FantasyBet’s biggest ever contest is coming up on Sunday as the 2015/16 campaign draws to a close. There’s £5000 available in the Grand Finale, offering a top prize of over £1,300 with an entry fee of £33.

As usual on the last day of the season, all kick-offs are at the same time, so with entries available up to 3pm, it’s possible to enter FantasyBet games after you’ve finalised your Fantasy Premier League line-ups.

While the Premier League may be over for the summer, there’s still plenty of football to keep us entertained, with FantasyBet hinting something special is in the works. Look out for their coverage of Euro 2016, which will include both a long-format competition and five-a-side concept.

If you are unfamiliar with FantasyBet it is particularly accessible for those who play Fantasy Premier League, as it uses a similar prices and scoring system.

Check out this daily and weekly fantasy guide to see how the game works.

MY TEAM

David De Gea (5.5m)
Virgil Van Dijk (5.5m)
Hector Bellerin (5.5m)
Chris Smalling (6.5m)
Alex Iwobi (4.5m)
Dusan Tadic (7m)
Juan Mata (8.5m)
Alexis Sanchez (11m)
Shane Long (5.5m)
Harry Kane (9.5m)
Sergio Aguero (13m)

KEY PICKS

David De Gea Prior to the 1-1 draw with Leicester, the Spaniard was unbeaten in five straight matches in front of his own fans. Indeed, Louis Van Gaal’s side have conceded only eight goals and registered 12 clean sheets in 18 fixtures at Old Trafford ahead of Bournemouth’s weekend visit.

Hector Bellerin A home clash against an Aston Villa side that’s blanked in five of their last seven affords Arsenal the chance of a fourth clean sheet in five attempts. Bellerin has already served up five assists this campaign and his raids down the right are bound to cause the visitors plenty of problems as they prepare for life in the Championship.

Dusan Tadic Hugely impressive in recent weeks, the Serb has delivered two strikes and six assists over the last four matches. With a 70% goal involvement for Southampton during that time frame, Tadic looks set to benefit from a home tie against a Crystal Palace side with one eye on next week’s Wembley final.

Sergio Aguero The Argentine has netted in six consecutive league matches and is now just one goal behind Harry Kane in the race for the Golden Boot. Hosts Swansea have mustered only one clean sheet in six as City travel to the Liberty looking for a result that would seal a top four spot in Manuel Pellegrini’s final match in charge.

LAST WEEK

My fortunes in FantasyBet have been as erratic as on-pitch events this season. The penultimate weekend saw Swansea inflict West Ham’s first defeat at Upton Park in the league since September and with a trio of Hammers assets in all of my line-ups and the armband firmly on either Andy Carroll or Dimitri Payet, it was a week with minor returns.

In low-scoring Gameweek, Teelxp won the Grand Weekend contest with 68 points. A bold triple up of Newcastle defenders combined with the differential pick of Swansea’s Andre Ayew, who scored 13 points, netted over £250.

THIS WEEK’S GAME PICKS

As always the best place to start if you’re new to FantasyBet are the freerolls. There is a £50 pot available for this Gameweek in both the standard and Flash Mode – they both cover all of the matches in Gameweek 38.

The Weekend DoubleUp has a £120 guaranteed pay-out with those managers who finish in the top half of the league at least doubling their £3.30 stake.

As mentioned above, The Grand Finale is the biggest pot FantasyBet have ever offered, with £5,000 in winnings being paid out. Multiple entries are available for a £33 fee to have a chance to end the season with a considerable windfall.

THIS WEEK’S STAKE

I’m entering two teams into The Grand Finale and also place line-ups in the freerolls, the Double-up contest and entering a team into the FFScout Picks League for a total outlay of £69.30.

In addition, I’ll be going up against AZ, the Community champion in this week’s Scout Picks.

He will be taking me on in a specially set up head to head game for a chance to win free entry into a £500 Guaranteed ‘Big Weekly’ game worth £22. Also the eligible Community Champion who beats the Scout Picks by the highest margin every month will win a free entry into the £600 guaranteed ‘Boss’ game worth £55.

FFSCOUT PICKS LEAGUE

Hlopchick topped the FFScout league – which covered all of the double Gameweek fixtures – last week. He emerged victorious with a massive score of 121 points; six of his players recorded double figures or more, with Nathan Redmond (18 points) and Patrick Van Aanholt (17 points) the standout picks.

