A busy Sunday of football comes to its conclusion at White Hart Lane as Spurs and Sunderland go head-to-head in the 4.30pm kick-off.

The hosts’ 4-0 win over Stoke last weekend boosted out faith in the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli, yet their midweek Champions League loss to Monaco at Wembley suggests Mauricio Pochettino’s side have yet to hit top gear.

Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela owners are left cursing their luck after the duo were named amongst the subs, with Mousa Dembele returning to the XI following a six-match suspension.

Certainly, the home side will be buoyed by their visitors’ second-half capitulation at home to Everton on Monday night.

The Black Cats have yet to win under David Moyes and, considering their current form, may well be lucky to avoid a repeat of the 4-1 reverse in the corresponding fixture last season.

FFF predicting Hazard to drop tonight. Lots of WCs in play most likely? Don't really want to make my moves now.

  9. Lyonnais
    • 13 Years

Here're the results of today's GW6 wildcard hot topic:

    1. Your prefered goalkeeper pairing?

    Foster & Jakupovic 36%
    Heaton & Pickford 27%
    Foster & Heaton 18%
    Heaton & Jakupovic 9%

Foster, Heaton and Jakupovic are all selected by 55%. Pickford comes in 4th place with 36% of the votes.
Only one manager is opting for the budget (8.1£) pairing Pickford & Jakupovic.

    2. Who is your Everton defender of choice?

    Baines 61%
    Williams 30%
    Coleman 9%

A clear win for Baines, the most expensive Everton option, while only 9% have voted for Coleman, who got a goal and 2 bonus in yesterday's win over Middlesbrough. Williams get's a third of the votes but early signs are showing he may not be the bonus king he was at Swansea?!.

    3. Capoue - 4th mid or 5th mid?

    5th mid. 50%
    4th mid. 32%
    Rotating 4th/5th mid. 18%

50% are still benching Capoue but after he scored again today, I'm sure many will consider playing him from now on. He has great fixtures coming up but he surely can't maintain his shot conversion rate?

    4. Keep Hazard or ditch Hazard?

    Ditch Hazard 95%
    Keep Hazard 5%

A landslide victory for the Hazard out camp. Many have lost patience with him after two consecutive blanks including a captaincy fail in GW4.
Some tricky fixtures are coming his way while Sanchez goes on a great run. De Bruyne is also a popular replacement option in his price bracket.

    5. Which Liverpool midfielder to get?

    Firmino 64%
    Mane 23%
    Lallana 9%
    No Liverpool mid. 4%

Another clear decision for many. Firmino is the most selected choice after scoring twice and assisting once over his last two appearances.
He's also cheaper than Mane which could be crucial to afford another heavy hitter.

    6. Man.City double up or is Kun enough?

Double up with Sterling & Aguero 36%
    Kun is enough 36%
Double up with City mid. (Sterling/KDB) & Aguero 23%

The Man.City double up fraction has definitely risen over the last GW. Many have ignored/not trusted Sterling so far but now he looks like a great option in a free scoring side. A huge 59% are doubling up on the City attack with Aguero and either Sterling or de Bruyne.

    7. Aguero + Ibrahimovic. Yes or no?

    No 50%
    Yes 45%
    Undecided 5%

Very close as expected. With Lukaku/Costa firing atm. many are getting rid of Ibrahimovic and are using the funds to upgrade elsewhere.
A look at his 63% will be very scary for non owners though.

Foster gets injured a lot and rarely plays a full season, (probably why he was put at 4.5 this year).

If Jaku has lost his place by then, you might be without a keeper at some point if you have the Foster/Jaku combo.

              How's this WC look?

              Foster - Jaku
              Holebas - J. Evans - Kelly - Amat - 4.0
              Sanchez - Capoue - Antonio - Sterling - Barry
              Ibra - Costa - Kun

The defense is lightweight but a lot of heavy hitters up front. I think it's silly to go without Ibra just because Man Utd. have had a bad couple of weeks, he will consistently score goals. Costa has also been incredibly consistent although there is the YC issue. Not sure why all the fuss about Firmino, yes Liverpool are scoring a lot of goals but his underlying stats aren't that great.
