We continue our series of members’ articles, which review the numbers behind the 2015/16 season, with a look at Southampton.

To get underway, we assess the Saints’ team statistics in Ronald Koeman’s final year in charge and compare them to the rest of Premier League, before analysing their first-team squad, main goal threats and creative sources in an attempt to gain insight on their prospects for the upcoming campaign.

The Saints finished in sixth position after embarking on a superb run of form that harvested seven wins and a draw in the final nine league fixtures.

    I think KDB will slowly fade away from the RMTs.

    He's not on tour with the squad which means a couple of sub appearances before he starts.

        I feel as if ppl are planning for it already. I mean yeah it worked out for a lot of people last season since we had terrible starts. But I didn't exactly remember tons of ppl planning it before the season began.

    Sakho refused to go on pre-season tour and Valencia (a player I do rate) has generally been used out wide

    So seems for now like no.9 is Carrolls.... rumours of a move for a striker could change this but he's in my team for now

      Fabregas maybe, but its 50/50 whether Chelsea actually score goals this season.
      Baines definitely not if he's not on pens or set pieces anymore/still. Mirallas tends to take set pieces away from him and last seasons pens were spread out away from him. Hopefully Koeman improves their defence significantly because it was in absolute shambles.

    I really like the look of Holebas, as he is very attacking, but with doubts about whether he will start I like that Watford have an awful opening
