For the past year and a half, Charlie Austin has featured around the fringes of the Premier League. Although he enjoyed a breakout season in the top flight in 2014/2015 with QPR, his side was relegated at the end of the campaign.

This saw the former Burnley striker suffer a disrupted season in 2015/2016; the first half of which was spent in the Championship in West London and the second on the physio’s table at Southampton.

But a summer of upheaval on the South Coast has rejuvenated Austin’s prospects. With Italian striker Graziano Pelle departing to China and new manager Claude Puel favouring a 4-4-2 diamond system, a fit and fiiring Austin has found his way back into the side and to scoring form.

The key question surrounding Austin is whether the 6.5 striker has the quality and the service to continue his good run, plus the endurance to maintain it.

Taking a look at Southampton’s performance data as a whole along with Austin’s individual statistics, we attempt to shed some light on the issue in this latest article for members.

    AAAAAAAAAAAnnnnddddd this is it FOLKS!!!!!!
    Almost get a headache 😀

Cech(out after this gw for Pickford),
    Bellerin, Walker, Simpson,
Lanzini(as some kind of surprise), Sanch(C), Sterling(decisive gw), Snoddy,
Aguero, Deeny, Rashford(almost certain transfer out after gw10).

Rest are DDG, Amat, Barry and PVA.

Try to get Lalana for hit next gw, or just wait and see what happens.
Wish the best for this GW, players!!!!!!!!!!

What to do with Antonio ? Have zero,in the bank , so replacement needs to be 7.1 or less

The rest of my mid is Walcott, Samchez, Firmino, Capoue

Worth doing Lallana in or Milner ?

    Pieters vs. Cameron ?

Pieters seems like a secure option at left-back but offers little attacking potential.

Cameron is more of a utility man, currently playing OOP as a DM and is also a great threat in front of goal.

    B)

    Sanchez, Walcott, Allen, Coutinho, KDB

Thanks. Most won't fancy a Bournemouth double up but they seem to be scoring a lot lately. Meanwhile Hull are poor for goals. I'm having a poor season so far so it will be a great differential having both of them. I should go with my gut.

Thoughts on side with 1FT and 0 cash, Ibra is killing me!
    Heaton, Pickford
    Walker, Mustafi, Williams, Evans, Amat
    Mane, Walcott, Antonio, Capoue, Fletcher
    Aguero, Ibra Lukaku

Ibra downgraded to someone (not sure who) and then use the cash an upgrade Capoue/Fletcher for a -4 hit is my thinking.

Austin, Wilson the 3rd striker choice of the cogniscenti

Rondón, Deeney the slightly tarnished previous gems

Ibra for whichever of them you fancy, keep Fletch as a splinter magnet on the bench, upgrade Cap to a G like Sterling, Firm, Cout, Siggy, probably can't afford Payet, KdBizzle or Sanch though
