Best upcoming team ....
Neur (Bayern Munich)
Kelly (Liverpool)
Jones (Man Utd)
Smalling (Man Utd)
Walker (Spurs)
Wilshere (Arsenal)
Gotze (B.Dortmund)
Hazard (Lille)
Eriksson (Ajax)
Pato (Ac Milan)
Neymar (Santos)Open Controls22
Also, how is Pato 'upcoming'? He's been around for 3/4 years, and is a bit over-hyped.Open ControlsHe was 17 when he signed for Milan though it does feel like he's been a high profile player for too long to be on that list.
His potential isn't overhyped, he just keeps getting held back by injuries. Every time he gets into a good run of scoring he picks up an injury and misses a month.Open Controls
Too many English players but its difficult to know all the hot prospects abroad. Some good picks in there.
Open ControlsDevour and Cavani should be in there for me.
Open Controlshaha kelly?? 😀
Open Controls
Bed beckons ... 🙂
Open ControlsRight then lads (and ladies) and bit of advise please as I am stumped.
Begovic Ruddy
Shawcross, S Taylor, Taylor swans, J Evans & Turner
Bale, Nani, Sinclair, Silva & Dyer
RVP, Ade & Bendtner
£4 million to spend 1 transfer please can I have some suggestions as I can't see an obvious player to sign with good form/fixtures (had 2 transfers but I am bringing in Bale)Open ControlsSort your GK, Vorm?
Think I'm bringing him in tonight before the price rise.Open Controls
Am i right in thinking Vorm will get save points added on?
Open Controls- Open Controls
demi or elninorules around with the link to the other fantasy cup? Or anyone else in it?
Open Controls- Open Controls
A lot of people on here are talking about selling Rooney. I know he's in poor form but he was back up front yesterday and after next week has an excellent run of fixtures. Utd seemed to be creating a lot more yesterday than they have been in recent weeks too. I'm strongly considering getting him in GW15.
Open ControlsI've gone Rooney to Hernandez as he is always the last man whilst Rooney drops deeper to influence the game more.
Open ControlsYep, i'll be getting Rooney in soon i think, especially with the hectic xmas period and people being burned by rotation more than ever.
Good fixtures, and we looked more threatening on Saturday. Hopefully this will be translate to some goalscoring form for Rooney. There's always penalties to fall back onOpen ControlsHopefully, hard to say at the moment because he is nowhere near dropping but he's likely to get a lot of transfers out.
Open Controls
Agree with this. Bought Rooney in for this week, and not regretting it so far. He should get a lot of points in the weeks up until the second wildcard. Other than RVP I wouldn't want any other expensive striker instead of him.
Open Controls
He wasn't up front though
He was playing behind hernandez, similar to central attacking mid roleOpen ControlsWatching Rooney at old trafford on saturday was a joy, he looked sharper than usual and was putting through balls and linking up quite well, i think it may be wise for people to stick, or move sideways to chico, this game next or the week after i bet he does something, im defo bringing in chico anyway.
Open Controls
Very much looking forward to Steve Bruce getting the sack tomorrow.
Chaaaaaaaaaaa-ching! 😀Open ControlsI think Bruce has been unlucky
Sometimes you can pick a good team on paper, set them up right, but your players just don't deliver the goods
As a fantasy manager, I know only to well that this can be the caseOpen ControlsNah man, he's spent a fair bit of money at Sunderland and they are still absolutely hopeless.
Open ControlsMain problems were Bent getting sold from under him and Gyan deciding he preferred to live in the middle east to the north east of England. If those two were still there it'd be a totally different story
Then again, maybe if he was a better man manager he might have been able to talk them into staying. Who knowsOpen Controls
who might replace him? Mark Hughes?
Open Controls
You backed him to be first to go???
Fiar play - thought Steve Kean had that market cornered.Open ControlsYeah, at 11/1.
Did it after reading a very interesting thread on some Blackburn forum (the thread has since been deleted) from some fan who is apparently 'in the know', saying that Kean will definitely not be sacked regardless of what happens this season. There was other stuff about what the Venky's actual motives are at Blackburn and how it spells disaster for them and almost certain relegation, apparently they may also get a points deduction.
Obviously it's a little silly to put money on things based on what you've read from people on online forums, but the guy did seem very much legit and there were a few backing up his claims. And to be fair, it's been pretty accurate so far. Despite all logic pointing towards Blackburn sacking Kean, he's still there and has just been given a new contract.
Also backed Blackburn for relegation after reading it all.Open ControlsThat's a no-brainer. Blackburn were down before a ball was kicked this season.
Open ControlsHopefully. It was by far and away the biggest bet I've ever placed.
Open ControlsHow much and what odds jamsiep?
Blackburn have been unlucky so far imo with their performances, if they can get Samba and Nelsen both 100% they should gather up some points. They could well go down but so could Wolves, Norwich, Wigan, Swansea, QPR or Bolton, it is such an open league this year.Open Controls£260 @ 11/10.
