Liverpool’s Divock Origi is set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama have been passed fit for Southampton’s trip to Villa, Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s visit to City, whilst Chris Smalling has overcome a knock in time for United’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton.

Reports in the local press suggest the Divock Origi is ruled out for the season with the ankle injury sustained against Everton in midweek. The Liverpool striker will undergo further scans today to ascertain the likely length of absence.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Harry Arter and Adam Smith will remain sidelined for the visit of Chelsea. The Bournemouth boss also indicated he will continue to ease Callum Wilson back into action after the striker was afforded a couple of sub appearances following his return from injury.

Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama are available for Southampton’s trip to Villa after recovering from the knocks that forced both off in last week’s draw at Everton. Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that Charlie Austin remains unavailable though is close to returning from a knee problem.

Chris Smalling has shrugged off a knock picked up against Palace on Wednesday night and is available for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton. Adnan Januzaj remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s trip to the Etihad with the hamstring injury that forced him off during Monday’s loss at Spurs. Mark Hughes has revealed that Shay Given is likely to keep his place in goal, though Marc Wilson, Glen Johnson and Jon Walters are still sidelined.

Ramiro Funes Mori serves the first of a three-match ban for Everton’s FA Cup semi-final encounter against Man United. Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez also confirmed that Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are set for late assessments, though Seamus Coleman has failed to recover from a hamstring complaint.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland after missing last night’s win over West Brom with a minor back problem.

Any ideas for this team. Got 2 FT

    Darlow Robles
    Gabriel Sakho Delaney Darmian Simpson
    Sanchez KDB Mahrez Lennon Payet
    Aguero Lukaku Martial

Thinking Darmian Lennon Martial >> Rose, Ali, Defoe (-4)

Or could go for Darmian Lennon Luka >> Rose, Ali, Pelle. Tempted by the doubles for Luka and Defoe though, rather than a one week punt on Pelle! Any thoughts appreciated!...

-12 hits to change this team

    “No GK”
    Bellerin - Sakho - Lovren - Fuchs
    Sanchez - Coutinho - KDB - “Iwobi”
    Kane - Kun
    Bench : DDG / Robles , Delaney , Payet , Martial

    .. to this team

    “Darlow”
    Bellerin - Sakho - Fuchs
    Sanchez - Coutinho - KDB - “Alli”
    Kane - Kun - “Sturridge”
Bench : DDG, Lovren, Payet, Delaney,

    Good potential ?

    lost..

help please, really mucked things up taking a pointless -4 last week and got next to no reward (captaining Ozil was a horrific decision granted).

    Currently have:-

    Darlow
    Sakho Kos Gabriel Simpson (Delaney)
    Coutinho, Nasri, Payet, Ozil, Milner
    Aguero Martial Mitrovic

The season looks done to me?!

Depends on how much you have to spend.

Nasri to Alli would be a good start then try and get Kane in.

tough isnt it. Nasri rules out though so might make it a bit easier.

Nasri --> Alli looks pretty ideal

Eriksen for Coutinho or Rose for Sakho? Both would require a -4 hit and I already have Kane and Alli.

    Darlow, De Gea
    Bellerin, Gabriel, Sakho, Simpson, Smalling
    Sanchez, Alli, Firmino, Coutinho, Payet
    Kane, Aguero, Rashford

    No fts, 1.2 itb

    Thank you for any advice!

Spencer shall we take the plunge, hold hands and do our -8's together?

I'm gonna go for a very similar, Mitrovic, Coutinho and Payet --> Kane, Milner & Alli...

    Leaves me with

    Darlow
    Bellerin // Gabriel // Clyne//
    De Bruyne // Sanchez // Milner //Alli
    Sturridge // Aguero // Kane

    Subs: Robles**, FM**, Delaney**, Lanzini**

    (-8)

      Thinking -8 is too much...

How about Coutinho -> Alli and Delaney -> PvA/Kirchhoff for -4?

You never know, Mitrovic might get some points.

Looks like I might have to take a -8 this week to defend a few leagues.

