My opponent scored a cool 74Pts from 3 players using his triple captain and has leapfrogged me in the league. For weeks I have made slightly better decisions than him but in the space of one GW, two players have propelled him ahead of me.
Sour grapes? You bet! Sour smelly rancid grapes coated in birds do-do. The fact is I enjoy playing this game. It's a game involving chance, but like all good games of chance, by using a degree of skill you can try to increase the odds in your favour. I feel that the chips inject more randomness in the game and subsequently detract from the element of skill and strategy. The fact that all the good decisions I made in previous game weeks has just been overturned in one day, is great news for those who rely simply on luck. Not so good for the strategists.

Anyone know a cure for foul-tasting grapes?

I think thats my goal reached.

First season of properly playing Fantasy Football and i've won my work league (around 30 people).

I was 100 points clear going in ahead of closest rival, then he took 28 points in hits this week (said he meant to - but reckon he just forgot to wildcard). Plus, i had Aguero captain and he doesn't have him. Can't see me being caught now.

It's been allot of fun - i'll definitely play it every year now. God how stressful are the international breaks!

Currently in top 20k ish - dont mind where i landed though provided i won ML.

  Not to pour salt in any wounds, but Lennon and Kaku I had as well, and got rid for an 8 pt. hit as soon as I saw both were a doubt (which sucked, I just WCd in GW 33!), which turned out to be a good idea, so far. Nasri has just come back in from injury, Martial was always a risk (all Man U attackers are) as was Mitrovic.
  
  So, imo, you were rolling the dice on all of your named selections.
