This evening we reveal the managers who have made it through to the third round of the 13th instalment of our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

For this latest contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

Last year’s winner I Casillas Winning’s score of 55 saw him overcome Tufs to set up a round three clash with Allezlechef. Just 10,000 places separates this pair in the overall rankings.

Gribude is another former cup holder to make it through. He beat Allgonepozzo in round two and faces Cok3y5murf next.

Ex-champ MCH also progresses, after seeing off Shem Bayley. He takes on community regular Rhinos in round three.

Sadly, the second round marked the end of the road for another former winner, Ninja Fit Saints, who was beaten 70-49 by Jurgen.

The highest scoring manager of the round and recipient of a £30 FanDuel credit was DaJoeyNdo Show, whose sensational score of 95 left Stoorey’s tally of 40 for dust and saw him leap from 346,603rd in the overall rankings to 57,443rd.

Teguh D Puncak, who he faces next, is unlikely to be worried though as he sits more than 50,000 places higher within the top 5,000.

The four next high scoring managers, who all receive a £10 FanDuel credit, were Captainjpd, Delt_eple, DJDave1979 and Dogba.

Andy85wsm, the competition’s only Scoutcast representative to make it past the first round, marches on. He beat Lardy to set up a third round tie with Anuliz.

Two other members of our moderator and contributor team also make it through. Greenwindmill will face Archie, while Stilicho squares up to lowlifegimpe in round three.

Other notable match ups in the next round include Lateriser12’s encounter with The TinMan, Parm’s tie with TommyJ and What the Fans Say community article writer Bolivian Seaman’s clash with Al Fresco.

The manager to draw the short straw in round three is 433,854 ranked Malvern Angells. He faces Dempele, who at 177th is the highest placed manager remaining in the tournament.

The second round results can be found via this link, while the full third round draw can be found here.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes click this link.

I'd be grateful for your feedback on this team:

    Heaton - Jaku
    Alonso - Lovren - Holebas - Friend - Kingsley
    Sanchez - Hazard - Firmino - Sigurdsson - Walcott
    Aguero - Anichebe - Llorente

    Formation 3-5-2 or 4-5-1

Planning to switch Heaton to Pickford and upgrade Friend over next 2 weeks

Have taken a punt on Anichebe and Llorente to be honest - yes you're right about Friend - guess I should stick with it over next few weeks and see how they do - I just love to tinker! Is it worth hanging on to Heaton? They've got some good fixtures lined up

It's really hard to find out about players who aren't from the top teams - I found an article which suggested Friend wouldn't be back until Christmas now - I can't see him starting against Hull - fingers crossed though will play him and see!

Is it worth switching Kingsley to Amat on a free transfer as he seems to be playing more regularly at moment - got no money in bank to upgrade them and would like some cover until Friend returns

I think you're right. I'd earmarked VVD a while back for a transfer in around now due to good fixtures and goal threat but he hasn't scored in the league this season yet and Southampton don't seem to threaten much from set-pieces either.

I think I'm better off with Cedric and the £0.6m for elsewhere.

I don't want to poke the hornet's nest again, but surely Firmino's flag can be removed now?

Just every newspaper (including the Paisley Gates!) reporting he is fit.

By every newspaper you mean those bastions of truth and independent reporting The Daily Star and Metro? The latest is from The Echo who are running a story about him not seen in training!
Who knows what to think. At least we are lucky enough to have a free press to educate the public. One of the cornerstones essential to democracy

    Sanchez, Firmino, Coutinho*, Siggy, Fletcher
    Aguero, Costa, Austin

    1FT, 0.6 idb

    Cou to who?
Spurs mids are one option but I'm not convinced as their form isn't good plus mid up to 7.9 (who) allows me Morgan -> Alonso next GW.
    What would U recommend?

so you recommend not to go with Spurs mids (as a cover) and doubble Ars mid, right?

It enable you to get Alonso who imo is a must from GW15. So I'd say go for it.

    Right guys, so

    Heaton

    Brunt - Clyne - Holebas
    Hazard - Sanchez - Firmino - Bolasie
    Aguero(c) - Benteke - Austin

    Foster - Fletcher - Kingsley - McNair

    1FT - 2.0 itb

Don't know what to do best so thinking just McNair to Cedric this week to have enough defenders in case Holebas isn't ready.
    Otherwise i might keep FT..

    Thoughts?
    Thx

Used -12 to get Kane, and I'm afraid I'm thinking captain him now to justify my hits..but I have to consider all alternatives - who to captain?

    Sanch/Haz/Pedro/Siggy
    Aguero/Kane/Austin
