Dugout Discussion – Tottenham vs Sunderland

A busy Sunday of football comes to its conclusion at White Hart Lane as Spurs and Sunderland go head-to-head in the 4.30pm kick-off.

The hosts’ 4-0 win over Stoke last weekend boosted out faith in the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, yet their midweek Champions League loss to Monaco at Wembley suggests Mauricio Pochettino’s side have yet to hit top gear.

Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela owners are left cursing their luck after the duo were named amongst the subs, with Mousa Dembele returning to the XI following a six-match suspension.

Certainly, the home side will be buoyed by their visitors’ second-half capitulation at home to Everton on Monday night.

The Black Cats have yet to win under David Moyes and, considering their current form, may well be lucky to avoid a repeat of the 4-1 reverse in the corresponding fixture last season.

        I probably wouldn't be in a rush to make this transfer if I had Man City cover already, like Sterling or KDB. But the fact that I have no City cover at all really edges me towards bringing Aguero in

    Should I do :
    A. Haz Lamela Ibra -> firm antonio aguero (-4)
    B. Haz Lamela Negredo -> fer snodgrass aguero (-4)
    C. Haz Lukaku -> Bolasie Aguero

    Or any other options? So confused.

      Stones - rotation risk with 5.0 defender?
      Valencia - 5.5 defender that can't be trusted against Watford? I would rather have two 4.5 or 5.0 defenders rotation and use money elsewhere

      As dynamic as he looks, I don't think so. I think Firmino'll be great value over his coming fixtures, and a little more consistent with his points.

      For me KDB is the 2nd name in my WC after Kun. Consistent points scorer and I genuinely think he will be PFA player of the year.

        Looking how he plays purely from an FPL perspective, he's creating the chances for Sterling and co., and sometimes is the assister of the assister. I'm still not sure if he's the one to get or Sterling.

        We can love Ozil, De Bruyne, Eriksen, but if there's a Walcott, Sterling, Alli benefitting from those players, then they're the ones to get.

          Not if your alternative method brings you more points... Don't really get the obsession with ownership... Ibra will score you points, no doubt, but he's too expensive to have along with all the other expensive good choices this season, surely Firmo at 3m cheaper is a lot better of the two, just think what you can do with the 3m elsewhere in your team... Will United bounce back, they seem to be out of interest already... Mou just might be poison after all...

        Personally I think someone Like Lukaku could match his points and the funds it frees allows me to have Firmino instead of Snoddy, Bolasie etc.

        IMO Zlatan is the second best pick after Kun, maybe in line with Lukaku.

        Costa is a yellow card magnet, and usually only scores one goal which means 4-5 points max.

        I would pick Zlatan, Kun, Lukaku and Kane before even thinking about Costa