Agreed that they've been unlucky so far, based on their performances so far I really don't think they are the certainty to go down that Locarno seems to think they are.Open Controls
Why would they sack him? He is cheap (25k a week), travels to India every fortnight for meetings ( what other manager would do that?) and basically does everything they tell him to do ( chicken adverts, tour of India, friendly game in India during the season - list goes on)
Open Controls
No chance Bruce is going yet, Quinn is not stupid like that and won't just sack him after a couple of bad results
Chelsea on the other hands are morons and will get rid of avb
Let's be honest avb wil be gone sooner rather than later. If they don't beat Newcastle or latest when Chelsea go out of champ league in a week and a halfOpen Controls
should replace both goalkeepers
my goalkeepers are:
Given (Aston Villa) -- very tough fixtures for the next month
and
Kenny (QPR) -- injured
who to choose?:
Cerny (QPR) -- 4.0
Westwood (Sunderland) -- 4.4
Krul (Newcastle) -- 4.7
other options?Open ControlsI don't think ill ever get through a gw without the transfer itch, think nani or Ramsey has to go even though im enjoying watching both play they're too donkeys atm, what would you do?
vorm krul,
Enrique bae Jones Traylor Richards
Silva nani Walters bale Ramsey
Morison adebayor rvpOpen ControlsAbsolutely no idea what my opponent got but out of interest what happens if you happen to draw with your opponent in the PP Cup?
Open ControlsHighest overall ranking proceeds
Open ControlsOh right. Makes sense. Can't remember his rank either!
Guess I'll find out soon enough.Open ControlsMilkman, you're in trouble. It's 58 (him) versus 56. And although you'll get 6 from Mata (c), he's also got Mata. And Adebayor. And Silva. And Moses. And Vorm. And Jagielka.
It's gonna be tight.Open Controls
Hmmmm just thinking early, won't make these trades till friday:
Hennessey/Vorm
ShawX Tierney Naylor Simpson Jones
VDV Yaya Walters Hoolahan Bannan
Rooney RVP Sturridge
Thinking of doing:
Hoolahan & Bannan> Larsson & MGP
Thoughts please?Open ControlsThose 2 need to go. Larsson has done well this year and Sun have 2 more good fixtures. Blackburn have been scoring a lot and have a good run of fixtures.
Drenthe and Ben Arfa are other options. Flair.Open Controls
I only read the live text for the everton game but fellaini's goal came from a baines cros didn't it?
Open ControlsNo Billy assist not baines

In five seasons of playing FF I have to say Vorm is probably up there in the top five of signings (with regard to value) I've ever made.
I'd be amazed if Swansea can keep a hold of him for next season
Could see Chelsea maybe going for him. Afterall, one more knock and Petr Cech's going to be looking like Robocop with all the protective gear he's going to have be wearing. I think he might be thinking its time to call it a dayOpen ControlsLiverpool and Man City games aside, has he actually been *that* good?
Swansea's great clean sheet record so far this season is more down to their possession football, than individual brilliance from Vorm. He's only made more than 3 saves in four games this season.Open Controls
Team value looks like it's going to 108.2 tonight.
Open ControlsFair enough. Most guys with huge team values have rankings in the high six figures.
Open Controlsthat's impressive as people who usually chase price rises do so to the ultimate detriment of their pts total. Would be a good learning experience to see your transfer history if you dont mind.
Open ControlsHaven't been chasing rises, just taking them into account. Basically I got all the risers on GW4 wildcard and sold some of them the Saturday morning before deadline. A couple more like Dzeko and Young went later on due to poor performance and were at their peak prices. Got Silva, Ade, Enrique, RVP, VDV, Vorm, Bos (sold at 6.3), and Saylor all at original or lower prices and they've gone up a lot. Haven't had a single price drop bar Suarez who had gone back up by the time I sold. Also have/had quite a few others that have risen .2-.3/banked me .1 profit.
Open Controls
really ? 108.2 team value .. how do you achieve that sir
Open ControlsSome good picks at the start of the season, GW4 wildcard and, with a couple of exceptions, buying and selling players at the right time.
Open Controlsthe guy in my league also did GW4 wildcard ... he is at 105 .. i feel if you have a high team value you definitely have a huge advantage
Open Controls
I think the straight jacket might be about to come out, but has anyone considered picking Jones AND Smalling? Think about it, one of them is pretty much guaranteed to play every week, some weeks both might play, but if you have a GW like this one for Jones you still have a United defender in (ok so I know Fab played this w/e, but only cos Smalling is not fully match fit), if you start them b oth and one doesn't play you still have a sub to come in, if you bench one and pick the other you're guaranteed at least 1 of them playing.
