Liverpool’s Divock Origi is set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama have been passed fit for Southampton’s trip to Villa, Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s visit to City, whilst Chris Smalling has overcome a knock in time for United’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton.

Reports in the local press suggest the Divock Origi is ruled out for the season with the ankle injury sustained against Everton in midweek. The Liverpool striker will undergo further scans today to ascertain the likely length of absence.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Harry Arter and Adam Smith will remain sidelined for the visit of Chelsea. The Bournemouth boss also indicated he will continue to ease Callum Wilson back into action after the striker was afforded a couple of sub appearances following his return from injury.

Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama are available for Southampton’s trip to Villa after recovering from the knocks that forced both off in last week’s draw at Everton. Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that Charlie Austin remains unavailable though is close to returning from a knee problem.

Chris Smalling has shrugged off a knock picked up against Palace on Wednesday night and is available for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton. Adnan Januzaj remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s trip to the Etihad with the hamstring injury that forced him off during Monday’s loss at Spurs. Mark Hughes has revealed that Shay Given is likely to keep his place in goal, though Marc Wilson, Glen Johnson and Jon Walters are still sidelined.

Ramiro Funes Mori serves the first of a three-match ban for Everton’s FA Cup semi-final encounter against Man United. Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez also confirmed that Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are set for late assessments, though Seamus Coleman has failed to recover from a hamstring complaint.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland after missing last night’s win over West Brom with a minor back problem.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

    Am I GTG?

    Darlow

Should I transfer out De Gea or Robles for hit so I have a playing keeper?

Wouldn't think so. DDG is going to be ace in GW37, and hitting for a keeper you can afford on Robles-money seems a waste.

    Darlow
    Koscielny Bellerin Walker
Alli Coutinho Milner Sanchez De Bruyne
    Kane(C) Kun

Bench (Robles, Borini, Sakho & Delaney)

Would you change the bench order?

... and somehow Leicester and Man City drew 1-1 and 0-0 at Villa Park this season. 💩 happens in isolated cases. Southampton are still a much stronger team than Villa.

    my GKs are:
    DDG - Robles

decided to sell DDG to fund Ward ➡ PvA move

    which GK should I get?

I am gonna play Robles in GW36 (BOU) and GW37 (lei, sun)

So I need a GK for GW35 and GW38. Who should I go for:

    A. Foster (avl / CPL)
    B. Mignolet (NEW / wba)
    C. Schmeichel (SWA / che)

    ??

C - Leicester with everything to play for and both opponents with nothing to play for. And very solid at the back of late

Assuming a) is FoRster, not Foster probably him, as you may want to leave Liverpool slots free for the DGW.

Massive one, he'd be happy if he got 85 in one gameweek so 172 in a double is about the same. I'm looking at my 140 like it's 2 70 point weeks which isn't too bad to me, plus the 73 I got in GW33. Another 70+ would be perfect this GW

    De Gea, Darlow
    Bellerin, Clichy, Fuchs, Sakho, Gabriel
    Sanchez, Coutinho, Payet, Mahrez, Lanzini
    Aguero, Kane, Martial

    1FT, 1.6 in bank

    Which is better plan?

    A)
GW35: Clichy, Lanzini, Martial -> Rose, Alli, Sturridge (-8)

    B)
    GW35: Clichy, Lanzini -> Rose, Alli (-4)
    GW36: Martial -> Carroll (FT)

    1. ArseneWanger
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

I'd have to say B, would rather have Carroll for the run in after GW35 than Sturridge, purely as he'll be wrapped in cotton wool for Europa now that Origi is out.

    2. Pegboy
      • 15 Years

Would you take any hits to change this?

    Darlow

    Bellerin Sakho Simpson

    Alexis KdB Coutinho Alli

    Kane Aguero Mitrovic

    Bench: Gabriel (+Robles Lingard Smalling)

Already taken -4 pt hit to bring in Kane and Alli

    1. NorwEagles
      • 11 Years

If FT I would probably have suggested mitro out for a guaranteed starter, but don't think it's worth it for a hit.