Once again, FantasyBet have provided a £100 pot for the FFScout Picks League – with a £1.10 stake for entry, it is now possible to enter two teams into this contest. I will enter our Scout Picks as closely as possible, given a 15-man squad is required with the 100m budget and a captain also needs to be selected.

Feel free to go up against them this week and pick your own squad on FantasyBet.

nothing to lose here in my case really.
I am second with -15 as a burden, third is 110pts away from me.
think I'll try to catch the besterd who just overtook me in gw37 after my carroll C fail.

I'd also like to ask you why have you changed kane?
                    no trust in spurs?

I just feel that both Dembele and Alli out is a huge loss to their momentum going forward and Newcastle haven't been as bad as people are making out.. Plus I feel Iheanacho / Long / Giroud / Benteke have higher ceilings this weekend, but I could be wrong!

magpies tightened at the back recently with rafa, but this game has nothing to do with recent form (this includes spurs too) imo.
very unpredictable and difficult to say what can happen.
the only certainties about this game is that kane is up there to claim golden boot his and spurs can finish above gunners, which is a nice way to end a season.
nothing that newcastle can prove anymore, nothing to play for.
I expect lethargic performance from them, lots of boos and maybe even frustration that can cause some red cards.

I don't much, but as you said, he is doing the business. This is the highest he has ever been, by quite a margin, on the two relevant tables:

            http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/399/
            http://members.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/my-stats-tables/view/5595/

If memory serves, never got higher than 12th. before, indicating that your postulation of his adaptation is possibly correct. 🙂

🙂 I'm glad he's getting some recognition, it's all been there in his Europa performances when Poch has leaned on him more. In the league, at least for fantasy players, he's been overshadowed by the other members of the midfield attack but he's still been a good player for them.

          +10.

          Nothing fun about Kane.

          Iheana(c)ho is waaay more fun.

If I was to own a Spurs asset it'd be Eriksen.

Why the need for a defender? 2 ARS & Smalling looks sound, or are you wqorried about game time?

You have a strong front 7 anyway, maybe just Alli > Lingard?

    • weaver93
      • 14 Years

I'm chasing 30 points in ML....

      His front 7 are Alexis,Payet, Mahrez,Lanzini,Kun,Ratchford,Sturridge

      Mine are Hazard,Alexis,Payet,Lanzini,Kun,Rashford,Carroll.

I feel Giroud (C) could be a good differential..

But I would need to take a hit, too many Arsenal players..(Gabriel,Bellerin ,Alexis)

IF I did Giroud to Rashford, - this would leave 4.4 for a DEF

      Which 4.4 defender,? (have Simpson,Bellerin,Smalling PVA,Gabriel)

      Any help appreciated guys....

Mane + Tadic is maybe too much but it depends on who else you have.

However, I'm struggling to look past 2 goals and 4 assists.

Hey guys my best ever season on FPL currently sitting nicely in OR 126! A lot of that is down to the membership on here and help in the forums from all you guys, thanks!

Would love to finish in the top 100 so one last question for this season:

      Mignolet
      Smalling Cresswell Rose
      Sanchez Mahrez Hazard Payet Iwobi
      Aguero Kane

      Subs: Robles, Defoe, Lovren, Huth

What should be my priority with my 1 FT? Sub Mignolet out for a GK guaranteed a start? Or Defoe out for another striker? Only 0.3 ITB.

      Thanks again everyone!!!

I'm leading all my MLs (smallest lead 19 points). My concern is making sure I get 11 players out. Does this work now? It has cost me -4... * means pretty sure they're playing...

      Cech* (Migs)

      Bellerin*/ Moreno/ Darmian (Simpson*/Delaney*)

      Sanchez (c)*/ Payet*/ Tadic*/ Hazard* (Lingaard)

      Aguero */ Carroll */ Defoe

      G2G?

      Need some expert advice here

      Chasing a 20 point gap
He has Sanchez. Expecting him to captain him. He does not have Aguero and no way of getting him without a hit.
It's better to captain Aguero and hope he explodes rather than Sanchez to match his captain and rely on my differentials?
Him: Gabriel, Townsend, Hazard, Lukaku, Carroll
Me: Cresswell, Lanzini, Fabregas, Giroud, Defoe

You have potential doubts with Defoe, and worst case Gru, but have the plus side of Aguero and potential of Gru if he plays. I reckon you're right to try captaining Kun.
