Dugout Discussion – Tottenham vs Sunderland

A busy Sunday of football comes to its conclusion at White Hart Lane as Spurs and Sunderland go head-to-head in the 4.30pm kick-off.

The hosts’ 4-0 win over Stoke last weekend boosted out faith in the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, yet their midweek Champions League loss to Monaco at Wembley suggests Mauricio Pochettino’s side have yet to hit top gear.

Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela owners are left cursing their luck after the duo were named amongst the subs, with Mousa Dembele returning to the XI following a six-match suspension.

Certainly, the home side will be buoyed by their visitors’ second-half capitulation at home to Everton on Monday night.

The Black Cats have yet to win under David Moyes and, considering their current form, may well be lucky to avoid a repeat of the 4-1 reverse in the corresponding fixture last season.

            caught Mane for his rise too Acqua, thinking of keeping. Started the season with Firmino but Mane looks more threatening from watching a few Pool games.

            He's the only attacker in that team with pace and is going to be at the end of alot of through balls.

      Quite a few not on a wildcard making early transfers....

      Midweek cup games could change everything. Form is just so hot and cold. What if hazard or ozil scores a brace?

      Absolute madness to be doing non-WC transfers now IMO.

      Is Jaku / Pick the best combo GK if on a WC at that value.

      Currently have Foster Heaton but things get a bit hairy for that combo in a couple of games.

      Foster, Jakupovic
      Shaw, Stones, Evans, Friend, Amat
      Hazard, Sterling, Mane, Redmond, Cattermole
      Benteke, Costa, Lukaku

      For GW7 I'll do this:
      Mane -> Antonio
      Benteke -> Aguero

          Because he hit his pass beyond Rashford, and then a significant deflection off a defender was needed to bring the ball back towards Rashford.

          These types of assists used to count, but not under this season's rules, (and many players have already not been awarded assists like this, for instance Tadic in GW1).

          If FPL are being consistent, they should remove the assist.

      Just thinking... Why people want to get rid of Ibra? Blanked only once in five games, FPL Towers are doing everything to make his score looking good, and United has mediocre Leicester and Stoke at home. He has to stay.

        It's not because of him mainly, it's because of alternatives. Lukaku and Costa are more than matching him. And in most cases, getting them allows a Firmino/Payet.

        - Won't captain him in next 7 gws
        - Lukaku / Costa / Deeney could get close to his returns with +2M less
        - I can have Pool mid instead of Capoue/ Bolasie / Snoddy and Sanchez for Haz later
