→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

All of last season, between two clubs, two divisions and a respectable 2300 minutes of football, Yakubu managed to net only 12 times. This term, before we’ve even reached the half-way stage, “the Yak” has delivered 9 in the league, one in the cup and sits above the likes of Wayne Rooney, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli in the chase for the Golden Boot.

Blackburn may not have taken advantage of his resurgence in form, in terms of their league position, but we sure did, courtesy of a return on “a goal and Blackburn to win” at 5/2 in last week’s “Flutter”.

Winnings in hand, we stride through Paddy Power’s doors once again to see what prices they have to offer for another gameweek…

First up, we’re sniffing around Liverpool’s Jose Enrique at home to Queens Park Rangers. Although he’s had a three match lull in terms of Fantasy points, the Spaniard is up against a side that has been slowly drifting toward mediocrity after an explosive start to the season. Enrique to assist and score is up for grabs, but with a cleanie very much on the cards, we’ll take that and no booking at 11/10 for £5 of our stake this week.

Next up is Chris Eagles. For a bargain midfielder, he’s accrued a respectable 59 Fantasy Premier League points this campaign so far, featuring heavily in Bolton’s flip-flop form. Paddy favour Villa, even as the visitors here, offering some longer prices with a goal and assist at 14/1. We’ve seen Eagles deliver this twice before this season, so this is a worthy punt for a £1.

Nani has drifted out of many Fantasy line-ups in recent weeks, echoing United’s recent lull in attacking terms. However, the winger has still managed to impress whilst his team-mates struggle to find a goalscoring rhythm – particularly in the midweek Champions League defeat, where Nani looked a major threat. Paddy have Nani to score and perform a back-flip at 9/2 to take our quid this week; they’ve also priced up a less acrobatic goal and assist at 5/1.

Having displayed potent goalscoring potential at West Ham, Demba Ba has really come alive this year in the wake of Newcastle’s summer sales. Calm in front of goal, he nets with his head, left and right boot, and from the penalty spot, with confidence. A one pound stake at 12/1 on Ba to score twice or more against an obliging Norwich defence is well justified, given that he’s already bagged two hat-tricks this season.

Our final market of the week is “Who will score the most goals”, featuring Wayne Rooney at 10/11, Robin van Persie at 13/8 and West Brom’s Shane Long at 3/1. Most weeks we’d look to the Flying Dutchman for goals, but with Rooney’s World Cup ban lightened to lift his spirits, we’ll go with Granville’s ScoutCast heavy-hitter for the last £1 left of our tenner; more for bragging rights rather than hard cash.

Just a reminder, if you missed Thursday’s “Paddy Says”, detailing the bookies view on clean sheets, goals and anytime scorers, you can soak it up right here.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

Paddy have a host of refund offers on show for the weekend. They start at the Stadium of Light for Martin O’Neill’s first match in charge. If O’Neill witnesses four or more goals in the match, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Paddy are also paying back all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the Stoke vs Totttenham clash, if Peter Crouch nets against his old club.

Down at Stamford Bridge, Paddy are risking refunds if there’s a last gasp goal. If a goal is scored in the last five minutes of the Chelsea vs City clash they will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Blackburn will surely score and Newcastle will probably concede aswell. So I'm leaning towards playing Taylor as he's on set pieces.

Or am I underestimating the O'Neill/New manager factor?

MoN has historically speaking been a very defensive manager, with good results....he is stepping into a very good squad, yet it could take time to cement his tactics. I could see an argument for both a possibility of Brown's shutout or R Taylor's attacking points...I'd go with Brown he is my first sub

    I'm going with;

    Krul
Assou-Ekotto, Richards (bench), Kompany (bench), Jones, Simpson
Bale, Drenthe (bench), Silva, Ramsey, Gower
    Adebayor, Van Persie, Ba

My transfer is hovering on Bendtner => Ba, but am I better off with Welbeck?

    Decisions, decisions!

I just came on here to say well done on the betting predictions actually. The Ba and the Nani bets were too tempting for me. Never taken any of these bets up before but today I couldn't resist, had £20 on a Ba brace and £4 on a Nani goal + assist. And Nani captain to boot, best fantasy football day since Hangeland and N'Zog went mad at the end of last season.
