again claims the three bonus points – no real surprise there. Gervinho fetches the two, presumably off the back of a string of on target goal attempts that boosted his PPI score. The single bonus point for Andre Santos is an even bigger surprise; the left-back was a full 5 PPI points ahead of Theo Walcott – presumably with a string of impressive PA stats to back it up. Again, this is something we’ll explore further in our Scout article.

Man City 3 Newcastle 1
Richards 3, Aguero 2, Clichy 1

Micah Richards collects the maximum as expected, with Sergio Aguero earning the two for his goal and assist contribution. Gael Clichy’s inclusion, with a single bonus point, is perhaps unexpected; he edged out Mario Balotelli by a single bonus point. We discussed in last night’s ICT analysis how Clichy’s array of defensive stats could see him figure – that appears to have been the factor at play here.

Sunderland 0 Fulham 0
Hangeland & Cattermole 3, O’Shea, Bendtner & Murphy 1

As always with a 0-0 scoreline, the breakdown of EA PPI points in this game was incredibly close. Both Fulham’s Brede Hangeland and Sunderland’s Lee Cattermole shared the maximum by virtue of PPI scores of 16. Three players were just a point behind on 15 – Niclas Bendtner, Danny Murphy and John O’Seah all shared a single bonus point.

West Brom 2 Bolton 1
Shorey 3, Long 2, Thomas 1

We mentioned last night how Nicky Shorey was the most creative player on show in the gameweek according to our ICT Index figures. It seems that his supply from left-back was a factor in sealing t the top PPI score and maximum bonus from this game. Goalscorers Shane Long and Jerome Thomas were left in his wake, picking up the remaining bonus points. Bolton’s Ivan Klasnic missed out by 5 PPI points.

Wigan 3 Blackburn 3
Yakubu 3, Hoilett 2, Caldwell & Crusat 1

Blackburn’s Yakubu was streets ahead in terms of PPI in this game, claiming the three bonus points by a 15 PPI point margin. Team-mate Junior Hoilett can closest to denying him – he collected the two, with the single bonus point being shared by two Wigan scorers – Gary Caldwell and sub Albert Crusat.

Swansea 0 Man United 1
Hernandez 3, Ferdinand 2, Vidic 1

It’s no surprise to see Javier Hernandez top the PPI rankings with his goal at the Liberty stadium proving decisive in Saturday’s game. United’s centre-back pairing ranked next in the PPI list – with Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand presumably racking up some impressive defensive statistics to help United to a third consecutive clean sheet. Again, we’ll break this down further in our Scout article later today.

Chelsea 1 Liverpool 2
Johnson 3, Rodriguez 2, Bellamy 1

Glen Johnson acquired an impressive PPI tally of 36 to come out on top in this game by a 7 point margin. Maxi Rodrigquez was his nearest rival, with Craig Bellamy nudging Charlie Adam out of the remaining bonus point by just a single PPI point. Similarly, centre-back pairing Dan Agger and Martin Skrtel, were just a couple of PPI points off bonus recognition in the 2-1 win.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Already got a response from the late-night crowd. Need yours 😀

Dilemma here: (Going to remove Gabby & Nani)

    Which option?

    A. Helguson + Lamps
    Total PPG = 5.9 + 7.0 = 12.9;
    Total Form = 7.0 + 5.5 = 12.5;
Total Value (season) = 7.9 + 6.0 = 13.9 (but helguson has played half the matches)

    B. Roo + Walters/Drenthe/Larsson
    Total PPG = 6.8 + 4.8 (Walters) = 11.6;
    Total Form = 2.5 + 5.0 = 7.5;

    Total Value (season) = 6.2 + 9.0 = 15.2

I have no doubts about Roonpig. But I'm considering getting him in by GW15, when his fixtures are heavenly and as you say, he would have hit goal-scoring form. Fancy Helguson & Lamps to wreak havoc next week.

Btw, I'm aiming at this team by GW15:

        Vorm Ruddy
        Caulker Brown Wilko Enrique Simpson
        VDV Silva Lamps Johnson Moses
        RVP Roo Helguson

I just don't want Helguson, I know that it seems incredibly stupid but I just don't lol.

I'm probably going to get Larsson in this week, although I might have to change Begovic 🙁

Haha it’s just that I see this chap wreaking havoc against Nor, more than RVP/Roo/Lamps at home. He’s scored against City, Che & Villa, all more than decent teams. Assist against TOT too. Next 2 GWs atleast look solid – Nor & Wba.

I know I’m not doing a favor to myself my publicizing this little beauty, but I ain’t competing with any of you. So it doesn’t matter 😀

So tell me, do you not want this season’s Andy Carroll?

With a score of 39 - just 5 pts above the worldwide average for the week - and VDV (or 5 pts from Sturridge on my bench) and Adebayor still to come I'm anxiously wondering whether I still stand a chance of qualifying for the FFS Cup.

Have Mark or any of the other admins hinted at what the cut-off looks like being as yet?

If that's correct I stand a chance as only 11.2% own Ade and 17.1% own VDV.