This is me. 1.2m itb. 1FT

    Mignolet
    Bellerin,Gabriel
    Sanchez,KDB,Firmino,Coutinho
    Aguero,Mitrovic

    Robles,Lanzini,Martial,Coleman,Delaney.

    Considering Coleman,Coutinho,Martial > PVA,Kane, then choice of Mane,RLC,Milner for -8?

Not quite believing it, but I am up to 244th in the world!

Still 80+ points off top though...

I am about 140 points ahead in my ML, so, the question is...

Do I play sensible, and aim for a top 1k finish?

Or, do I start taking erratic punts at an ambitious attempt to win the thing!?

      Well payed mate.

I came 51st last year. For the last few weeks of the season I took a few pints to try and get in the top 10. Most didn't come off, but I would do the same again.

I reckon you get one shot at being in the top 10. Got to go for it.

      Good luck!

        Wow, good effort!

        1. Boss Hogg
          • 16 Years

I like thr idea of a less popular teammate of a highly owned player, so the Borini move could be a good one.

I also like Lanzini instead of Payet, and Milner instead of Cout/Firmino for the dgw.

ICT threat for the last "four matches played" as oppose to the last "four game weeks" (as used on a lot of tables)

    Hi all..
Already set on coutinho, martial and mitro to alli, Defoe and kane for -8...

With Gabriel unlikely to play, any thoughts on Gabriel to rose for another hit?....my theory is that if Gabriel is benched again and rose plays it is effectively only a 2point hit at worst!

    Current team for gw35 is

    Darlow (robles)
    Bellerin sakho Gabriel Simpson smalling
    Kdb Sanchez alli (payet lanzini)
    Kane Kun Defoe

    Thoughts appreciated...thanks

Can't see why Chelsea won't continue to play him

Also can't see why Chelsea won't rotate him also to try out a new formation or tactic. Season is gone for them.

Rotate him with who? An established international who they are already know everything about?

Makes a lot more sense to me for Chelsea to play RLC regularly in the closing weeks so they can see what they have there. Doesn't mean he can't play in a number of different positions if they choose to 'try out a new formation'

Origi injury bad news for us Sturridge owners now he'll be rested for EPL games and play the Europa ones.

This may not be the case. He doesn't have a whole season full of matches in his legs so may still play regularly - just not 90 mins.

Ok so to build on this week, I need to take a -4 to field XI.

I see no point taking a hit to sell a possible starter (Coutinho), so I think Lukaku+Martial > Kane(c) + Defoe makes sense?

    Darlow
    Bellerin Lovren Simpson (Dann Smalling)
    Sanchez Iwobe Coutinho Milner (Lingard)
    Aguero MARTIAL LUKAKU

    GW36 hold
    GW37 Dann>Pva + ??

    Any suggestions for this team?

    DDG Robles
    Smalling Gabriel Bellerin Sakho Fuchs
    KDB Sanchez Lanzini Firmino Mahrez
    Aguero Carroll Martial
    0.4 ITB, 1FT

    I'm considering: Smalling+Martial -> Koune+Kane (-4)
It does leave me with no playing keeper though. Any better options? Cheers!

      wouldn't worry about a keeper

sakho rested, maybe KDB and Kun also
      Gabriel risk also!

      I have same problems

      try and get Kane in

      Whats' the latest re Smalling?

he seems ok afaik, but the issue is cash (especially if trying to bring kane in). There are many risks, but given I have quite a few players definitely not playing, might as well get rid of them first?

Best Martial replacement for another hit

    a) Pelle (villa)
    b) Defoe (DGW)
    c) anyone else, I have Kane and Kun

    Many thanks !

Arsenal rock when tested at the back. I reckon a 3-2 win could be on the cards.
