→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

All of last season, between two clubs, two divisions and a respectable 2300 minutes of football, Yakubu managed to net only 12 times. This term, before we’ve even reached the half-way stage, “the Yak” has delivered 9 in the league, one in the cup and sits above the likes of Wayne Rooney, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli in the chase for the Golden Boot.

Blackburn may not have taken advantage of his resurgence in form, in terms of their league position, but we sure did, courtesy of a return on “a goal and Blackburn to win” at 5/2 in last week’s “Flutter”.

Winnings in hand, we stride through Paddy Power’s doors once again to see what prices they have to offer for another gameweek…

First up, we’re sniffing around Liverpool’s Jose Enrique at home to Queens Park Rangers. Although he’s had a three match lull in terms of Fantasy points, the Spaniard is up against a side that has been slowly drifting toward mediocrity after an explosive start to the season. Enrique to assist and score is up for grabs, but with a cleanie very much on the cards, we’ll take that and no booking at 11/10 for £5 of our stake this week.

Next up is Chris Eagles. For a bargain midfielder, he’s accrued a respectable 59 Fantasy Premier League points this campaign so far, featuring heavily in Bolton’s flip-flop form. Paddy favour Villa, even as the visitors here, offering some longer prices with a goal and assist at 14/1. We’ve seen Eagles deliver this twice before this season, so this is a worthy punt for a £1.

Nani has drifted out of many Fantasy line-ups in recent weeks, echoing United’s recent lull in attacking terms. However, the winger has still managed to impress whilst his team-mates struggle to find a goalscoring rhythm – particularly in the midweek Champions League defeat, where Nani looked a major threat. Paddy have Nani to score and perform a back-flip at 9/2 to take our quid this week; they’ve also priced up a less acrobatic goal and assist at 5/1.

Having displayed potent goalscoring potential at West Ham, Demba Ba has really come alive this year in the wake of Newcastle’s summer sales. Calm in front of goal, he nets with his head, left and right boot, and from the penalty spot, with confidence. A one pound stake at 12/1 on Ba to score twice or more against an obliging Norwich defence is well justified, given that he’s already bagged two hat-tricks this season.

Our final market of the week is “Who will score the most goals”, featuring Wayne Rooney at 10/11, Robin van Persie at 13/8 and West Brom’s Shane Long at 3/1. Most weeks we’d look to the Flying Dutchman for goals, but with Rooney’s World Cup ban lightened to lift his spirits, we’ll go with Granville’s ScoutCast heavy-hitter for the last £1 left of our tenner; more for bragging rights rather than hard cash.

Just a reminder, if you missed Thursday’s “Paddy Says”, detailing the bookies view on clean sheets, goals and anytime scorers, you can soak it up right here.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

Paddy have a host of refund offers on show for the weekend. They start at the Stadium of Light for Martin O’Neill’s first match in charge. If O’Neill witnesses four or more goals in the match, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Paddy are also paying back all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the Stoke vs Totttenham clash, if Peter Crouch nets against his old club.

Down at Stamford Bridge, Paddy are risking refunds if there’s a last gasp goal. If a goal is scored in the last five minutes of the Chelsea vs City clash they will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

For Sunderland, yes. We could hope for CS from them more than Newcastle on the road to Norwich. But, I'm really impressed with attacking stat of Blackburn to score away and disappointed with Sunderland DF.

Norwich haven't yet kept any CS this season and that reason made me fancy attacking points from Newcastle. Raylor usually put in a few crosses or freekick every game. His owner will enjoy the hope for one of them will fall into Ba or get in goal during 90 minutes.. 🙂

Yeh I live in Brisbane and only really started following it last year. The standard leaves a lot to be desired but it is progressing well. Last year's grand final was one of the best sporting matches i have ever seen (if not the best). Anyhoo my point is that its good to see the A-League growing beyond our own borders. Its not going to turn into the EPL anytime soon but it definately has the potential to be a great league.

Yeh the Galaxy just came over here actually to play against the Melbourne Victory (Harry Kewell's team). Altho Harry was rested with a groin niggle or something of the sort which was a bit unfortunate. Was still really good match tho with it ending in penalties.

any idea of how long Paddy Kenny might be sidelined? and is it worth it to bring in his QPR understudy Cerny to free up funds? Kenny is 4.5, Cerny just 4.0...

(my other goalkeeper is Krul, who I brought in to replace the injured Given)

If you can happily play Krul the next couple of weeks (which i think you can from memory) then I wouldnt bother. There was talk of Kenny not being out for too much longer on here somewhere.

thanks; the thing is that it would mean more funds to invest elsewhere in the team

for example, if I swap Cerny in for Kenny, I could go from, for example, Brown--> Smalling (if this appears to be a viable move), or maybe strengthen midfield options

there was a comment that Kenny might not be out for long, but as far as I can tell, most sources are saying it will be a month or two on the sidelines--will look for update in the next few days; for now though, it looks like Kenny's value of 4.5 is holding steady, so no need to transfer just yet--but again, Kenny--> Cerny it does allow for upgrading other areas of the team

or just get vorm. im considering keeping kenny til the next wc if possible and just playing vorm til then. saves me a transfer and either he gets better or i swap out then. or both

    vorm, kenny
    jones, enrique, simpson, ward, brown
    vdv, silva, walters, ramsey, dyer
    rvp, aguero, adebayor

2 ft .3 in the bank

looking at getting rid of ramsey. who should i bring in for him?

and thinking of saving the other transfer. any pressing matters or should i just keep it?

Guzan is legit, pick him up. Givens backup rotates well with Vorm.

Guzan does have ability; might be an interesting selection, just hoped he would cost a bit less (he's 4.4)

Currently starting BAE, Enrique, Rtaylor starting.
I am afraid Ntaylor may have a clean sheet though.

    Thoughts pls?

    who to play this week?

    silva (che) or eagles/brunt/vdv/ramsey

put another way, is silva (che) more likely to do something at chelsea than eagles (AVL), brunt (WIG), vdv (stk), or ramsey (EVE)?

based on fixtures and chelsea's 2 consecutive cleanies, i'm thinking citeh won't be doing much.

until the bale defoe injury news i thought about that
I actually have 2 transfers still
would rather jones in for wilko and larsson or 7.5 mid in but I might just make my sideways allen to gower and have extra .2 up my sleeve next week
        no united tho
again another example of fixture over form coz ManU suck at the mo and were lucky to beat norwich and swansea this season
plus I hate them but that wouldnt stop me getting one of the dirtbags in
