After a dramatic final day for all the wrong reasons, the Fantasy Premier League season has been extended following the disturbing abandonment of the Manchester United and Bournemouth encounter.

It means that the situation at the top remains undecided, although from our calculations of the scheduled autosubs, Dimitri Nicolaou has preserved his lead by just a single point.

A member of the Fantasy Football Scout league, Dimitri went into the final day 18 points ahead of Jamie Fitzpatrick and 24 in front of Jack Manners.

While Jamie has fallen away with a disappointing tally of 26, Jack has dramatically closed the gap via his captaincy of Sadio Mane and has collected 57 points after autosubs, with Charlie Daniels yet to play.

It could have been even better: had both Ross Barkley or Aaron Lennon remained on the Everton bench, Jack would have collected an additional seven points from his third benched player, Michail Antonio.

Dimitri has mustered 34 points after autosubs having taken a 4-point hit; he elected instead to play his All-Out-Attack chip which was duly nullified by Philippe Coutinho’s no-show.

It appears that Dimitri remains a point ahead of Jack but with both Chris Smalling and Marcus Rashford left to play in the re-arranged fixture, now confirmed for Tuesday May 17.

Ed Masters, a regular poster under the guise of “Mo Mane Mo Problems” and a full Fantasy Football Scout member, has climbed to third spot at this point.

Ed also captained Mane and produced a superb final day tally of 57 points following a hit; we make it that he’s eight points behind Dimitri with David de Gea still to play.

With the United and Bournemouth fixture to follow, there are still multiple scenarios that could see the top spots shuffle once again.

Louis van Gaal will surely consider playing a weakened lineup against the Cherries given that Manchester City have now sealed fourth spot and with the weekend FA Cup Final in mind.

David de Gea could be the only assured starter as he looks to claim the clean sheet which would see him contest the Golden Glove award with Arsenal’s Petr Cech.

Dimitri, Jack and Ed are currently left waiting on the outcome of Tuesday evening to see how it will fall. Until then, the FPL title remains in limbo.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Who finishes higher OR?

    Ville Runke: +10 points
    Me: DDG, Smalling, Rooney, King

Beating Ville would be a dream, like Leicester winning the title. Thought it was done and dusted before this GW but Mane (C) has brought me right back in it.

Is there any player you feel you missed out on not owning all season, ie there was always someone/something else going on?

    I'll start:
    Toby!

Of recent games, Troy Deeney is an annoying little blighter esp when you consider the team he plays for scores so few goals.

I've had all the protaganists but looking at my fall down the rankings from week 11, I took far too long bringing in Ozileyes.

    Good morning!

I just want to thank FFS for all the good advice I've gotten this season. Bought a membership this year, and it paid for itself by helping me winning two MLs with prizes to the winner (that is, unless Martial and De Gea gets a combined 24 points)!

A huge thank you to all of the community for putting up with my RMTs and my lineup headaches. Thanks to you I was able to break into the top 10k for the first time ever. Next year we'll take the top 1000!

The RMT is always handy but I usually look at the last 4 gameweeks and see the attacking stats esp SIB, SOT, goal attempts and the team stats.

Good luck for next year! 🙂

Watching that game was painful. A strikeforce who were playing well would have filled their boots. Kun and Iheanacho were terrible though and looked like they were playing against each other not with each other; dragging shots wide, shooting when they should pass and passing when they should shoot. Awful stuff.

The case of Patrick van Aanholt

I started the season with him mainly because of his plum fixtures, and I know that he's really an attacking threat. People said he's overpriced at 5.0 - playing for SUN, a history of no goal in FPL and only 5 assists last season and finished at 4.1m and 4.3 m in the 2 seasons prior to this season. I opposed the idea and thought he'd be worth the money.

The early season went very bad for SUN - Advocaat resigned and I blamed him. I took PVA out of frsutration. And then came superhero Allardyce. In January, he went berserk in January (4 goals in 4 GWs), and I missed those points. I said to myself, If can I buy him at 5.0, why didn't I buy him at just 4.6? By then, it was too late.

Along came DGW37. A regular said that he's a fool's gold, Cresswell is the one to get. I refused to accept the idea, I know he'd do well, more so after he rattled the crossbar against us i.e Arsenal. In the end, I bought him and he proved to be one of my little bright spots in 2015/2016.

Now, I do worry that after 6 goals, 4 assists and a massive 127 points, he will be overpriced next season @5.5m, joining the likes of Cresswell, Fonte, etc. I hope FPL towers can go slow on this gold of mine.

    Morning gent

Assuming United go full strength, who wins?

    A) Martial +23
    or
    DDG, Smalling, Lingard

    B) Martial +26
    or
    Smalling, Martial(c), Bellerin(vc)

Lot of money riding on this

Vardy is going to stay I think.

Payet is DEFINITELY going to stay, he wants to play in the new stadium and said it was one of the main reasons he went to West Ham.

Mahrez could leave for big money but who would take the risk? I think he has another 6-12 months left at Leicester.

Kanté is arguably the most important one, his contribution this year has been immense.

      Nobody talking about Drinkwater no?

It's the third(?) time he'll play the inaugral match at a new stadium and he values it pretty highly, can't find the exact quote as it was in a FourFourTwo magazine interview with him a few months ago but it was the reason he was convinced to join West Ham.

I got Tadic and Smalling in for a drunken -4 back on the Saturday night of GW37... the lure of 0.0itb was too much for my inebriated state.

Ended up ruining it with Kane -> Iheanacho for -8 anyways, so yeah... should have gone Mané and Giroud.. 🙁