    Hennessy Roble(No game)
    Morgan Williams Bellerin Smith(?)(Fosu-Mensah)
    Mahrez Alli Sanchez Firmino(Antonio)
    Sturridge Kane Aguero.

I am taking out Sagna,Coutinho and Welbeck for Alli, Kane and Morgan.

Good decision or not? 3 Liverpool players starting is prob unlikely and need to cover Kane.

I've taken a 4 point hit to get 11 players this week - however to say a couple are doubtful to play is an understatement:

    Hart
    Gabriel | Clyne | Sakho | Rose
De Bruyne | Coutinho | Ozil
    Aguero | Kane | Defoe

    Robles | Rojo | Lanzini | Payet

Worth taking another 4 point hit to bring in a nailed player for one of the rotation risks (Gabriel, Clyne, Sakho, Coutinho) or just go with the 11 and hope for the best?

Deliberating over captain also, Aguero will probably get 60 minutes or so and Kane will play the full 90.

    1. Rossamous
      • 13 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

Depends who you bring in. For an attacker could be worth it. Can you afford Lanzini to Alli?

      1. steve2401
        • 11 Years
        9 years, 9 months ago

Yeah I have 1.5m ITB - wasn't really considering Lanzini as he has a DGW coming up. Was thinking of getting rid of the rotation risks first.

Pelle worth a punt this week for a -4 over martial? Can't field a full 11 otherwise anyway.

    1. Morgs
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

I'd say so.. Assuming Pelle plays 60+ mins then it's only a -2 and there's definitely potential for him to earn points against villa...

  12. Teror
    • 11 Years
    9 years, 9 months ago

My wildcard paid off for DGW but it's kind of fecked me for this one. Four players with a blank, Gabriel, KdB, Coutinho, maybe even Aguero rotation risks, Origi injured. will probably have to go -8.

    1. dub75670
      • 9 Years
      9 years, 9 months ago

I had to do a -8 as well but got Kane and Alli in for Kaku and Martial who would have blanked anyway so worst case they only get 2 points each and its only really a -4.

so nasri def out for this gw?..leaves me with 9 (assuming clichy is fit and mitrovic starts sigh!)...have 1FT and 0.9m itb

    darlow
    sakho bellerin gabriel clichy
    sanchez coutinho nasri bolasie
    kun mitrovic

    robles smalling martial payet

A: bolasie + nasri >> allli + milner (-4)..good transfer imo if milner plays
B: bolasie + nasri + martial >> lanzini + alli + kane (-8)..doesnt make sense to get a blank player in
    C: bolasie + nasri >> milner/khazri/loftus-cheek/willian worth considering?

So nasri in last week didn't work! Who to take him out for? I have 5.2m to spend if I use the money to help me get Kane in

    martial + Nasri + Smalling > Kane + Alli + PVA (-8)

    Help with a dilema.
Just stormed to top of MLs with a GW of 165 (TC Sanchez)
Likely only 10 maybe only 9 starters but little riggle room for who to transfer in.
    AOA chip still to play.

    Mig
    Targett* Simpson Monreal
    Iwobi Coutinio Sanchez KDB
    Kane Kun Sturrige

Bench with no game - Hennessy Lingard Fosu Mensa Reid.

Some rotation risks and Target unlikely to Play.
    Looking ahead ? Lingards minutes.

    0.2 ITB

Cant get any def for 4m who plays this week and is nailed on.
Do I take -4 or -8 and just get rid of target or sort it out now but ML lead is only 4 pts!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thanks for suggestions

    So do I:
    a) Take a risk on Gabriel starting - no hits, fielding 11
    b) Hit: Dann > PVA as a 12th man (benching headache) and an extra DGW player
    c) Hit: Dann > Alderweireld - massively reducing cash available, so would need hits to get e.g. Kane later but covers Toby's massive 40%+ ownership
    d) Hit: Gabriel > PVA - uses little bit of cash, but has benefit of freeing an Arsenal slot just in case and PVA has a DGW.
