Also, how is Pato 'upcoming'? He's been around for 3/4 years, and is a bit over-hyped.

He was 17 when he signed for Milan though it does feel like he's been a high profile player for too long to be on that list.

His potential isn't overhyped, he just keeps getting held back by injuries. Every time he gets into a good run of scoring he picks up an injury and misses a month.

A bit english biased, and there's no left back in your defence. Walker is a RB and the other three are all Centre backs by trade that have been pressed into playing right back recently.
Still, tough to think of a good young left back..

    Begovic Ruddy

Shawcross, S Taylor, Taylor swans, J Evans & Turner

Bale, Nani, Sinclair, Silva & Dyer

    RVP, Ade & Bendtner

£4 million to spend 1 transfer please can I have some suggestions as I can't see an obvious player to sign with good form/fixtures (had 2 transfers but I am bringing in Bale)

A lot of people on here are talking about selling Rooney. I know he's in poor form but he was back up front yesterday and after next week has an excellent run of fixtures. Utd seemed to be creating a lot more yesterday than they have been in recent weeks too. I'm strongly considering getting him in GW15.

Watching Rooney at old trafford on saturday was a joy, he looked sharper than usual and was putting through balls and linking up quite well, i think it may be wise for people to stick, or move sideways to chico, this game next or the week after i bet he does something, im defo bringing in chico anyway.

I think Bruce has been unlucky

Sometimes you can pick a good team on paper, set them up right, but your players just don't deliver the goods

Main problems were Bent getting sold from under him and Gyan deciding he preferred to live in the middle east to the north east of England. If those two were still there it'd be a totally different story

Then again, maybe if he was a better man manager he might have been able to talk them into staying. Who knows

        Yeah, at 11/1.

Did it after reading a very interesting thread on some Blackburn forum (the thread has since been deleted) from some fan who is apparently 'in the know', saying that Kean will definitely not be sacked regardless of what happens this season. There was other stuff about what the Venky's actual motives are at Blackburn and how it spells disaster for them and almost certain relegation, apparently they may also get a points deduction.

Obviously it's a little silly to put money on things based on what you've read from people on online forums, but the guy did seem very much legit and there were a few backing up his claims. And to be fair, it's been pretty accurate so far. Despite all logic pointing towards Blackburn sacking Kean, he's still there and has just been given a new contract.

Also backed Blackburn for relegation after reading it all.

How much and what odds jamsiep?

Blackburn have been unlucky so far imo with their performances, if they can get Samba and Nelsen both 100% they should gather up some points. They could well go down but so could Wolves, Norwich, Wigan, Swansea, QPR or Bolton, it is such an open league this year.

                £260 @ 11/10.

Agreed that they've been unlucky so far, based on their performances so far I really don't think they are the certainty to go down that Locarno seems to think they are.

Same, they are a poor team but their are about 5 or 6 teams equally as bad. One of the reasons I'm confident we will have no trouble staying up, the standard of the lower half of the league this year is terrible, none of them can defend!

Why would they sack him? He is cheap (25k a week), travels to India every fortnight for meetings ( what other manager would do that?) and basically does everything they tell him to do ( chicken adverts, tour of India, friendly game in India during the season - list goes on)

In five seasons of playing FF I have to say Vorm is probably up there in the top five of signings (with regard to value) I've ever made.

I'd be amazed if Swansea can keep a hold of him for next season

Could see Chelsea maybe going for him. Afterall, one more knock and Petr Cech's going to be looking like Robocop with all the protective gear he's going to have be wearing. I think he might be thinking its time to call it a day

Liverpool and Man City games aside, has he actually been *that* good?

Swansea's great clean sheet record so far this season is more down to their possession football, than individual brilliance from Vorm. He's only made more than 3 saves in four games this season.

that's impressive as people who usually chase price rises do so to the ultimate detriment of their pts total. Would be a good learning experience to see your transfer history if you dont mind.

Haven't been chasing rises, just taking them into account. Basically I got all the risers on GW4 wildcard and sold some of them the Saturday morning before deadline. A couple more like Dzeko and Young went later on due to poor performance and were at their peak prices. Got Silva, Ade, Enrique, RVP, VDV, Vorm, Bos (sold at 6.3), and Saylor all at original or lower prices and they've gone up a lot. Haven't had a single price drop bar Suarez who had gone back up by the time I sold. Also have/had quite a few others that have risen .2-.3/banked me .1 profit.

I think the straight jacket might be about to come out, but has anyone considered picking Jones AND Smalling? Think about it, one of them is pretty much guaranteed to play every week, some weeks both might play, but if you have a GW like this one for Jones you still have a United defender in (ok so I know Fab played this w/e, but only cos Smalling is not fully match fit), if you start them b oth and one doesn't play you still have a sub to come in, if you bench one and pick the other you're guaranteed at least 1 of them playing.

Ok you can bring out the men in white coats now.

if you have good enough defenders to cover the prospect of neither playing, which I will when I finalise my team changes (with no wc it takes a few weeks) also leaves me with plenty of cash to change Ba when he goes to ANC

I currently have Kompany, Jones, Enrique, Shawcross and Simpson. One more tweak and it's something I could do also. The only thing that would stop me is the 3 player limit per team.

I have Jones and Hernandez so it works for me, I'm taking Woodgate out for Jags in a few so if neither of them play I still have BAE, Jags and Raylor as my defenders, this may be a plan so barmy it's actually a stroke of genius

I think thats pretty much it. Thats the annoyance of them having such a strong squad. I mean, surely it cant be that Aguero can never last a full 90 - its got to be more that Mancini wants to give token time to his other strikers. Thank christ for the Tevez debacle or the four of them would probably just be playing a half each in turns......

Getting annoyed being an Aguero owner now. Good returns overall yes, but probably you could get the same for less pounds....

Money has irrevocably corrupted football no doubt.

These days your teams are full of people that dont really care about who they play for, and you have fans who are, at some level, resentful of the fact that the players (and managers) they cheer on make more in one week than they do in three years

I've been a football fan my whole life (mainly St Johnstone) and the best ever years were when it was a team of local, die hard part timers who were postmen and butchers during the week and then giving their all on the pitch on Saturday.

Mind you, the quality of football was sh*te

Am looking at Aguero with a similar attitude. The only drawback is that he is the most nailed on league starter of the trio on the most prolific scoring team in the league. Not yet at a point where I am ready to drop him.
