With Saturday’s matches behind us, we thought we’d drop in and draw your attention to an opportunity to extend your Fantasy Football weekend.

Sky Sports have recently launched a brand new free-to-play game that offers no less than £10,000 in prize money each week.

Fantasy Six-a-Side is an app-based game that’s focused on one of Sky Sports’ live matches. This weekend you can join the game and get involved for tomorrow’s Etihad meeting between Man City and Arsenal.

Fantasy Six-a-Side is simple to grasp but has some pretty neat and unique mechanics.

You start by choosing an “Elite Player” from the handpicked selection that Sky have identified as the key players in the match. For this weekend, you can choose from Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.

You then have to complete your six-aside team, filling your five spots from the two clubs: there are no player values, formations or restrictions on the positions you can select.

You then choose a “Power Play” period of the match – during this 15-minute spell, your team will earn double points. There six periods to choose from making up the 90 minutes.

Finally, you need to predict the time of the first goal or “Golden Goal” – this is used as a decider should two or more managers be tied for a cash prize.

Once you’ve confirmed your squad, you can change your lineup right up until Sunday’s four o’clock kick-off.

While the rules are simple, the scoring is reassuringly detailed and based on the Opta data we know so well.

Players earn points for goals, assists and clean sheets as you would expect but this is supplemented by points for match events like successful passes, chances created, tackles, blocks and clearances.

You can get a full rundown of the game’s scoring matrix here.

As mentioned, the game is free and comes with a guaranteed prize of £10,000 and, with only one account per entry, the game isn’t dominated by multi-entrant managers.

If you’re already playing the regular Sky Sports Fantasy Football game then you can use your same login to get started. If not, you can register via the site here or download the IOS app here or grab it via Google Play here.

There’s a full FAQ on the game here.

We’ve got our initial squad sorted and we’ve also set up a Fantasy Football Scout league for tomorrow’s game – the league name is “Fantasy Football Scout” and the PIN is “8023597”.

To join just hit the “Leagues” menu option and select “Join/Create”. From this screen, you’ll be asked to enter the League Name and PIN information provided above. Simply click the ‘Join League’ button to confirm your entry into our League.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Looks like all the triple captain options trolled us.

In frustration I looked at my team for GW38. Going to be hard to pick a bench.

      Not trolled by Defoe.

But, yes, next week could be a benching headache.

Aye for sure.. although if i can hold on to a spot in the top 10k i'll aim for exactly the same again next year.. Learnt a lot this season particularly that bit of discipline you need at times.. obviously the bad luck needs to be in short supply also

I don't really set targets but I think I can do even better next season. I have a proper season of experience under my belt, I made silly decision in the first half of this season because a lack of experience. I am sure I will be a better manager next season, but of course the game is luck and I could finish anywhere

I think it's not so much good luck but less bad luck than others if that makes sense.. For sure u will be better off for this season just looking u have taken one hit all season that's incredible especially over this run of the last few weeks.. iv spent close to 80 points on transfers and that was me being very reserved in comparison to my last 2 lol

3 points is nothing if you still have a lot of dgwers. You will only really see the effect after the tues/weds games. Almost guaranteed to be in there unless theres heavy rotation or crazy scores for alderweireld and co

The chips would have been much more interesting if we had more double game weeks. I guess the English weather was just too mild this time around. Gameweeks 34 and 37 were the big ones. I did bench boost and moved up 20,000 spots in GW 34, so no complaint. But I knew when I did it that the triple captain options for GW 37 were not great. I think deep down most of us knew that but were hoping for better things from people like Carroll and Payet (who I triple-captained). If I had known there were going to be so few double game weeks, I would have triple captained Kane or Aquero in a single game week versus a weak opponent.

      Smalling - Rojo - Belerin - Gabriel
      Sanchez - Payet - Hazard
      Costa - Deeney - Sturridge

      Bench - Robles - Fabregas - Lanzini - PVA

I think with the added complication of Europe it may make it a harder decision. Maybe Mahrez early on before the champions league starts.

He will not have played in the Euro's and you might expect him to be fresher than Vardy

So just thinking hereither while I drink my vino, players that did well and I never selected over the seasons due to the thinking that they could not continue and then when they did, I was too stubborn. Have done decent over the 7 seasons I have been playing....

Ramsey, Siggy twice 🙂 , Michu just to name a few. Anyone done the same in the past or even this year?

Good luck to everyone the rest of the season!

That is very close to what I did. The deference is that I had Mahrez for weeks, before I made some change in my team 1 day before the deadline which gave me some money itb, so decided to "upgrade" Mahrez to Chadli 😆

Anyone else expect a big performance from Aguero tomorrow?

The thing with Aguero is.....there's always the expectation.

Both City and Arsenal will need a big performance. I wonder if the CL exertions and disappointment will put city on the back foot throughout.

Alderweireld this yr. Normally I jump on early. Alli this season done good for me. Butland in goal done really well. I remember one season I benched van persie and he got 4 or 5 goals in a game I tink. Was doing exam same day and cudnt get it outta my mind.

Its still on for Uniteds top 4 aspirations. Not in the least bit bothered by FPL anymore, the sooner next season arrives the better.

I won't be taking any hits but looking forward to getting my last transfer over and done with. Probably Fabregas -> Mane in another hail marry.

Strangely i'm exactly the opposite.. i have no problem with another year out of the champions league as long as it pretty much guaranteed a change of manager.. The thought that a top 4 finish and a cup win will on the other hand guarantee LVG another year scares me to death to be quite honest..

I think LVG goes regardless. It makes sense not to rock the boat at this stage in the season though.

Well that would be the ideal scenario for sure secure top 4 win the cup and then go but how realistic is that.. either way as soon as this cup final is over the club are gunna have to come out and say something one way or the other,, i pray to god the decision is change..

They won't miss out on the opportunity to get Mourinho. LVG's position is untenable with the style they have been playing. I do wonder if Mourinho is much of an antidote though, he's a defensive manager after-all.

I sure hope not because if they think LVG or Giggs(lol) can go toe to toe with Pep Conte Klopp Poch even Ranieri next year they are living in dreamland.. He more the pragmatic type he will park a bus if thinks that's best but even at that his teams are built on a rock soild foundation and ready to spring forward with real pace and intent when the opportunity arises.. His Madrid and Chelsea teams played some wonderful footy at times.. there will be none of this side to side and backwards bs we have become accustomed to under LVG

Yep, it would have been nice if we could play the passing game well but this slow tempo stuff just doesn't seem to be very effective in England. Arsenal do it with a much higher tempo and its more effective for them. Uniteds current crop of players aren't able to execute it well enough. Its naive to persist with the strategy. LVG is too stubborn to change though and start a new strategy that works to the players skill sets

Yeah you're probably right the system itself is pretty effective to a certain extent but the team selection and execution of it is horrible to watch.. i mean playing the likes of Fellaini and even Carrick who has been a fantastic servant over Schneiderlin is criminal.. he's lost his place in he French team over it he must be gutted..

Presumably Southampton assets are the ones to bring in this week. In red hot form and playing Palace at home. I'm guessing most already have 3 Arsenal players.

Is Ozil a better shout than mane?

Probably better to get an Arsenal player in your case. Unless they have nothing to play for, rotation could hit hard in GW38 otherwise