Ok you can bring out the men in white coats now.Open Controlsthe thought had crossed my mind. not a bad gambit at all imo
Open Controlsif you have good enough defenders to cover the prospect of neither playing, which I will when I finalise my team changes (with no wc it takes a few weeks) also leaves me with plenty of cash to change Ba when he goes to ANC
Open ControlsI currently have Kompany, Jones, Enrique, Shawcross and Simpson. One more tweak and it's something I could do also. The only thing that would stop me is the 3 player limit per team.
Open ControlsI have Jones and Hernandez so it works for me, I'm taking Woodgate out for Jags in a few so if neither of them play I still have BAE, Jags and Raylor as my defenders, this may be a plan so barmy it's actually a stroke of genius
Open Controlslet me know what you do. I dont think it's barmy at all.
Open Controls
it could work. But for me I am happy enoughh with Kompany, BAE and Enrique. I would like a utd defender but Jones is now too risky for me and I dont have cash for vidic or de gea.
Open Controls
thanks to the guy here who told me not to do kompany ---> baines this week :D:D:D
Open ControlsWelcome to my team Mr. Hernandez
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_-isKzt4O4&ob=av2eOpen ControlsAny thoughts on the Man City striker rotation issue if they go out the Champions League? Aguero to start every match near enough and Balotelli and Dzeko to rotate with each other and replace Aguero late on in the game?
Open ControlsSounds about right
Open ControlsI think thats pretty much it. Thats the annoyance of them having such a strong squad. I mean, surely it cant be that Aguero can never last a full 90 - its got to be more that Mancini wants to give token time to his other strikers. Thank christ for the Tevez debacle or the four of them would probably just be playing a half each in turns......
Getting annoyed being an Aguero owner now. Good returns overall yes, but probably you could get the same for less pounds....Open ControlsImagine being paid that much just to play 45 minutes! 😉
Open ControlsMoney has irrevocably corrupted football no doubt.
These days your teams are full of people that dont really care about who they play for, and you have fans who are, at some level, resentful of the fact that the players (and managers) they cheer on make more in one week than they do in three years
I've been a football fan my whole life (mainly St Johnstone) and the best ever years were when it was a team of local, die hard part timers who were postmen and butchers during the week and then giving their all on the pitch on Saturday.
Mind you, the quality of football was sh*teOpen Controls
Am looking at Aguero with a similar attitude. The only drawback is that he is the most nailed on league starter of the trio on the most prolific scoring team in the league. Not yet at a point where I am ready to drop him.
Open Controls
anybody knows why did Derenthe didnt play ? and how is he looking for next few weeks ? transfer him out ?
Open ControlsLooks like I took out my top 10k ranked PP Cup opponent with 37 (pre Bonus). Anyone get through with a worse score than that?!
Open Controlsankle problem I think
Open ControlsReckon Aguero > Rooney makes sense after City vs Norwich
Open Controlsgo Hernandez instead
Open ControlsGoals?
Open ControlsStill going to be rotated. Rooney's capable of bigger hauls and im banking on his form to turn up, when i buy him
Open ControlsI have had throughout his barren spell and have got rid for Hernandez now. I could not pick between Chico and Ade, so I took both at the additional expense of Sturridge.
Open Controls
Quick poll pls
Total bps
Silva
Walcott
Adebayor
Morison.Open ControlsThis is my midfield?
SILVA BJOHNSON BALE EAGLES SINCLAIR
I have 2.2 in the bank i want to upgrade b johnson but for whom?Open ControlsSczezney Vorm
Walker Kompany Jones RTaylor Enrique
Barton Bale Silva Walters Drenthe
Suarez RVP Bendtner
0.1 in the bank
2 free transfers
but i just don't know what to do.....
i know sczezney and barton are weak areas, maybe bendtner and drenthe aswel but can't see many positive options to improve the team...Open ControlsFind a way to get Ade in. He is crucial I think, so downgrading other players to upgrade Bendy to him. Or just trade Suarez out for him
Open Controls
How can this be better with 1-2 moves???
I have...
Vorm (habsi)
Enrique/Jones/Wilko (Rtaylor-Boyata)
Silva VDV Walters Brunt Pilkington
RVP Adebayor Cheech
-Only have .6 so...
-I originally thought of getting brunt out for sess/sinclair.
-Should I go with a GK or defensive move?Open ControlsSell Brunt and Boyata. How much money does that leave you with?
Open Controls
Last time to consider.. Is there any good reason to keep Bendtner and not get Ba?
Please share some thoughts.Open ControlsWolves next for the Bender
Open Controlshe wont score 9 goals all season jmo way over rated
Open ControlsDo you mean Ba or Bendtner?
Open Controlsbentner ba will do a good job and get a few goals done it at west ham
bentner even had a bad scoring record at gunners playing in front of fab nasri etc
bruce would not have touched him only it was so late in transfer windowOpen ControlsThank you for comment. That's a very good point about the support Bendy had.