Of course, if most of those owners are entered in the qualifying round I'm probably sunk 🙁

    My current team:

    Westwood / (Vorm)
    Baines / Jones / Brown / (Wilkinson) / (NTaylor)
Lampard (vc) / Silva / Bale / Ramsey / (NDyer)
    RVP (c) / Adebayor / Bendtner

I have 1 FT this week, should I swap Ramsey out for a mid for £5m & below and then next week I can do Ade > Hernandez or Bale > Nani to get some Man Utd coverage?

    Team for next gw is;

    Given
    Enrique Shawcross Brown
    VdV Silva Brunt Moses
    RvP Rooney Sturridge

    Subs: Ben Arfa Ward Simpson

1.6 in bank. Happy with my team really apart from midfield. Will be keeping VdV, Silva and Brunt anyway. Ben Arfas fixtures turn good after next two gws and he looked sharp in last game. And well then there's Moses!

Will probably get rid of Moses this week. I can afford to get a mid up to 6.2. Im thinking of either Sinclair or Sessegnon. Will probably go for Sinclair in the end. Just not sure when Victor is gonna drop in price. Anyone got any ideas/opinions? Thanks!

ben arfa did look promising, only issue i can see is over december when there's lots of games how many will he start?
although sess actually got his points this season from the wing i wonder if he played attacking mid/support striker yesterday. elmohamady in the team suggests he did i think, and could stay there until wickham is back which is a few weeks yet.
like so many players (e.g baines) that sincalir v sess dilemma will probably depend on how many penalties swansea get

I guess Pardew does have the luxury of being able to bring in someone like Best or Amoebi if Ben Arfa is unfit or needs a rest but I'd be willign to take the chance on him anyway! Will see what happens over next few games.

Strange that Sess doesnt score when he plays up top! I thnik he was playing as a second striker yesterday alright. Still though, we know he can score and hast hat eye for goal!

I'm thinking of replacing Rooney with a cheaper striker and spending the money elsewhere. Options are:

    A) Helguson
    B) Klasnic
    C) Klasnic
    D) Yakubu
    E) Ba

Thoughts? Anyone I've missed who I should be considering?

    Vorm/ Krul

    Simpson/ Woodgate/ P.jones/Enrique/ De laet

    Silva/ VDV/ Drenthe/ Pilkington/ Walters

RVP (c)/ Aguero/ Bendtner... 1.2 in the bank..

    Problems for the week...

1-- Woodgate and De Laet... in case woodgate is fit, i may as well save my trade this week and play him along with Jones and Enrique... or, even if Woodgate is fit i might bring in Wes Brown in for De laet... That being said, woody may not feature... so shuld i kick out to get brown in for??? woody or de laet

2--- Pretty simple--- play drenthe away at bolton or Pilkington at home to QPR???

    team this gw

    vorm
    jones enrique brown
    mata silva nani vdv
    rvp ade studge

    ruddy naylor raylor ferg

    2ft 0.2 in bank

was thinking of doing nani/mata to larsson/walters which would leave me enough to get in aguero/hernandez following gw for studge/ade..but nani and mata havent bad fixtures this week

i should rid of ferg but id have to use 2 transfers to rid of him as only 0.2 in bank..thoughts guys?

I have same MF but Ferg. I like a choice of Larsson, but doubt with Walters.

Walters has just one good home game left on this run. I'm not so keen to invest in too short-term player, but I agree that he is a good OOP for long-term and there could be many goals in a game vs Blackburn.

I'm thinking of Nani out as poor form and not so well fixtures with Newcastle and Villa to come. But I plan to keep Mata for one more week to play Wolves at home as my only Chelsea player. It might be different for you as you have Sturridge up front.

in a weird way a rooney injury wouldn't be the worse thing (fpl wise). he's very hard to sell otherwise when you see the fixtures, plus when the games are coming thick and fast he's one of few who can relied on to start every game

I think you can save your transfer, there's nothing pressing going on there.

I'll assume you're happy with Gower, Caulker and Moses as cheap players, since you wouldn't have them otherwise.

I would drop a striker down to Ba/Sturridge/Zamora/Agbonlahor/etc in order to upgrade those to Walters/Sessegnon/Drenthe, and/or a defender like Jagielka, Jones or Kompany.

But again it seems you've made a choice to go cheap in defence and expensive in attack.

Well I guess you could do those two subs in one week if you save up.

I would agree with them (although I'd consider also doing Lampard to Silva), Lampard is a bit hot and cold it would seem - not the consistent force he used to be and 11.7 is a price to pay for inconsistency. Silva has his rotation issues (although he's played 10/12) but seems to score quite decently when he does play.

This would all be part of my game plan of squeezing value where I can though 🙂

As an aside, wouldn't mind your views:

          Vorm/Schwarzer
          Baines/Jones/Shawcross/RTaylor/de Laet
          VdV/Silva/Walters/Ramsey/Sinclair
          RvP/Adebayor/Sturridge

Ramsey and de Laet are my real concerns at the moment. Any other suggestions for this week?
